George Zimmerman allegedly hurled a wine bottle at his girlfriend’s head last weekend, resulting in the latest in a string of arrests for Trayvon Martin’s killer. Since being acquitted in his murder trial after killing Martin – he claimed self-defense – Zimmerman has run afoul of the law on more than one occasion. He’s been questioned by police in two prior domestic altercations, with his then-wife Shellie Zimmerman, and with then-girlfriend Samantha Scheibe . According to a police report, this alleged domestic incident went down January 5 when Zimmerman and the woman were arguing over one of his paintings. Oh yes, George Zimmerman is a painter now . Law enforcement officials say the girlfriend became upset at him over a work of art that he wanted back, and then George tossed the bottle at her. He missed, hitting his garage door instead. Police questioned Zimmerman about the fight on January 9, at which point he claimed that she threw the bottle . Suffice it to say, cops weren’t buying it. They arrested him for aggravated assault. TMZ reports that the unnamed woman has been dating him for a few months. How seriously? Donna Douglas – the actress best known for her role as Elly May Clampett in The Beverly Hillbillies – passed away today at the age of 81. A native of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Douglas moved to New York City to pursue a career in acting and modeling while still in her teens. It wasn’t until she was 29, however, that Douglas would land the role that made her famous. The Beverly Hillbillies ran for nine seasons on CBS, and Elly May quickly became one of the most beloved television characters of the 1960s. While widely regarded as a “single-role” actor who’s remembered primarily for one part, Douglas never expressed any bitterness about not receiving more opportunities in Hollywood. In fact, even in her final years, she spoke with fondness and pride about her time on the Hillbillies cast: “Elly May was like a slice out of my life,” said Douglas in one of her final interviews. “People love her and they love the Hillbillies. Even to this day, it’s shown every day somewhere.” At the height of her fame, Douglas played one of the title characters in the 1966 film Frankie and Johnny, opposite Elvis Presley. it was her only feature film. In 2010, Douglas was immortalized in collectible form as part of Mattel’s line of “Classic TV” Barbie dolls. Douglas is survived by her son, Danny Bourgeois. 23 Shocking Celebrity Deaths 1. Teen Mom 2 star Adam Lind never stays single for long. Fresh off his latest, and arguably nastiest split, the bad boy of South Dakota is now dating again. His new squeeze, Danielle Nord, is a married mother of two. Surprised!? Adam Lind tells Radar that the two are just “friends.” Insiders aren’t so sure he’s being truthful there. “They’ve been on and off for about a year, when Adam wasn’t with a girlfriend,” one source told the celebrity gossip site of Lind’s new romantic pursuits. “Now they are ‘on’ and taking things slow.” Lind, who fathered a child with Teen Mom 2’s Chelsea Houska , and later Taylor Halbur, posted a cute photo of the two wrapping Christmas presents together. He also professed his love to her via text, writing, “I will always love you Danielle Nicole Anderson,” on December 19, using Nord’s maiden name. Nord is separated from her husband of five years in what could best be described as “a very complicated situation … Danielle is moving toward divorce now.” “She and Adam have something special.” In addition to two daughters by two different baby mamas, Lind is still facing stalking charges after an altercation with his most recent girlfriend Brooke Beaton . The Bachelor star Chris Soules says he is happy to be in love with the woman who wins his final rose, and heart, on the upcoming season of the ABC hit show. Who is that woman? The Bachelor spoilers have that purported info for you, but he’s not kissing and telling for now, other than to humbly gush about the “journey.” With Chris Soules as the leading man, The Bachelor promises to be a little different this season. True to form, the glitz and glamor have been dialed down. “We stayed in the United States for the most part, obviously spending time in Iowa,” host Chris Harrison says. “We really wanted to embrace who this guy. Part of that means showing the aspiring wives “what the girls are going to have to eventually live with” if they pursue such “a hard-working blue collar guy.” “He comes from a very different place,” Harrison says of the fourth-generation farmer from Arlington, Iowa. “Literally and figuratively. That’s what we were all taken by.” Apparently the ladies were quite taken, as well. Soules tells People Magazine that “I was going in completely open-minded and there were so many great girls … the quality of women was pretty amazing.” The 33-year-old wanted to “see how they could handle it” in Iowa and more broadly in situations that are closer to real life than standard fare on The Bachelor . “It’s not really a show for roughing it.
