Megan Fox, Betty White Face Off For MTV Movie Awards’ Best WTF Moment

Bill Murray, Ken Jeong and Isabel Lucas are also in the running. By Kara Warner The requirements for the MTV Movie Awards ‘ Best WTF Moment may be difficult to define, but they sure are fun to watch. Whether a flash of male genitalia, a pretty girl spewing black vomit or a cute old lady feeling up her soon-to-be in-law, this year’s nominees had moviegoers scratching their heads, turning away in disgust or laughing out loud — all fitting reactions to true WTF moments. And if last year’s winner, Amy Poehler in “Baby Mama” for “peeing in the sink,” is any indication for who will take home the Golden Popcorn this Sunday, MTV viewers judge WTF to mean unbelievable. Betty White in “The Proposal” Betty White is so hot right now, she’s going to be hard to beat … even if the scene for which she was nominated features White feeling up Sandra Bullock during a wedding-dress fitting. If it had been anyone but the former Golden Girl, it could have been pretty awkward! White stole nearly every scene in the Bullock/ Ryan Reynolds rom-com. Bill Murray in “Zombieland” Spoiler alert for those who still haven’t seen the film! The original Ghostbuster makes a surprise cameo so good, it was the highlight of the entire film. In the action/comedy, in which humans are trying to survive a Zombie takeover, Murray (who plays himself) gets the shock of his life when a group of survivors break into his house. Isabel Lucas in “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen” Kissing scenes in movies normally go for the “sexy” or “sweet.” Isabel Lucas’ makeout with Shia LaBeouf in the blockbuster “Transformers” sequel was anything but. Particularly when her tongue was revealed to be more lizard than human, and she went in for the kill. Literally. Ken Jeong in “The Hangover” “The Hangover” was undoubtedly last summer’s shiny cinematic gem of comedic brilliance. However, the moment when Ken Jeong’s flamboyant and feisty Mr. Chow pops out of a trunk and lands on Bradley Cooper’s face — stark naked — was way more WTF than laugh-out-loud. Megan Fox in “Jennifer’s Body” She may be one of the hottest women on the planet, but in “Jennifer’s Body,” moviegoers saw an unexpected side of Fox. Particularly during the scene in which Fox’s character is newly demonized and shown shoving food down her face. That was gross enough, until she started projectile-vomiting a stream of nasty black liquid. Which WTF Moment are you rooting for? Tell us in the comments! Don’t miss the 2010 MTV Movie Awards , airing live from Los Angeles this Sunday, June 6, at 9 p.m. ET/PT. REVIEW: A Bogeyman Gets His Close-Up in Cropsey

“What do you have to say to the Staten Island community?” a reporter asks accused child murderer Andre Rand about halfway through Cropsey, an absorbing and openly personal look at the function and dysfunction of local legends. “They’re the perpetrators of a fraud,” Rand replies, before ducking into the armored van that will take him back to Rikers Island. They are the first words he speaks in the film — a menacing voicemail is his only follow-up — and they resonate throughout the rest of a documentary that gets a little lost within its own agenda of separating “the facts from the folklore.”

Kristen Stewart Leads Best Female Performance Nominees At MTV Movie Awards

Sandra Bullock, Zoe Saldana, Amanda Seyfried and Emma Watson face off against the ‘New Moon’ star on Sunday, June 6. By Kara Warner Kristen Stewart in “Twilight: New Moon” Photo: Kimberley French/Summit Entertainment A far cry from the old “Sugar and spice and everything nice” adage, there’s something to be said for strong women, and this year’s Best Female Performance category at the MTV Movie Awards is packed with them. Despite their diverse backgrounds — from otherworldly Pandora and Hogwarts to the small town of Forks, Washington — the one thing all five nominees have in common is their strength. Here’s a look at the five contenders in the Best Female Performance category who will face off Sunday, June 6, at 9 p.m. ET/PT on MTV: Amanda Seyfried, “Dear John” In this have-tissues-handy tearjerker, Seyfried is Savannah, an idealistic college student on spring break, who meets and quickly falls in love with John Tyree (Channing Tatum), a soldier on leave from the Army Special Forces. Their romance and eventual long-distance courtship through correspondence is the stuff from fairy tales. And Seyfried plays the perfect princess. Emma Watson, “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince” Moviegoers and “Potter” fans alike have watched the college freshman grow up onscreen. In the sixth installment of the hugely popular franchise, Watson is as bewitching as ever. In “Half-Blood Prince,” Hermione must confront the death of a dear friend and unrequited love. Watson’s transition from bossy schoolgirl to brazen young woman is a seamless one. Kristen Stewart, “The Twilight Saga: New Moon” Kristen Stewart doesn’t have legions of obsessive, die-hard fans for nothing. Her endearingly clumsy-yet-steadfast portrayal of Bella is so spot-on, fans have convinced themselves that Stewart is her character and that she and her onscreen star-crossed love interest, Robert Pattinson (Edward), are a couple in real life. Sandra Bullock, “The Blind Side” If it were any other awards show, an argument could be made that competing against an Academy Award winner isn’t quite fair — especially one who was perfectly cast as the fiery Leigh Anne Tuohy, a character based on the inspirational real-life mom who takes in a teenager, Michael, from foster care and raises him to be a part of her family. Zoe Saldana, “Avatar” When images and trailers started surfacing before the momentous release of “Avatar,” there were grumblings about “those blue people” and the actors who played them. Not so after the movie opened. Moviegoers were blown away and completely transported to a new world of filmmaking. Zoe Saldana’s performance as Neytiri, a woman who stands by her people, planet and man, embodies every letter of the phrase “strong woman” and is absolutely deserving of the Best Female title. Who is your pick for Best Female Performance? Sound off in the comments! Don’t miss the 2010 MTV Movie Awards , airing live from Los Angeles on Sunday, June 6, at 9 p.m. Related Videos MTV Rough Cut: Kristen Stewart

