Bumps And Bruises! Mindless Behavior Talks About Craziest Fan Experiences On The Road!
My name is Jaqueline Lima and this was the best day of my life. When Justin came on stage, I thought my heart was going to come out through my mouth with excitement. When ‘U Smile’ started playing, I cried a lot. I was there singing and enjoying the show. When I looked forward, I saw Carin and some security guards. She pointed at me and said something in the security guard’s ear and he nodded. When I saw her coming towards me, I was freaking out so she spoke in my ear, “ Do you wanna be the One Less Lonely Girl?” The translator did not think I understood what she said to me and said, “She asks if you want to be One Less Lonely Girl”, then I said, ”Yes yes yes”. I started screaming. When we were walking back from the stage I was jumping for joy and thanking Carin so much for choosing me. We got there and they brought me to sit on a stool and gave me a bottle of water. I was there waiting for my moment . There were dancers who came to greet me and I was watching them when I saw Diane (JB’s grandmother) coming towards me. She greeted me too. I was so happy to see Kenny next to me and smile. S o the song ‘One Less Lonely Girl’ started and I was very nervous and happy. The translator began to tell me that I can not grab him, kiss him, or speak with him. I was to enjoy the moment with him. Waiting for a few moments before going on stage, Carin calls me to stand behind the curtain. T here I was holding the hand of Carin, waiting to have the best time of my life. When the curtains opened, my heart soared. I could not believing that I was stepping on the same stage as Justin. The dancers took me to the stool and remained there until Justin came towards me. He handed me the bouquet and I was lost in the glare of his eyes. It was all so perfect, better than I thought. He was singing close to me and gave me a hug at the end! I want to t hank God, & my parents were very happy for me. See original here: My name is Jaqueline Lima and this was the best day of my life….

Skrill’s high-energy gig with Diplo was part of six-show EDM series in Los Angeles. By Lara Kathleen Kelley Skrillex and 12th Planet perform in Los Angeles Photo: Michelle Oglakhchyan It’s officially Skrillex week in Los Angeles, where MTV’s EDM Artist of the Year just finished his second gig in a series of six back-to-back shows, each spotlighting diverse talent in the now-reigning dubstep scene. Wednesday night’s gig at CYP2, a popular bi-weekly indie dance music event, featured Skrillex performing a back-to-back set with 12th Planet, Diplo and UK producer Caspa for a jam-packed crowd at the Echoplex. “The show sold out in under 20 minutes,” said Danny Johnson, co-producer of CYP2. “Skrillex and 12th Planet are best buds, Caspa is a dubstep don and Diplo has championed these artists from day one, so the lineup made perfect sense and the fans went crazy for it.” As soon as the doors opened, partygoers piled in, energy high and anticipation permeating the air. Music pumped from the speakers by DJ Franki Chan, owner of the IHeartComix label and CYP2 co-producer. Then DJ/producer Diplo lit up the crowd with bass-heavy beats and hard-core hip-hop tracks. But it wasn’t until Skrillex took the stage with 12th Planet that the fans went crazy and began screaming, chanting and moshing for the dubstep duo. Skrillex pumped up the fans and held them at his fingertips with tracks like “Breakin’ a Sweat” and “Right on Time.” The set included all of their popular singles as well as remixes of Avicii’s “Levels,” La Roux’s “In for the Kill” and Rusko’s “Hold On.” Their two-and-a-half-hour set kept the crowd on their feet and begging for more bass until the lights came on. 12th Planet, born John Dadzie, had nothing but great things to say about the five-time Grammy-nominated artist formerly known as Sonny Moore. “Skrillex and I met at Ultra Music Festival a few years ago and have been good friends ever since,” he said. “We started doing collaborations together, and he would sing vocals during my sets. Since then, Skrillex has become a beast, and now when I get the opportunity to work with him, I learn as much as I possibly can. 12th Planet, recently deemed “U.S. dubstep godfather” by dance-music magazine Mixmag, spent much of 2011 on tour with Skrillex. “Performing with Skrillex reminds me of how much fun it is to tag-team DJ with one of your good friends. I love the chemistry that comes together when I play with Skrillex … we can pretty much connect by E.S.P. during our sets.” Just this month, 12th Planet released his five-track free-for-download The End Is Near. It will be complimented by a 28-city North American tour that kicks off on February 2 in Miami, Florida. The week-long Skrillex takeover continues with a show Thursday (January 26) night at the Exchange in Downtown L.A. followed by massive gigs at the Avalon in Hollywood Friday night, the Palladium on Saturday and L.A. Live on Sunday. Are you planning on seeing Skrillex live? Let us know in the comments! Related Videos Best EDM Artist Of 2011 Debate Related Artists Skrillex

My name is Erika, I’m 16 and I’m from a town outside of Toronto, Canada! I have seen Justin 6 times live, went to go visit Stratford and got the AMAZING opportunity to meet him on December 22nd 2009 when he came to Much Music! My friend has some connections with Much and she got us in to have VIP seats for the show and to go to the meet and greet after! We couldn’t get to talk to him that much because there were tons of fans there! But we got signatures and then a professional picture with him after! He was so sweet, he asked us how we were and at the end of our picture we asked for a hug and he said of course. I’ve been a Belieber since June of 2009 and I will never stop. Justin has taught me so much of how to accomplish your dreams and I never say never. It was one of the greatest experiences of my life and I will never forget it! I don’t like seeing all the hate he gets but I want him to know that I will never stop standing up for him and being by his side no matter what happens. I love him with all my heart, and us beliebers are the greatest fan base out there! Thanks for the opportunity to share my story. I think it’s awesome what you do and I want to let you know that I appreciate it soo much! And I know Justin does too. – @erikasgromo See the rest here: My name is Erika, I’m 16 and I’m from a town outside…

