The Real Housewives of New Jersey Season 9 Episode 2 Recap: Teresa Giudice Reignites Her Feud With Joe & Melissa Gorga

Wednesday’s episode of The Real Housewives of New Jersey reignited the feud between Teresa Giudice and her brother, Joe Gorga, and it looks like we’re in for a season of backstabs between the brother and sister.  If you watch The Real Housewives of New Jersey online , you know the season premiere found Teresa opening up about Joe steering clear of their father in recent months, signaling that things were going south for the family.  “My brother used to be around more when my mom first passed away, and I’m really nervous to say anything to him because when I brought this up in the past, it got ugly,” Teresa explained of the situation in a confessional. “My brother and I have been doing really well for a while now, and I definitely don’t want history to repeat itself. Life is short. I just don’t want my brother to have any regrets.” In true Teresa fashion, she brought it up during a family gathering. Thankfully, she did not throw some tables. She’s learned from her mistakes.  Things started to get heated during the dinner party, with Joe’s father Giacinto yelling about his son not calling him, going as far as saying “F–k you” to him.  “Are you going to be around more for this one? He wants you around more,” she said. “The kid that’s not around the most, that’s the kid you always want.” Melissa who has feuded with Teresa in the past because of her association with her brother took to a confessional to complain about the whole thing.  “Who brings up a super sensitive, going-to-cause-a-problem conversation on Easter Sunday? Especially in front of my father-in-law, who is super upset as it is,” she asked. “This is definitely not the day, the time, the place. Like, your timing sucks.” “Not on Easter,” Melissa added. “This conversation gets my skin crawling because I get instant flashbacks of the pain that Joe went through years ago over conversations that were similar.” “I know my husband. When you push him, and you constantly say the same thing to him over and over again, I know he’s going to explode. Joe is a ticking time bomb. It’s going to happen.” Joe made it clear that he was getting sick of the way Teresa was acting.  “You gotta cut that out,” he snapped at Teresa. “You always bring that up in front of Daddy. ‘Oh you work too much, you’re not around.’ Listen to me, if I was sitting in a bar all day, if I was sitting in restaurants, that’s a different story. But what am I going to do? When you put in 15 hours a day, hard work? I’m exhausted.” “You know my life. You know the business, it’s crazy. I work hardcore, all day, every day, nonstop. Unbelievable stresses,” Joe added. “My business takes all my freakin time. Is he going to pay my bills? No one pays my bills. What am I going to do, just give it all up?” That was not all Teresa had to say, however.  “I’m just saying, he bitches to me all the time,” she complained. “I got to hear him! ‘Your brother don’t call me. It’s been five days.’“ “Since I’ve lost my mom, holidays are more emotional. I’m just trying to make the holiday as best as I can for my dad. I just want to make him happy. He needs that,” Teresa said, addressing the cameras. “Before I went away, I spent a lot of time with my mom. And right now all I can think about is how when I came home, I wished I spent more time with my mom. So it’s frustrating that my brother makes the effort to see my dad just on a holiday.” Teresa’s daughter, Gia, turned to her uncle Joe with her take on what was going on.  “It’s not fair,” said the teenager. “We get it so much from Nonno, you don’t even know. I know you have work, trust me, I know. But if you don’t call him for a day, he says something. … At least just try, in a week, just one designated day for Nonno.” But there was no getting through to Joe who maintained that he was a busy man.  “I don’t give a s—,” yelled Teresa. “You have to make time. In life, that’s how it is. Capeesh?” While the fighting simmered down and everyone enjoyed the rest of the day, Joe confirmed in a confessional that he was mad at his sister.  “Teresa was always like this when we were kids,” Joe admitted. “When it came to me, she would rat me out. Why are you still doing this? It’s going to cause a big problem again, which we don’t need.” As if that wasn’t enough drama, Margaret informed Danielle that she was going to an event hosted by Dolores and things got a little bit crazy.  “She invited me to this thing–,” said Margaret BUT Danielle butted in.  “And you coulda said, ‘No, I’m not coming because that will make Danielle very upset and very hurt. It’ll hurt her!’ Because you coulda said, ‘This would hurt me if the tables were turned.’ You coulda said anything but, ‘Yes, I’ll come.'” As Margaret tried to calm Danielle down, the former main cast member decided to storm off, but she came back with a parting shot: “What is it that you two really have in common? You cheated on your husband, and she got cheated on?” That has got to be one of the best one-liners in the history of the series, and just like that, it looks like another friendship is over.  What are your thoughts on all the drama? Vicki Gunvalson: I Still Think Gina Kirschenheiter is Lying …

