Late Night Highlights: Liza Minnelli Wants a Role on Glee

Do you know who would really, really like to guest star on Glee ? Broadway legend (and apparently Lady Gaga’s inspiration), Liza Minnelli. At least that is what the icon told Jimmy Fallon last night. Elsewhere, David Letterman mocked Lindsay Lohan, Joel McHale made fun of Craig Ferguson’s newlywed audience members, and Conan O’B rien ate hot wings with Jason Sudeikis before performing a scene from The Social Network .

The rumors are true ! After much talk and speculation, it has been confirmed that Baz Luhrmann will be shooting his upcoming remake of The Great Gatsby in 3-D. Filming is set to begin this August in Australia and last for 17 weeks, with the very pretty trio of Leonardo DiCaprio, Carey Mulligan and Tobey Maguire on board. This now-confirmed news means that when Daisy runs over poor Myrtle, it will feel like the car is coming right at you! [ The Playlist ]

Joseph Gordon-Levitt Rocks Out, Natalie Portman Cries In New Clip From Hesher

After the Academy Awards next weekend, Natalie Portman needs a vacation. Girl has been working nonstop, and her upcoming break is well-deserved. This year alone Portman has starred in No Strings Attached and The Other Woman , done nonstop award shows and appearances for Black Swan and she’s got the whole pregnancy gig. Oh, and that Thor flick coming up. And NOW there’s her film Hesher , which will hopefully hit theaters and is already slated to play South-by-Southwest. She may wind up going Nina Sayers crazy if she don’t slow it down.
