On Monday night, President Donald Trump shook hands with Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un, as the heads of these countries met for the first time ever in an attempt to negotiate a nuclear arms treaty. But ABC viewers didn't care! Becca Kufrin was playing football with her suitors and trying to determine who deserved an all-important rose! Indeed, the network broke into The Bachelorette more than halfway through its latest installment in order to cover the aforementioned history meeting… much to the chagrin and extreme anger of many viewers. Who cares about the fate of the free world when we aren't certain yet of Jordan's fate on Season 14?!? Scroll down to read through the funniest Tweets in response to this very rude interruption: 1. It Was Quite the Episode! Two men went to the hospital! One man confronted his ex-girlfriend! Becca had very difficult decisions to make! You can read our recap HERE . 2. I’m Getting Mildly Upset! This person had an admittedly “mild” response to the interrupting. But he appeared to be in the minority, as you’re about to find out. 3. Who Does ABC Think It Is?!? A network in charge of its own programming and trying to bring as much important information to viewers as possible?!? Come on. 4. Trump, Schlump! Can we please return to male model Jordan and all his hilariously ridiculous quotes? I watch TV to get away from the President, thank you very much! 5. It Was Just a Handshake! What about Becca actually getting to first base with her suitors? At minimum! 6. So… Much… Drama Some viewers at least recognized the drama between parties involved, even if there was no rose to be handed out at the end of this meeting. View Slideshow
Were it not for the seminal (tee-hee) cinematic masterpiece known as the Kim Kardashian sex tape , there would be no Kardashian media empire to speak of. A decade after the film's release, however, Kim is no longer the most bankable member of America's second-most famous family of fame-obsessed egomaniacs. Yes, proving once again that the Kard clan has far more staying power than its harshest critics feared, the younger sisters of Kourtney, Kim, and Khloe are raking in bank and showing no signs of slowing down. And as if that weren't enough, now a whole new generation of Kardashian-Jenner offspring has caught the attention of millions of social media users. Will all that clout translate to future earnings? Tough to say, but here's who's at the top of the Kardashian money heap as of right now: 1. Kendall Jenner: Estimated Net Worth, 18 Million (and Rising) As Steve Harvey reminded us, during the Kard clan’s recent appearance on Family Feud, Kendall was the highest paid model in the world in 2017. But walking the runway doesn’t pay what it used to. 2. A Financial Plan of Attack But even though she’s currently the lowest-earning among her sisters, those who analyze this sort of thing closely say Kendall might be the most financially savvy. 3. Branching Out The biggest money may be in reality TV and social media influencing, but Kendall is looking at the big picture and refusing to put all her eggs in one basket. Will it pay off? Well, whatever happens, she’s not dependent on the E! Network and Instagram for her cashflow. 4. Kourtney Kardashian: Estimated Net Worth, 35 Million Yes, the mother of three is worth almost twice as much as Kendall. Her work might not be as high-profile, but those who know Kourtney best say she stays on her grind 24/7. 5. The Family Business Kourtney’s earnings come primarily from her work on Keeping Up With the Kardashians (she’s an executive producer, as well as one of the show’s stars) and her social media endorsement deals with brands like Lyfe Tea. 6. Fun Fact: Kourtney was actually the first member of the family to make a foray into reality TV. In 2005, she starred in a single season of the season of show Filthy Rich: Cattle Drive, in which heirs and heiresses were made to work as ranch hands. And you thought you knew everything about the Kards! View Slideshow
R oseanne Barr is still in a media firestorm after comparing Obama adviser Valerie Jarrett to an ape. If you were living under a rock, earlier this week she wrote that Jarrett equals “muslim brotherhood & planets of the apes had a baby.” Undoubtedly deplorable and impossible to defend. Even Republican Meghan McCain said Barr’s tweet was textbook racism — and McCain is always defending Trump supporters, she has even criticized NFL players for kneeling. However, McCain is in the minority because Fox News has been on a pro-Roseanne rant for days. Sunken place empress Harris Faulkner chalked it up to free speech. But the latest comment from a Black conservative has got to be one of the dumbest analogies on the planet. See Also: 20 Tweets Dragging Roseanne Barr To A White Privilege Hell Trump worshiper Oliver McGee , who once worked for the Clinton administration and is now a Black Republican, had the audacity to defend Roseanne comparing Jarrett to an ape and the “Muslim brotherhood” because Black Panther has a character called Man-Ape. Huh? See the ridiculousness below: There is a BLACK character in the movie #BlackPanther named ‘Man-Ape.’ Man-Ape is the leader of the Gorilla tribe. The gorilla tribe is played by all BLACKS. Every liberal that is calling for @therealroseanne ’s head LOVED & RAVED about Black Panther. Stop the selective outrage. — Oliver McGee PhD MBA (@OliverMcGee) May 30, 2018 There was no character in the movie called Man-Ape. M’Baku, played by Winston Duke, was the character of Man-Ape from the comic book series — a character that first appeared in the Marvel comic book series in 1969. As Entertainment Weekly reported, the creators of Black Panther , which was written and directed by a Black man, did not want to use the term Man-Ape from 1969. Why? Because they were smart enough to know it would be offensive today. Executive producer of Black Panther Nate Moore said, “We don’t call him Man-Ape. We do call him M’Baku. Having a Black character dress up as an ape, I think there’s a lot of racial implications that don’t sit well, if done wrong.” Therefore, McGee lied about a character being called Man-Ape in the film, that name was never uttered in the 134 minutes running time. But many Black Republicans, like Diamond and Silk and Paris Dennard , will say anything to defend Trump supporters. McGee also wants you to know that “as a Black man” he stands by Roseanne: I’m a black man and I stand with @therealroseanne ! Yes, she made a horrible joke and she apologized. I see comedians, actors, etc make the same jokes and get applauded for it. This is outrageous. — Oliver McGee PhD MBA (@OliverMcGee) May 29, 2018 Lastly, Roseanne’s comments aren’t about liberals or conservatives — it’s about racism. If a Black man like McGee, who once worked at Howard University and regardless of his political affiliations, can’t see the clear and present racism, then his anti-Blackness is at the bottom of the sunken place. Wake up, bruh. SEE ALSO: Racist New York City Lawyer Aaron M. Source: FRANCOIS GUILLOT / Getty If you haven’t heard of Boston Dynamics (BD) by now, you better wake up and smell the coffee. The company behind some of the most jaw-dropping technology is paving the way for robots, and soon humans will have to decide our place as a, shall I say, less inclined species. Just yesterday BD released a video of their robot Atlas having a nice jog on a lovely spring morning. Oh, and just in case you missed it, Atlas can do backflips too. Can you do a backflip??? Along with all the human-like motor functions robots are gaining, top that with artificial intelligence like Siri and human facial expressions like Sophia the robot, and you basically have your next jogging buddy. Don’t act like Siri isn’t already mastering the art of shade and clapbacks. Soon, robots will become so sophisticated they’ll have their own culture, complete with music and hot new dance trends. Terms like “doing the robot” will be seen as cultural appropriation, and the bots will pump out their own leaders with Patagonia vests and Twitter hashtags. And for all the “bad seeds” in the bunch, an all out war could pop off complete with “Autobots” and transformer cars . But maybe I’m getting a little too ahead of myself. They could just be trying to live their life. Only time will tell. But for whatever’s coming, one thing is for certain… You better be ready.
Ben Falcone and Melissa McCarthy (Paras Griffin/Getty Images for Warner Bros.) BOSSIP Exclusive… Cast Of “Life Of The Party” Talks New Film” Melissa McCarthy was truly the “life of the party” this week during the world premiere screening of her film in Auburn, Alabama. “Life Of The Party” stars the funny woman as middle-aged mom Deanna whose midlife crisis turns into college matriculation coincidentally at exactly the same time and EXACT SAME COLLEGE as her daughter Maddie. (Molly Gordon) The slapstick comedy directed by McCarthy’s husband Ben Falcone also stars Maya Rudolph as Melissa’s braggadocious (constant husband humping) BFF, “Modern Family’s” Julie Bowen, Matt Walsh and actor Stephen Root who told BOSSIP that the undeniable “life of the party” on set was Melissa McCarthy herself. Paras Griffin/Getty Images for Warner Bros. “Believe it or not it was Melissa,” said Root who plays Melissa’s overprotective, slightly senile dad in the film. “Friday night when we didn’t have to work Saturday, we’d go to her trailer and party over there, that would be Melissa [who had the club in her trailer]. He also told us that he if had the opportunity to return back to college like Deanna, he’d be hesitant to take it because acting is his passion. “I love what I do, I’ve been doing it since ’76 but if I went back I think I’d probably pursue a double [major] in photography.” As for Gillian Jacobs (“Don’t Think Twice,” “Love,” “Community”) who plays a very special sorority girl named Helen in the film, she’d go back to college like Deanna and study ANYTHING but acting. “I’d go to a place where I could actually study something academic, I went to a Performing Arts College so I really missed being in a lecture class and learning about something different than acting, I’d love to study something other than acting.” Paras Griffin/Getty Images for Warner Bros. Other stars on the carpet included Jimmy O. Yang who plays Maddie’s boyfriend in the film and told BOSSIP that he “couldn’t imagine going to college with his girlfriend’s mother” and panty melter Luke Benward who told us that he plays a very special frat-boy named Jack who has a unique relationship with Deanna. You’ll have to go see the film to see exactly what we mean… Paras Griffin/Getty Images for Warner Bros. Will YOU be going to see “Life Of The Party” when it hits theaters May 11??? More on the flip.
