At last check, despite reports of their demise, George Clooney and Stacy Keibler were still together. But now…? Sources tell The New York Daily News that Clooney and Keibler are ” barely talking ” at the moment and “she is worried that he may break up with her any day now.” If that takes place, at least the former WWE Diva can take comfort in the fact that she won’t be the first beauty dumped by Clooney. Or the 31st, for that matter. Keibler attended New York City Fashion Week last month on her own and sources tell the newspaper they are spending less and less time together. “George is being really distant and pulling away from her,” alleges this mole. “She wakes up every morning and doesn’t know what’s going to happen.” But at least she has a steady gig to fall back on: Keibler is the new host of Supermarket Superstars .
Kate Gosselin tweeted a photo of her 11-year-old daughter Mady trying on her high heels this weekend, and many of her Twitter followers were not big fans. Much like Jessica Simpson’s baby bikini photo , some people say she went too far. In Kate’s case, the seemingly innocent pic shows Mady’s bare legs in mom’s heels: The mother of eight tweeted with the photo: “hafta make u guess who just HAD to try on my heels that I just unpacked from my bag tonight… Starts w an ‘M.” Many of her followers were less than impressed. A vocal Kate critic wrote: “What Mom showcases her 11 yr old’s legs to 100,000 Twitter followers with all the pedophiles out there, wearing Mom’s high heels!” Some stood up for the reality star turned Fashion Week runway model . “I guess I’m truly NOT SEEIN what they see! This is downright sad… An eye-opening web series which explores the world of fashion outside New York, Paris, London and Milan is returning for a second season, and it uncovers the extreme measures models will go to just to participate. Travelling to Jamaica, Israel, South Korea and Uzbekistan, Vice magazine’s Fashion Week Internationale follows host Charlet Duboc as she investigates rampant plastic surgery, racial tensions and strange cultural phenomenons. Going behind the scenes, she uncovers the trend of models’ skin bleaching, as well as a popular eyelid surgery and their struggles with transgender modelling. In the first episode of the new season, Ms Duboc heads backstage during Rio fashion week, explores the catwalks amongst shanty towns, and investigate a dicey racial issue, an emerging trend of transgender supermodels. In another episode in Kingston Jamaica, one model says to Ms Duboc, ‘You may not be able to have your food, but you’ve got to have your skin bleaching,’ and in Seoul, she follows models as they undergo eye-lid surgery in an effort to adhere to an ‘ideal look’ of westerners. Last season saw Ms Duboc unearth the cultural dynamics of fashion weeks in places such as Nigeria, Colombia, and Pakistan, where she watched and filmed a model getting a butt cheek implant. Vice Global Editor Andy Capper added: ‘Our expertise is not really in haute couture or in fashion, but in finding human stories behind them and luring people in with a tag like “fashion.”‘ The series airs on Vice September 13, where they will move from Rio Fashion Week through to the Caribbean and finally Tel Aviv, the last episode which airs December 13. It’s not like any of this should come as a surprise but we wish that people would smarten up enough to stop slicing, dicing and bleaching themselves to live up to some standard of beauty that ain’t even all that most of the time. Since his powerhouse performances at the London Olympics, the swimming champion has already booked guest-starring gigs on both 90210 and 30 Rock and was even considered (briefly) as a candidate for The Bachelor (he’s now out of the running).
