Meghan Markle’s Brother Lashes Out: She Abandoned Her Family!

We’re just over three months away from the wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle . As expected, royal obsessives the world over are already giddy with anticipation. Sadly, just as unsurprising is the fact that opportunists and con artists are coming out of the wood work hoping to exploit Meghan in her remaining days as a civilian. And some of them are members of her immediate family. It all started when Meghan’s half-sister, Samantha Grant , threatened to publish a tell-all. Amazingly, it looks like she managed to land a publisher, but it sounds like the book won’t be loaded with the bombshell revelations the public is hoping for. Meghan and Samantha reportedly haven’t had any contact with one in well over a decade, and sources say they weren’t close with one another for several years before that. So unless you’re hankering for some insights into Meg’s high school study habits, the book probably won’t do much for you. Just last month, the sketchy sibling started going by Samantha Markle and managed to score a deal with TLC to produce a special about Meghan . And now it seems she’s not the only member of the Markle clan who’s looking to line their pockets. Apparently, Meghan also has a half-brother named Tom Markle Jr. In addition to having a name that sounds like an anagram for a Harry Potter villain, Tom is apparently even more shady than Samantha. Rather than threatening to share Meghan’s secrets with the world, he took the more direct route of asking Meg for money for a personal security detail, and then publicly calling her out for abandoning her family when she refused. In a recent interview with In Touch , Tommy Marks shared the contents of the email he received from Meghan’s lawyers that basically told him to go do his panhandling elsewhere. “My lawyer had a phone meeting with her lawyer, and he emailed me some of [Meghan’s] direct words. She said, ‘That’s distant family and I don’t know those people,'” Tom told the tabloid. “That’s pretty harsh,” he adds calling the email “a slap in the face” and “below the belt.” “I spent a lot of time with her growing up,” Tom says. In the emails, Tom asks Meghan and Buckingham Palace officials to “take some action to protect [him],” which apparently meant not only security services but protection from what he claims are inaccurate media reports. “There was a time where people were following me around at work, taking pictures and posting horrible stories about me and my family saying I’m a white supremacist, a drug addict and a dealer, all this crap that just isn’t true,” Tom tells In Touch . “My attorney was reaching out to her people and the palace to basically [help us] try to get a retraction for all these false stories in [countries] where there are different laws.”  Reps for Harry were apparently more polite than Meghan’s lawyers, telling Tom, “We are so sorry to hear you have been having a tough time with the media.” Of course, they still didn’t offer him any sort of assistance with the problem. We’re assuming Meghan is currently being trained in how to tell someone to shove off using proper royal decorum. View Slideshow: Meghan Markle: The Raciest Pics of Prince Harry’s Bride-To-Be

Jill Messick, Ex-Rose McGowan Manager, Kills Herself; Family Blames Media and Harvey Weinstein

Horrible news out of Hollywood this week: Jill Messick, a former Miramax producer who once managed actress Rose McGowan, committed suicide suicide on Wednesday, her family has confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter. She was 50 years old. This is terribly sad – but it may have gone largely unnoticed by the mainstream press if Messick’s family had not released a pointed statement in response to the tragedy. Released by Messick’s loved ones to The Hollywood Reporter, the statement places the blame for this suicide on Harvey Weinstein… McGowan herself… and members of the press for how they covered the #MeToo movement . Weinstein, of course, is the former head of Miramax who has been accused of sexual assault by dozens of women. McGowan has claimed for years that she is one of these women, while she’s now a leading voice for the #MeToo movement, which seeks to empower victims of rape and misconduct. Messick, meanwhile, represented McGowan in 1997, at the time she says she was raped by Weinstein. The late producer/manager later took an executive position at Miramax, then led by Weinstein. “Jill was victimized by our new culture of unlimited information sharing and a willingness to accept statement as fact,” reads the emotional statement. “She became collateral damage in an already horrific story.” The full statement, which is available at The Hollywood Reporter , goes on to say that Messick was devastated after the film mogul’s attorney released an email in which Messick defended Weinstein. “The speed of disseminating information has carried mistruths about Jill as a person, which she was unable and unwilling to challenge,” it says. Messick’s relatives acknowledge that McGown told her about an incident with Weinstein… … but they insist that Messick “stood up on Rose’s behalf” and “alerted her bosses to the horrific experience which Rose suffered.” Continues the statement: “She opted not to add to the feeding frenzy, allowing her name and her reputation to be sullied despite having done nothing wrong. “She never chose to be a public figure; that choice was taken away from her.” The family also mentions that Messick was diagnosed with bipolar disorder. After discussing with Messick and her management team what transpired with Weinstein, McGown is on record as saying she did not feel much support. In their message to the public on Thursday, Messick’s loved ones criticized journalists for publishing the aforementioned correspondence between Messick and Weinstein. “We must take a moment to consider the ramifications and consequences of what we say and what we do,” the family’s statement reads, concluding: “Words matter. Someone’s life may depend on it.” McGowan, for her part, has been on a mission to reveal the truth about Weinstein, the culture in Hollywood and everything else related to this ongoing sexual harassment scandal in entertainment. It has thus far ended the careers of such A-Listers as Matt Lauer, Kevin Spacey and Louis C.K., among MANY others. Weinstein’s attorney, Ben Brafman, previously responded to McGowan’s allegations in a statement to People Magazine that reads: “Mr. Weinstein denies Rose McGowan’s allegations of non-consensual sexual contact and it is erroneous and irresponsible to conflate claims of inappropriate behavior and consensual sexual contact later regretted, with an untrue claim of rape.” His spokesperson also has said that McGowan “chose to demand money” from the producer and worked and appeared with him later in her career. On January 30, Weinstein’s lawyers released an email in which Messick said McGowan had told her she got into a hot tub with Weinstein “consensually” yet “regretted” it. Her family here says the document was released without Messick’s consent. “Harvey’s desperate attempt to vindicate himself, was devastating for her. It broke Jill.” May Jill Messick rest in peace. Nice Try! Facebook Shuts Down Maladroit Mayo Group Planning To Tank ‘Black Panther’s’ Rotten Tomatoes Score