On the most recent episode of The Real Housewives of Orange County , Vicki Gunvalson was feeling very argumentative and accused Gina of being “selfish.” Vicki is trying to clear the air, now. But she still insists that it’s frustrating to hear Gina speak so casually of her divorce. Taking to her Bravo blog, Vicki Gunvalson writes about her blowup fight with Gina Kirschenheiter. “I did feel like I was too hard on her when we all had dinner at my house,” Vicki admits. “And,” she continues. “I regret saying anything to her that may have hurt her feelings.” “It’s been frustrating for me to see her so casual about divorcing her husband,” Vicki expresses. “It doesn’t make sense to any of us,” Vicki says. “And I’ve come to the conclusion that there is a lot we don’t know.” Vicki then shares her personal conspiracy theory about the Kirschenheiter divorce. “My personal take on this is,” Vicki writes. “They were probably separated when we met her and that is why he decided to move to LA without her.” “I don’t know if that’s true,” Vicki admits. “But that’s what makes sense to me.” “If there is anything I do know, it’s the mistakes I made in my two marriages,” Vicki acknowledges. “And if there is anything I could do to help her or anyone else,” Vicki says. “I feel inclined to speak up.” “I have spent my entire professional life of almost 30 years helping people ‘plan for the unplanned ‘,” Vicki writes. ” And my goal is to always make sure their financial future is secure,” she says, referring to her insurance work. “It’s hard for me not to want to offer my advice to Gina,” she confesses. In other words, if she knew how to keep out of other people’s business, she wouldn’t be a Real Housewife. “This is not my first rodeo,” Vicki says. “I know how this ends and it’s hard.” “I want the best for Gina and her family,” she says. “And in the future I will not dismiss her reasons but will be there to help her if she needs me.” “When Gina asked me a question about regretting my decision to be divorced,” Vicki writes. “Knowing that I am in a better place got me really thinking about it.” Divorce is complicated, and everyone has different thoughts on the difficult process. “I think it comes down to not making the same mistakes I made before,” Vicki suggests. “And being the best partner for Steve I can be.” “I’m in an amazing place,” Vicki says. “And I’m incredibly grateful and thankful that such a solid, gorgeous, loving, ‘no drama’ man came in my life.” That’s certainly an improvement over that total creep Brooks Ayers . “We both live with the decision of divorce,” Vicki writes. “And we talk openly about it.” “The truth is we both agree we should have done things differently in our past marriages to have saved them,” she continues. “Divorce is difficult on the kids,” Vicki acknowledges. “Difficult financially and emotionally.” “And,” she concludes. “I’m much clearer now than I was 10 years ago on what it truly takes to make a marriage work.” After that, Vicki plugs her business and then encourages readers to follow her on Instagram. Gina Kirschenheiter has really resonated with a sizable chunk of fans and viewers of The Real Housewives of Orange County . She is, quite frankly, relatable. Divorce can be difficult, but a lot of viewers were happy to see someone speaking casually about a difficult process. Not every unpleasant experience is the end of the world. If Gina is pretty chill about her split, maybe that’s a good thing. View Slideshow: The Real Housewives of Orange County Premiere Just Gave Us So Much More Hope For Season 13

