James DiMaggio, the California murder suspect who allegedly kidnapped 16-year-old Hannah Anderson, was shot and killed by the FBI in the Idaho wilderness. Anderson was rescued alive nearby. Hannah Anderson Rescued, James DiMaggio Killed She appeared to be uninjured and will be reunited soon with her father at a hospital, where health care providers and crisis counselors were assisting her. “We will make sure she gets as much care as possible, physically and emotionally,” said Andrea Dearden, a spokeswoman from the Ada County Sheriff’s Dept. The shooting came after officers spotted James DiMaggio’s campsite from the air and an FBI hostage recovery team trekked to the site deep in the woods. “No one really knows where an investigation like this will lead,” said Mary Rook of the FBI’s Salt Lake City division. “In this case, our team faced a very challenging situation.” It marked the end of a days-long, multi-state manhunt. The bodies of Hannah Anderson’s mother, Christina, 44, and the teen’s 8-year-old brother, Ethan, were found in DiMaggio’s burning house outside San Diego. DiMaggio was close to the family. Christina Anderson’s husband, Brett, has described him as a best friend and said the children thought of him as an uncle. Authorities have said DiMaggio had an “unusual infatuation” with Hannah Anderson, although the father said he never saw any strange behavior. An Amber Alert was issued when he abducted her, and tips led investigators to Oregon after DiMaggio and the teen were reportedly spotted there. But it wasn’t until an Idaho horseback rider called in a tip that investigators found a major lead – DiMaggio’s car, hidden under brush at a trailhead. About 270 law enforcement officers from the FBI, local Idaho sheriffs’ offices, Idaho State Police, the U.S. Marshals Service, and the Border Patrol swarmed the roadless area. San Diego County Sheriff William D. Gore announced Hannah Anderson’s rescue and DiMaggio’s death from a news conference in California Saturday.
Hours of emotional testimony in the custody battle between Usher and his ex-wife today resulted in the singer keeping primary custody of the former couple’s two sons. As previously reported, five-year old Usher Raymond V nearly drowned on Monday and remains in the ICU under doctor’s care, though all accounts say the boy will recover fully. Usher Enters Courtroom In response to the incident, Tameka Raymond was granted an emergency hearing in which she argued that Usher is a negligent father who too often leaves the children under someone else’s supervision. According to TMZ sources, Tameka reiterated on the stand that the pool accident was simply the latest in a string of examples that prove Usher is an inattentive parent. She even broke down at one point when discussing her reaction to little Usher’s condition immediately following the incident. Usher and his legal team, meanwhile, argued that the accident could have happened to anyone at any time and that the singer positively loves his children. In the end, a judge ruled that Usher will maintain primary custody and Tameka will retain her right to occasionally visit with the boys. At the conclusion of the hearing, Usher embraced his ex-wife.

Son Puts Father In Critical Condition According to Mail Online A 21-year-old Mississippi man put his father in critical condition with a single punch on Sunday night after discovering, during a family dinner, that the older man was having an affair. Taylor Dwayne Harris learned his dad, Leonard Harris, 52, was cheating on his mother and receiving text messages from another woman at Dave and Buster’s restaurant in Orlando, Florida, where the family was on vacation. Angry and upset, the son stormed outside, yelling behind him ‘you better not come out here,’ to his father. But his dad followed him into the parking lot and witnesses saw a fight ensue between the two, ending in a single punch and the older man’s head hitting the concrete with a crack. A witness told deputies, according to a sheriff’s office report obtained by the Orlando Sentinel: ‘When the victim fell and hit the concrete… she could hear the victim’s head hit the concrete three car lengths away.’ Soon after, a doctor and his wife, a registered EMT, arrived at the restaurant for dinner and when they saw the man laying motionless in the parking lot, rushed to help the victim. The couple began performing CPR on the older Harris who had stopped breathing and lost his pulse. A Fire Rescue crew arrived moments later and managed to resuscitate him before he was transported to Dr. Phillips Hospital and later to Orlando Regional Medical Center where he is being treated in the neurological intensive car unit. Taylor Harris was arrested on a charge of aggravated battery with great bodily harm/domestic violence. The victim’s wife and suspect’s mother, Mary Harris, told officers she insisted her husband follow her son outside to check he was OK, after he left the table upset. Minutes later, Taylor Harris returned to the table and asked her to go check on his father, she said, adding that when she got back to the table the son was in tears. According to the Sentinel, Taylor Harris told his mother he left the restaurant to cool off but his dad ‘got in his face and would not leave him alone.’ The son remains held without bail in the Orange County Jail. Flo Rida Proven Not To Be The Father Of Groupie’s Baby Via TMZ reports Somebody call Maury … because Flo Rida underwent a paternity test to determine if he’s the daddy of a 2-year-old boy in Florida — and according to the documentation, he’s free and clear. TMZ broke the story … Flo Rida was sued for child support in Florida by a woman named Gloria Holloway, who insists Flo fathered her kid. Flo — real name Tramar Dillard — adamantly denied paternity … and now he’s got proof in the form of a DNA test. TMZ has obtained the doc … and according to the paperwork, there is a 0% chance that Flo is the daddy. Sources close to the rapper tell us, his attorneys will be filing the DNA test results with the Florida Department of Revenue to block Holloway from obtaining a child support order against him.