My name is Marta and I’m a Spanish belieber. I’m going to try to tell you my Bieber experience. The contest to meet Justin was very, very hard. There was four days of nerves and no sleep because the contest was based by how many “likes” you got. I asked my friends & family for votes. My dad was asking their friends for vote too and my friends did the same. At lunch time my friends and I were voting with 20 computers in the computer room. We had many votes, but weren’t sufficient because the other girls who were in the contest had more votes than us. At 7:03 p.m. I heard my phone. I started to shake and answered it. The man said to me that in 3 days, at 5pm more or less I would meet Justin. Everyday I feel so bad for not hugging Justin or didn’t tell him how I need him in my life. But I’m happy because at the end of the day, I met him and it was my dream. My sisters, brothers, members of my big family want to say that you shouldn’t give up. Never because dreams come true. I want to also say that if you have the opportunity to meet him, to tell him how many you love him and hug him. I’m the girl on the right (@martasancheez) and my friend is the girl of left (@cuquii96) Video of us crying after meeting Justin. Follow this link: My name is Marta and I’m a Spanish belieber. I’m…

My name is Kelsey. I’m 13 and from Pennsylvania . One day I was sitting at home to hear my mom yelling with excitement , “Come here look what your aunt sent me on Facebook!” I came downstairs to think it was something dumb, to find a picture of Justin Bieber holding the sign my aunt had made for him saying, “Hi Kelsey and Lexi. Can’t wait to see you Friday night at the show!” My sister and I were so excited, we had no idea we were going to his little concert on QVC. 2 days later it was the day we were gonna see Justin Bieber perform. There were no promises that we were gonna meet him, but we were still very excited! My aunt had comeover to pick us up and right away came in with 2 signed posters! He wrote our names on it and signed it! At his little concert on QVC he performed 5 songs, he was there to promote his album “My World 2.0”. Right after he was done performing, my aunt told us to come with her. We had no idea what was going on so we walked down all these stairs to get to the basement. I opened the door and there was Pattie, his whole band, Scotter, Ryan, and so many more people. Then I saw Justin Bieber. He walked right up to me, gave me a hug and we talked for 5 minutes! He asked if we wanted a picture and of course I said YES. I gave him another hug and left. March 12th 2010, was one of the best days of my life and a day I will never forget because I met my hero. Fan-made video for ‘The Kids From Yesterday’ looks back at the band’s rise to fame. By James Montgomery My Chemical Romance’s Gerard Way in “The Kids From Yesterday” music video Photo: Warner Music Group Really, My Chemical Romance ‘s Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys deserved better. A big, bold re-invention of their sound and swagger, it was, by the band’s own admission, a “missile” aimed at destroying the staid state of rock and roll, and perhaps because of that fact, it failed to catch on here in the states. You could practically track its decline based on the videos MCR released off the album, starting with the big-budget “Na Na Na” and the equally flashy follow-up, “Sing,” in which they offed the titular Killjoys (who seemingly will never be heard of again). Their next single, “Planetary (Go!)” came coupled with a live video, and, to the best of my knowledge, a clip for “Bulletproof Heart” never materialized at all. My Chem actually seemed to address the matter in an interview with MTV News last year , in which frontman Gerard Way lamented that the band had “gone through so many things” over the course of the Danger Days cycle, and hinted that, if there were to be any more videos off the album, they’d have to be financed by MCR themselves. So it’s somewhat fitting that, on Monday, they unveiled the final clip from Danger Days: a fan-made video for “The Kids From Yesterday” that documents the band’s decade-long climb from Neo-Goth New Jersey rockers to interplanetary conceptual quartet. Like the song itself, the clip is a bittersweet thing, recounting MCR’s many triumphs (a pastiche of memorable live moments, it culminates with their headlining slots at Reading and Leeds this past summer), while leaving those who love to read between the lines to wonder if perhaps the band’s latest era also represents the end … not necessarily of My Chem themselves, but of a moment in rock that now seems to have all but disappeared. Truly, MCR were the last bastions of the heady heyday of mid-aughts MySpace punk, and now, well, who knows what’s next? Of course, much of the message behind Danger Days seems to be one of self-empowerment, of inspiring fans to take matters into their own hands and shaking up the status quo. That’s yet another reason why “Kids” is such a fitting sendoff; it was made in collaboration with a fan named Emily Eisemann, who had culled through live footage and initially created a clip of her own. There’s a reason why the video ends with the phrase “Art is the Weapon,” after all: it’s been the band’s clarion call this entire time. It’s also something Way touched on during Danger Days’ release, when he told MTV News that the album was not a conceptual piece, but rather “a complete allegory” for smashing the system and placing the power directly in the hands of their fans. And “Kids” is proof that MCR’s message was heard loud and clear, perhaps not by a majority of the record-buying public, but definitely — and most appropriately — by their fans. Sometimes, sales aren’t the only measure of a band’s success, and Danger Days is a testament to that fact. “Kids” may bring one chapter of their career to a close, but wherever My Chemical Romance go next, you know they’ll do so boldly; that’s what makes great bands truly great after all: the willingness to push the boundaries, to purvey inspiration, to shake things up … sometimes even at their own expense.