Scott Pilgrim Wants Some Friends

Whether Scott Pilgrim vs. The World winds up being a sleeper hit this August or not, one thing is abundantly clear: The core audience of geeks is jacked for this movie in the same way a pack of girls wearing Jimmy Choo shoes are for Sex and the City 2 . The latest bit of proof for that comes from Facebook , where director Edgar Wright has promised to release a new trailer for the film once it gets 100,000 fans. And while that might not seem like a lot, bear in mind that Knight and Day has under 5,000. Since the first trailer was so good , do everyone a favor and head over there, Facebook privacy issues be damned! [Facebook via Ain’t It Cool ]

Dennis Hopper: A True Hollywood Original

Actor had so many diverse roles — from ‘Rebel Without a Cause’ to ‘Easy Rider’ to ‘Blue Velvet’ — that none is truly definitive. By Adam Rosenberg with Jem Aswad Dennis Hopper Photo: Evan Agostini/ImageDirect In Hollywood history, a mere handful of stars have had careers that reached the peaks, the depths, the diversity and the longevity of Dennis Hopper’s. The legendary — and legendarily rebellious — actor died of prostate cancer early Saturday (May 29) at the age of 74. Indeed, Hopper’s signature roles were so different from each other — and so widely separated by years over his nearly six-decade-long career — that it’s difficult to choose one as definitive. Some might single out the teen who appeared with James Dean in 1955’s “Rebel Without A Cause.” Others recall the nitrous-oxide-huffing psychopath Frank Booth, villain of David Lynch’s classic 1986 thriller, “Blue Velvet.” Hopper played another memorable villain (who meets a memorable end) in 1994’s “Speed.” Yet he will probably be remembered best for “Easy Rider,” the 1969 counterculture touchstone that he co-wrote, directed and starred in, as the scruffy, motorcycle-riding drug dealer Billy. The young Hopper made his debut in a pair of James Dean films, “Rebel” and “Giant” (1956). The 24-year-old Dean and 18-year-old Hopper became friends, and the older actor’s sudden death in 1955 shook Hopper to the point that he staged a days-long, one-man revolt on the set of Henry Hathaway’s “From Hell to Texas.” Hopper went on to have notable appearances in “Cool Hand Luke” (1967) as well as “The Sons of Katie Elder” (1965) and “True Grit” (1969), both of which starred John Wayne. Yet the success of “Easy Rider,” in which he starred with Peter Fonda and a young Jack Nicholson, took him on a sharp upward turn, as the film raked in enormous profits and reinvented Hopper’s career. It was a success he quickly squandered with the disastrous follow-up, 1971’s “The Last Movie,” which so fraught with trouble, substance abuse and erratic behavior that Hopper was effectively blackballed from the movie industry in the years that followed. He did appear in a number of films over the ensuing years — “Mad Dog Morgan” (1976), “Tracks” (1977) and most memorably Francis Ford Coppola’s “Apocalypse Now,” channeling his trademark manic energy into a wild portrayal of a frazzled Vietnam-stationed photojournalist. While he continued to struggle with substance abuse, his acting career revived with acclaimed performances in “Out of the Blue” (1980 — which he also directed), “Rumble Fish” (1983) and “The Osterman Weekend” (1983) — and he was re-established as a major star with his leading role in Lynch’s “Blue Velvet” (1986); he became sober at around the same time. In 1986 he also starred with Gene Hackman in David Anspaugh’s “Hoosiers,” a performance that earned him a Best Supporting Actor Academy Award nomination. Hopper continued to turn in memorable performances and features for the remainder of his career. He was the villainous mad bomber in the blockbuster “Speed” (1994), also starring Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock. He directed 1988’s “Colors” and received an Emmy nomination for his performance in HBO Films’ “Paris Trout” (1991). Equally memorable are two of his more panned roles, in campy cult classics “Super Mario Bros.” (1993) and “Waterworld” (1995). Hopper’s most recent film appearance was in Isabel Coixet’s 2008 film “Elegy,” with Sir Ben Kingsley, Penelope Cruz and Debbie Harry, although his voice will be heard in the animated “Alpha and Omega,” which comes out in September. Hopper also put in a significant amount of time on television, with more than 100 appearances on a diverse range of programs, including “Gunsmoke,” “Bonanza,” “The Twilight Zone,” “The Big Valley,” “The Rifleman,” “Combat!,” “E-Ring,” “Crash,” “24” and, most recently, as himself on HBO’s “Entourage.” A legendary actor and an unforgettable character, Dennis Hopper was perhaps above all a true Hollywood original. 3OH!3 And Ke$ha’s ‘First Kiss’: The Summer Jam Of 2010?