Mike Sorrentino Begs Judge For Leniency, Receives Prison Time Anyway

It’s a sad day for Jersey Shore star and reality TV icon Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino. As we reported earlier, Sorrentino has been sentenced to eight months in prison in connection with a string of legal troubles that began back in 2014. At that time, Mike and his older brother Marc were indicted for failure to pay taxes on $8.9 million in earnings. Additionally, the brothers were accused of covering up their crimes by filing false tax returns in connection to Mike’s business ventures. In April of 2017, Mike was hit with additional charges of tax evasion and structuring funds to avoid currency transaction reports. Under the terms of his plea deal, Sorrentino was only forced to plead guilty to one count of tax evasion, but that proved to be enough to land him behind bars. Mike’s attorneys argued that he played a minimal role in the financial conspiracy masterminded by his brother (who has already been sentenced to two years in prison). They also noted that Sorrentino has worked hard to overcome the substance abuse issues that plagued him as a young adult. Speaking on his own behalf, Sorrentino made a heartfelt plea for leniency that ultimately fell on deaf ears. “I am deeply sorry. I will forever regret the decisions I made,” he told the court. “I overcame my demons in 34 months,” Sorrentino added. “I was in almost a full year of treatment. I lost everything in a short period of time. I was immature. Everything came overnight.” Sorrentino joked that he “doesn’t even speed anymore” before listing the ways in which he’s served his community over the course of the past three years. “I have a new team of professionals helping me. I work at two rehabs to share my story,” he said. “I volunteer at the police department. I warn kids of the dangers of substance abuse. I want to continue to be a positive role model in my community.” But despite Mike’s obvious remorse, his good works, and the endorsement of his Shore castmates — all of whom were present in the courtroom today — the judge denied Sorrentino’s request for probation and a fine and his only penalties. In addition to jail time, Mike will be forced to serve 500 hours of community service and pay a $10,000 fine within 30 days. He has already paid $123,913 in restitution. There’s no word yet on when Mike will begin serving his sentence, but it currently looks as though he will not be appearing in the planned third season of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation . U.S. Marshals Set To Arrest The Game Tonight At Oregon Rap Show (Exclusive)

(Photo by Prince Williams/GC Images) The Game On The Run After Ignoring $7.1 Million Sex Assault Judgment The game is up for The Game. The U.S. Marshals are poised to arrest the West Coast rapper Friday night during a concert, BOSSIP can reveal. The Game, whose real name is Jayceon Taylor, was supposed to appear in federal court Friday in Illinois to answer why he hasn’t turned over his financial information to Priscilla Rainey, who won $7.1 million after suing him for sexually assaulting her while they filmed his reality show “She’s Got Game.” LOS ANGELES, CA – APRIL 14: Jayceon Terrell Taylor, aka The Game, The Game x Sprayground Collaboration Signing At Shoe Palace attends at Shoe Palace on April 14, 2016 in Los Angeles, California. Rainey has complained that The Game has repeatedly dodged her request for the docs so she can figure out how to begin collecting her multimillion-dollar payout. However, The Game’s lawyer asked the judge to throw the warrant out “in the interests of justice and equity,” saying that his client provided the financial docs in time for Friday’s hearing.

Elsewhere In The World: Ireland To Pass “Revolutionary” New Abortion Law Within The Next 6 Months

Ireland On Its Way To Passing New Abortion Law Following an unexpectedly large victory for the movement to repeal of its constitutional amendment which outlaws abortion, Ireland is now expected to have a new law within six months. Two-thirds of voters in Friday’s referendum voted in support to repeal of the 8th Amendment, which outlawed the procedure by citing “the right to life of the unborn.”  Irish prime minister Leo Varadkar called for the vote earlier this year and praised the result, calling it a “quiet revolution.” The repeal does not legalize abortion in Ireland, and the Oireachtas legislature will still need to pass a law doing so–but of course, this makes that a lot more likely.  The legislative process would be easier than expected and complete within six months, Varadkar said, because of “the fact that the result is so clear that it is more than 2:1 in favor.”  The final tally found that 66.4% voted yes to amend the constitution while 33.6% voted no. Proposed legislation from the country’s Health Ministry would legalize abortion up to 12 weeks of pregnancy and allow second-trimester abortions if two doctors determine that there is a risk of serious harm to the mother.  It will also include a three-day waiting period after a woman seeks an abortion. The law would put Irish abortion law in a similar position to other European countries such as Belgium and the Czech Republic, though laws vary in terms of waiting periods and timeframes for cases.  In England — where many Irish women have traveled for abortions — abortion is legal up to 24 weeks. Laws in the United States vary from state to state, but the 1973 Supreme Court decision Roe v. Wade legalized abortion across the country in the first trimester.

