Taylor Swift on Heartbreak: It’s Complex!

Taylor Swift knows a thing or two dozen about heartbreak. And in the latest issue of Wonderland – without dropping the names of Harry Styles , Taylor Lautner or any ex – the singer opens up about the experience of ending a relationship. “It’s very complex; you’re never feeling just sad,” Swift said of heartbreak “Maybe you wake up and you feel sad, and then you get angry, and then you feel like ‘I’m fine’, and then you feel confident, and then you feel a sense of doubt, and then you’re insecure, and then there’s jealousy, and then you’re back to sad – and then you feel fine again.” We’ve all been there, haven’t we? Swift goes on to compare relationships to “traffic lights” and says she can “only exist in a relationship if it’s a green light.” As for the future? Yes, Taylor will be on tour . But where will she be mentally? Emotionally?Your guess is as good as hers. “I have no idea if I’m going to get married or be single forever or have a family or just be on my own,” she tells the magazine. “I just have no idea and I’m kind of into that. You can make a board for all the goals you want in your life with the pictures on it, and that’s great, daydreaming is wonderful, but you can never plan your future.”

Lindsay Lohan in Dark Place, May Die at Coachella, Friend Says

Lindsay Lohan‘s plans to attend the 2013 Coachella music festival has her alleged best friend very upset. Claus Hjelmbak says, in no uncertain terms: “I fear for Lindsay’s life if she goes to the festival.” Hjelmbak, a Danish celebrity promoter, has been friends with Lohan for years, and has decided to go public with his fears “in order to get her attention.” We’re sure that’s all that prompted it, Claus. “Lindsay is in a very dark place right now, and I’m absolutely scared for her life. Coachella is the last place she needs to be,” says this Lohan insider. “For someone struggling with addiction, like Lindsay, the amount of drugs and alcohol at Coachella is just a recipe for disaster waiting to happen.” “I know because I have been to the VIP tent at Coachella. Lindsay can turn it around, but she has to look deep inside herself and get the help she needs.” Somehow, attorney Mark Heller and prosecutors agreed to a plea deal in which the wayward, maligned actress did not have to enter rehab until May. This would allow her to attend Coachella … so important. Lindsay Lohan “was adamant that she not be forced to go to rehab until after Coachella,” says another insider. “She LOVES going to the musical festival.” “She’s determined to go this year. She didn’t want a little thing like rehab to get in her way. Linds refused to sign off on any deal that would have prevented it.” “It’s that important to her, for some strange reason.” Lohan has attended the Coachella music festival from 2010-2012, and Claus has choice words for Lohan if she attends with her posse this time. “The people associated with Lindsay right now are a very bad influence on her. They are only using her because they love to be around a celebrity,” he says. “Lindsay needs to cut off ties with these losers because they are bringing her down. I wish Lindsay would go to rehab right now, not at the last possible moment.” Don’t we all, Claus-Man. Don’t we all.

Janelle Monae and her beautiful grill just landed the cover of ESSENCE Magazine ! Here’s what readers can expect from the cover story: Janelle Monáe is no ordinary artist. She lives, breathes and dreams of being true to herself, inspiring young women and, of course, imagining interplanetary escapades. ESSENCE Contributing Writer Lola Ogunnaike visits the singer’s quirky Wondaland studio and discovers the beauty and brilliance of her world. Monáe is also slated to perform on the Mainstage during the ESSENCE Festival, held July 4th weekend in New Orleans. And here’s an interesting quote from the story: “Showing my skin is not what makes me s3xy. I like skirts and dresses just like everyone else, but I had a message I needed to put out there. It was up to me to show people and young girls there was another way…”— Janelle Monáe Oooh we like! Sounds like she is trying to balance out all the Rihannas of the world.

WATCH: ‘The Kings of Summer’ Will Make Moises Arias An Actor To Watch

One of my favorite Sundance Film Festival  movies has gotten a name change and a May 31 release date, and you should see it for a lot of reasons, the primary one being 18-year-old Moises Arias’ breakout performance.  He’s the kid dancing on the pipe in this teaser trailer for The Kings of Summer — previously Toy’s House — and he had me and a lot of other audience members laughing out loud at the Park City screening I saw in January. Arias plays Biaggio, one of three kids who escape their homes and frustrating families for a makeshift house they build from scavenged materials in a secluded forest in their hometown.  He’s not the star of Jordan Vogt-Roberts coming-of-age comedy — he’s actually the extremely odd classmate who invites himself along for the adventure — but he gets a lot of the best laughs. That has a lot to do with Arias’memorable face and his deer-in-the-headlights stare, which he uses to great advantage. I hope we’re going to be seeing a lot more of this kid, who’s also playing Bonzo in one of the fall’s hotly anticipated films, Gavin Hood’s adaptation of Orson Scott Card’s Hugo Award-winning science-fiction novel,  Ender’s Game .
