Ho Sit Down: Detroit Lions’ Bad Boy Ndamukong Suh Suspended 2 Games For Stomping On A Player Thanksgiving Day!

He bought this one, hope he kept his receipt… Ndamukong Suh(notes), the Detroit Lions defensive leader who was ejected from the team’s Thanksgiving game for stomping on the shoulder of a defenseless opponent, was suspended for two games without pay by the NFL on Tuesday. Should he begin serving the suspension immediately, Suh would miss a road game against the New Orleans Saints and a home game versus the Minnesota Vikings. Jay Glazer reports Suh will not have to attend anger management courses as part of the suspension. He is expected to be fined an additional $50,000 by the Lions for being ejected from a game. As Yahoo! Sports’ Dan Wetzel notes, Suh’s absence shouldn’t have too much effect on the team’s playoff chances should he choose to begin serving the suspension this week. The first game against the Saints was already penciled in as a loss, with or without Suh. The Vikings game should be an easy win even if Suh isn’t on the field. It’s the Dec. 18 game in Oakland, the Christmas Eve game against the Chargers and the Week 17 game against a Packers team that may be playing for an undefeated season or could be resting starters for the playoffs that will decide Detroit’s playoff chances. That’s when the team needs him on the field. The two-game suspension fits in line with expectations and is the proper ban for Suh’s dirty maneuvers. Pushing the helmet and stepping on the arm of Evan Dietrich-Smith(notes) wasn’t as egregious as Albert Haynesworth(notes) stepping on the head of Andre Gurode(notes), a move which earned Haynesworth a five-game suspension in 2006. But given Suh’s past fines ($42,500 in his young career) and lawless on-field attitude, it sends the proper message. Much was made of Suh’s comments after the game in which he claimed he was misunderstood, his subsequent retreat from that stance and the call he made three days after the incident to Roger Goodell. I doubt they played as much a role in the suspension as some believe. This isn’t the NBA, where contrition can lead to leniency and defiance to long suspensions (right, Gilbert Arenas?). Goodell sanctions players, coaches and owners for the deeds they do, not what they say about them. Suh deserved his two games and should be thankful its all he got. Do you think that this suspension fair or to harsh?? Source More On Bossip! Demi Lovato: Behind Her World Series National Anthem

We follow the singer as she returns to her hometown to sing the ‘Star-Spangled Banner’ and cheer the Texas Rangers to victory. By Matt Harper Demi Lovato sings the National Anthem prior to Game 5 of the 2011 World Series Photo: MLB/Getty Fifteen minutes before taking the field to sing the national anthem near her hometown of Dallas at Game 5 of the World Series, Demi Lovato admitted to MTV News just how nervous she was. “I feel like I’m about to jump out of a plane,” the young star confided nervously after warming up her vocals in a back room deep in the heart of Arlington, Texas’ Rangers Ballpark. “Although this is a lot safer.” MTV News got the opportunity to spend the day with Demi as she prepped for the big moment. Minutes before stepping out in front of 51,000 people, she was cracking jokes, but it was plain to see that she was nervous — extremely excited, but definitely nervous. Just seventeen minutes later, and Demi’s smile said everything you needed to know about how her performance went. Standing on the field watching the 19-year-old belt out the notoriously difficult song, it was hard not to get swept up in the emotion of it all. Even before the end of the anthem, hitting a particularly difficult note in stride, the crowd erupted in premature cheering. As fireworks erupted and the crowd stood cheering, Demi left the field smiling. As we walked through the back hallways of the stadium, we were stopped every few feet by fans, athletes and MLB officials telling Demi how amazing she had done. After posing for photos with a few fans, Demi was approached by Dodgers center fielder Matt Kemp, who had also just left the field after being given the 2011 Hank Aaron Award as the most outstanding offensive player in the National League. Kemp took a moment to congratulate Demi and ask for a picture with her. Finally back in the green room, Demi was able to stop and think back on the whirlwind 20 minutes. Her family and friends were all there to support her, and they gushed about seeing the performance on TV and how clearly moved the players and fans were. In the company of her support circle, Demi was able to relax and laugh and let the nervous energy of the day roll away. All that was left was to sit back and spend time with the people that she cared about the most — and cheer on the Rangers, of course. We all traveled to our seats to watch the World Series game, and Demi sat in-between her aunt and one of her childhood friends, with other relatives and close friends flanking her on either side. For the next few hours, Demi got to watch the exciting game like the rest of the 50,999 fans in the stadium, eating popcorn and standing up to cheer as the Texas Rangers’ Mike Napoli got the final out of the game to seal Texas’ 4-2 win over the St-Louis Cardinals. A perfect end to a long and exciting day for Demi Lovato. How did Demi do on the anthem? Let us know in the comments! Related Videos MTV News Extended Play: Demi Lovato Related Artists Demi Lovato

On September 5th 2010 Justin came to the State Fair near where I…

On September 5th 2010 Justin came to the State Fair near where I live. Mallory and Carlee, 2 of my cousins, came all the was from PA just to see him in concert with me! This was an outside concert and standing only. You had to wake up and camp out SUPER early to get colored wristbands. The colors had times and locations on them, this was when you were allowed into the concert area. The earlier you got in line, the earlier you got to get in, the closer you are to the stage. We woke up REALLY early the day of the concert to get in line, but when we got there, the line was already so long. We we’re so upset because we thought we would be at the very back of the concert crowd. We waited in line for hours. We got purple bands meaning we would be far. This all happened at 10am and we were awake since 5am. At 11:11am, I told my two cousins to “make a wish!” Of course we all wished for the same, most logical thing! TO MEET JUSTIN BIEBER!  We got back to the fair, and there was  NO  parking. We knew we had to meet in a certain location according to our bands so I went up to this security guy and said, “Where do the purple bands go?” he said “Right here!” so we followed a few people right onto the field and stood in this line. We thought everything was right. Then this guy came out and said, ”Ok, we are taking the pictures & JUSTIN is not signing Autographs! You do not need markers out!” The 3 of us looked at each other & screamed! WHAT DID HE JUST SAY!? Thats right! We were accidentally put in the meet & greet line because meet & greet people had purple bands too, just not the same writing on them. We turned the corner and there he was! We got our picture with him and I was the last of our group to leave so I asked him for hug (he was sick and not supposed to hug) but he said YES! The good luck didn’t end there, since the meet & greet was on the field we got to get our places to stand! So instead of the very back we got front row! THANK YOU JUSTIN BIEBER & the guy that told us the wrong place.  Love, The 3 cousins:  Kacie, Mallory & Carlee Read more from the original source: On September 5th 2010 Justin came to the State Fair near where I…
