Kanye West Reportedly Wants To Work On Music And Fashion While In Hospital Despite citing, exhaustion, dehydration, paranoia and depression as reasons for his hospitalizaion, Kanye West is still trying to work according to USMagazine . “Kanye keeps wanting to work. At the hospital, he requested that recording equipment be brought to the hospital so he can record in his bed,” the insider tells Us. “And he has kept asking to see sketches of his fashion lines.” The source adds: “He continues to want to work and Kim has to keep telling him to rest.” “Can’t Tell Me Nothin’” was more than just a song… “Kim wouldn’t leave his side except to see the kids,” a source previously told Us, referring to the couple’s children, North, 3, and Saint, 11 months. “She’s been at the hospital all the time. Kim has been keeping a very close watch on him and not letting people disturb him. All kinds of people have called and sent flowers, but she’s being very careful about not disturbing him and making sure he rests and recovers.” We hope Kanye gets better, but he doesn’t seem to know how to just chill out. As you’ve likely heard, Kanye West was hospitalized last week after suffering an emotional breakdown during a session with his personal trainer. There were reports that West would be released earlier this week, but now we’re learning that the rapper will remain at the UCLA Medical Center for the foreseeable future. There are conflicting reports about the nature and severity of West’s condition, but accounts concur that West has been clashing with medical staff and complicating his own course of treatment. As for what triggered Kanye’s breakdown , there are varying reports on that score, as well. Some say it began with the death of his mother, Donda West, back in 2007. Others say Kanye was more upset than he let on in the weeks after his wife, Kim Kardashian, was robbed at gunpoint in Paris, and the pressure of touring after such a traumatic event eventually got to him. Now, a new report from Us Weekly is offering a third explanation, claiming that the Wests were on the brink of divorce in the weeks before Kanye’s breakdown. An insider tells the magazine that after Kim’s robbery, the couple was forced to spend large amounts of time apart for the first time in their marriage. Kim thought it best that she lie low at home while Kanye was on tour, and the distance between them resulted in an emotional rift. “The trauma of the incident made her more hesitant to do things,” explains the source. “Of course it strained their relationship, because she hadn’t seen him.” The insider adds that the new circumstances seemed to take a greater toll on Kanye than on Kim: “He would be up all night ranting about things. They were fighting because he was impossible to live with,” says the source. “The mere thought of his wife being taken from him was too much — it was like his mother’s death. Seeing Kim close to death did a major number on him. It sent him into a tailspin.” The insider adds that the robbery resulted in a shift in Kim and Kanye’s relationship which created problems: “She felt like now she needed him to be stable and her rock instead of the other way around,” says the source. “Kanye’s so used to getting Kim’s constant support, but it’s always about Kanye. “Kanye’s behavior took a huge toll on their marriage. But Kim feels relieved he is getting the help he needs. She thinks this is what it will take to save him — and help their marriage.” Rumors about Kim and Kanye parting ways have been circulating for years, but this seems to be the roughest patch they’ve endured so far. Kim Kardashian is not leaving Kanye West alone in hospital and is intent on nursing her husband back to good health. It’s been one week since Kanye was hospitalized after a raft of worrying behavior, but Kim is sticking by his side. “Kim has been amazing,” the insider revealed to Us. “She knew he couldn’t keep going the way he was. She has been by his side through all of this, helping to feed him and lying by his side.” It’s pretty amazing that she’s taking such a keen interest in ensuring her husband is healthy. That’s what any significant other should be doing. The thing that makes it even more amazing is that Kim has been trying to get her life back on track in the wake of being held at gunpoint in Paris last month, so she’s had to put her emotions on hold. If there’s one thing that’s becoming increasingly clear about the Kardashian women, it’s that stick by the men in their lives. Kanye was kept in hospital over the Thanksgiving period, and was expected to be released yesterday. Kim allegedly wanted Kanye back at home in order to continue to nurse him, but the brakes were put on that plan when it emerged that Kanye needed to stay in hospital for longer. All of this drama has probably played a part in the production of Keeping Up with The Kardashians coming to a halt . Yes, you guys, the end of our favorite reality TV show may soon be upon us. Two pauses in production in a matter months is not good. Production is not expected to resume until 2017, but we have no idea whether it will ever enter production. It doesn’t seem possible, but this weekend, America is loving Hamilton just a little bit more than it already did. And that’s because, on Friday night, Hamilton told Vice President-elect and notoriously terrible human being Mike Pence. They expressed their fears that he wouldn’t protect all the people in this country, but they expressed those concerns with respect and kindness. Donald Trump, Pence’s bestie, was deeply offended, and he called for an apology , but Pence himself? He was pretty cool with it. Mike Pence on Hamilton: I’m Not Offended! Pence went on Fox News Sunday, and towards the end of the interview he was asked about the Hamilton fiasco. He said that he and his family “really enjoyed” the show, and that it was an “incredible production,” and that it was “a real joy to be there.” With tickets sold out for pretty much the rest of eternity, yeah, we imagine it’s be a joy to be there. Then, as hilarious yet embarrassing as it is, Pence said that he did hear some boos as he took his seat, but “I nudged my kids and reminded them that’s what freedom sounds like.” He said that he did hear the speech, and “I wasn’t offended by what was said.” He added that “I’ll leave to others whether that was the appropriate venue to say it.” Pence went on to give a mini-speech, in which he said “I know this is a very disappointing time for people that did not see their candidate win in this national election.” “I just want to assure people that what President-elect Donald Trump said on election night, he absolutely meant from the bottom of his heart.” “He is preparing to be the president of all of the people of the United States of America, and to watch him bringing together people of diverse views, bringing together people that differed with him strongly, seeing him talk to leaders around the world …” “I just want to reassure every American that in the days head, I’m very confident,” he said. “They’re going to see President-elect Donald Trump be a president for all of the people, and we embrace that principle and we’re going to work hard to make that principle every day that we serve.” Nobody wanted to hear all that nonsense, so he was asked if he wanted to hear an apology from the Hamilton cast and crew. “As I said, I would leave that to others whether that was the appropriate venue for that,” he answered. So all this sounds pretty coached, right? Or at least like he coached himself to play it cool. If theatre-goers booing at him was “what freedom sounds like,” then wouldn’t the actual speech also be what freedom sounds like? Hamilton Cast Delivers Speech to Mike Pence Why not just stick with that instead of the whole “I’m not going to say that it hurt my feelings, but if other people think it was really mean of them, then that’s cool” bit? But hey, at least he said that he wasn’t offended, right? And he very willingly admitted that Hamilton is an absolutely amazing show. It’s more than what Donald Trump did. Yesterday, after the news of what happened began circulating, Trump tweeted “Our wonderful future V.P. Mike Pence was harassed last night at the theater by the cast of Hamilton, cameras blazing. This should not happen!” “The Theater must always be a safe and special place,” he wrote. “The cast of Hamilton was very rude last night to a very good man, Mike Pence. Apologize!” He must have really been torn up about it all, because this morning at 6:22 AM, he tweeted “The cast and producers of Hamilton, which I hear is highly overrated, should immediately apologize to Mike Pence for this terrible behavior.” “Highly overrated”?