If it’s not the song of the summer, it’s still a bona fide party starter. By Kyle Anderson 3OH!3 and Ke$ha’s ‘First Kiss’ Photo: Photo Finish Records In one corner, we have Denver post-electro duo 3OH!3, whose chant-along choruses have made them favorites of hard-partyers everywhere. In the opposite corner stands Ke$ha, a star whose debut album Animal continues to wreck the Billboard charts on the back of killer singles like “Tik Tok” and the recently released “Your Love Is My Drug.” With so much melody and dance-friendly music packed into one song, their collaboration would have to be the winner of the 2010 Summer Songs Sweepstakes , right? It’s quite possible. The three already collaborated on a hit (“Blah Blah Blah,” which appeared on Ke$ha’s album), and their latest hookup is another chant-along jam called “First Kiss,” which celebrates the thrill of the titular rite of passage on the strength of a pulse-pounding beat and a chorus you can shout along to (not unlike Avril Lavigne’s “Girlfriend,” a summer-jam contender in 2007 ). Of course, the summer-friendly lyrical content doesn’t hurt. “That’s a really summery topic,” said Leah Greenblatt of Entertainment Weekly. “Everybody has a memory of having a first kiss under a boardwalk or something.” For Ke$ha, it’s all about having a good time — another very summer-centric sentiment. “It’s just fun,” she told MTV News. “The song is fun, and those guys [in 3OH!3] are fun.” With all that positive energy already folded into the song, “First Kiss” should be an automatic winner for the title of Official Summer Jam of 2010, right? It’s a strong entry, but it also faces stiff competition from similarly excellent tunes by Lady Gaga , B.o.B , Usher and Katy Perry . Still, even if “First Kiss” doesn’t emerge as the song that sticks with us through the season’s beach parties and barbecues, 3OH!3 and Ke$ha can be confident they crafted yet another pitch-perfect party starter. Vote for the summer jam of 2010 in the MTV Newsroom now, and stay tuned for more on the hottest songs of the season. Related Videos Who Will Have The Song Of The Summer? ‘Sex And The City 2’ Stars Pick Their Favorite Boyfriends Of All Time

Some of their obscure choices might surprise even hard-core ‘SATC’ fans. By Jocelyn Vena Kristin Davis and Sarah Jessica Parker in “Sex and the City 2” Photo: Warner Bros. Over the years, there have been many memorable men in the lives of the four women on “Sex and the City.” There have been husbands and bad first dates, heartbreakers and one-night stands — and then there are the men who left an impression on the four women who play Carrie, Samantha, Charlotte and Miranda. Cynthia Nixon said now-husband Steve is her choice for Miranda’s best boyfriend of all time. “Of course, David Eigenberg is the favorite boyfriend,” she told MTV News. “But perhaps because he’s my husband, he doesn’t count.” Her next favorite is a fan favorite. “So I would say Dr. Robert. I would say Blair Underwood.” For Kristin Davis, who plays the slightly prudish Charlotte, her top contender had to be Hollywood playboy Wylie Ford, who showed up in season two to bring her along for one fast-paced ride. “Brian Van Holt,” she said, picking the “Cougar Town” actor as her fave. “Do I have to say why?” Leave it to Kim Cattrall to have the wildest choice for her top “SATC” boy toy. We’ll just let her explain. “Bobby Cannavale [in season three]. I thought he was great. I think he’s a good actor, and he was so much fun to play with, and he was up for it,” she dished. “We did the ‘funky sp—‘ episode together, which is a tough one, because it could have gone terribly wrong.” While Aidan and Mr. Big are the fans’ favorites for Carrie’s men, Sarah Jessica Parker opted for politician Bill Kelley from season three. “John Slattery,” she said without missing a beat.