Han Myung-Gu/Getty Images for Disney Facebook Group Planning To Sabotage Black Panther Ratings Shut Down A Facebook group started by an alt-right member planning to sabotage “Black Panther” with negative reviews has been shut down. Last week news spread that the maladroit mayo in the Down-With-Disneys-Treatment-of-Franchises-and-its-Fanboys group declared that they’d flood Rotten Tomatoes with low scores for the film. Over 3,000 people agreed to participate. Unfortunately for the desperate deplorables, Facebook’s shut them down because they “violated community standards.” Rotten Tomatoes has also spoken out and added that they don’t support the hate speech the rancid racists were spewing and if they try to downplay the film, they’ll be blocked. “We at Rotten Tomatoes are proud to have become a platform for passionate fans to debate and discuss entertainment, and we take that responsibility seriously,” wrote RT in a statement. “While we respect our fans’ diverse opinions, we do not condone hate speech. Our team of security, network and social experts continue to closely monitor our platforms, and any users who engage in such activities will be blocked from our site and their comments removed as quickly as possible.” The film’s director Ryan Coogler previously shook off criticism from the Facebook group and classily said he wants everyone to feel included no matter their politcal views. “For me, I’m looking forward to everybody seeing the film,” Coogler said to  The Huffington Post . “I’m really looking forward to sharing the film with audiences regardless of what their political views are … that’s kind of where I [stand on that].” He’s a much kinder person than us. Mo’Nique “Exposes” Jawn Murray By Leaking Lengthy Email Exchange Between Her Husband And Producer Will Packer

Mo’Nique Fires Back At Jawn Murray With Email Transcripts Remember last week when entertainment reporter Jawn Murray read aloud an e-mail from Producer Will Packer to Mo’Nique’s manager/husband Sidney Hicks? In the letter, Packer essentially read Sidney down, essentially calling him unprofessional and a con-artist attempting to shake down production and marketing in “Almost Christmas” for more cash while Mo’Nique and he were rude and nasty to anyone in their orbit. Well now, Mo’Nique is firing back, posting the full e-mails and stating that the full exchange would reveal the “true, behind the scenes view” of what really happened. Although, Sidney’s lengthy, somewhat meandering response didn’t seem to address or refute much of what Packer said — just a lot of insinuation that Packer was smashing his assistant on the film and many paragraphs about how incredulous he was at Packer’s audacity to say the things he said in his original e-mail. Settle in for this one. Don’t forget to swipe… YIKES. It was a lot to take in…do you feel that seeing Sidney and Mo’Nique’s side of the story clears things up and vindicates them from the “image assassination” they’ve been going through ? If You Care: Whitesplainin’ Becky Bo Derek Butted Into Dead Horse Hair Beef Over Kim K Kornrows

SplashNews/Bettmann/Getty Images Bo Derek Backs Up Kim Kardashian Over Appropriation Braids Yeah, so once again African women got zero apologies or acknowledgment about another episode of culture vulturing by Kim Kardashian but in case you missed it, BO DEREK HERSELF stepped up to say that yes, Kim really was channeling her look from the movie “10,” but at the end of the day they’re all copying the ancient Egyptian Queen Nofertari. Do you think Bo did a good cleanup job or was she just kicking a dead horse at this point? Also, do you think that it’s disrespectful that she acknowledges an Egyptian Queen but not the African culture and African-American trend that was thriving at the time of the making of her film?