Ring Doesn’t Mean A Thing: Mariah Carey Sold $10 Milli Engagement Sparkler From Ballin’ Billionaire Ex-Fiancé

XactpiX/Splash News/Clasos.com.mx / Splash News Mariah Carey Sold James Packer’s Engagement Ring For Closure File this one under “If you care…” Mariah Carey is said to have sold her engagement ring from James Packer — you know the one that was reported to be worth $10 million, that she got to keep as part of her financial settlement when they spit. According to Page Six’s Richard Johnson: “Mariah has been very vocal recently about her choice to move forward in her life surrounded by positivity,” her publicist told me. “That requires leaving emotional and material baggage behind, including an old engagement ring from an ex-boyfriend.” A source said Carey had one of her business managers quietly sell the ring for $2.1 million to a Los Angeles jeweler. “A confidentiality agreement was signed, but the jeweler is currently selling it, and there’s only one such ring,” my source said. “Mariah Carey’s public relations people are desperately trying to keep the story from the press, and have threatened the jeweler with litigation if he discloses her name.” An insider in Carey’s camp scoffed at the idea that she sold the bauble because she’s short on cash: “She owns multiple homes, her entire catalog of music, and she’s had numerous successful tours and residencies.” The insider also said the ring was worth way less than $10 million. Do y’all think Mariah is cold-blooded for selling the ring for such a “low” price?

Howard University Protesters Enter Sixth Day Of Building Takeover

Howard University protesters continue to occupy an administration building for a fifth day in protests sparked by revelations that university employees had misappropriated financial aid money from 2007 to 2016. Students occupying the administration building have refused to leave until all nine of their demands are met, including the resignation of university president  Wayne A.I. Frederick . Official 8 P.M. Press Release. #StudentPowerHU pic.twitter.com/HDk8LBhQNh — #StudentPowerHU (@HUResist) April 3, 2018 So far, only one of the nine demands has been met. The board agreed Saturday (March 30) to the students’ first demand: to “provide adequate housing for all students under the age of 21 and extend the fall 2018 housing deposit deadline to May 1,” according to  Alexis McKenney , a Howard student and lead organizer of HU Resist. In an emailed statement to students,  Kenneth Holmes , vice president of student affairs, confirmed that the school will extend the deadline to put down a deposit for housing. If a large number of students request on-campus housing, Holmes said, the university will delay renovating the Harriet Tubman Quadrangle, a.k.a. ‘The Quad” to accommodate them. “The Quad” includes five dorms housing about 640 freshman women, Howard’s website states. Check out the beautiful community we've built in the A building. We're inclusive of marginalized identities and uplifting of student voice. All Howard students are welcome, so come through tonight or tomorrow! An example of #StudentPowerHU ! pic.twitter.com/55B33C7cWK — #StudentPowerHU (@HUResist) April 2, 2018 Holmes also said that the “administration will engage our students in examining the adequacy of on-campus housing to meet Howard University’s housing policy,” which requires students under 21 to live on campus unless they live with a parent or guardian. “Our students are our priority, and we look forward to supporting them in their holistic Howard University experience,” Holmes said in the statement. As previously reported, Frederick launched an internal investigation last year which found that some university employees were receiving grants from the school to attend classes while also receiving tuition remission, earning more money than their education cost and pocketing the difference. The university confirmed the results of the investigation, but did not say how much money may have been misappropriated. The public did not find out about the scandal until an expose was published on the blogging platform Medium last week; it has since been deleted. The @HUResist occupation is in it's 5th day. It is an amazing testament to the organizing skills, will, political strength, community, revolutionary praxis, sacrifice, and dedication of the students who have made this possible and sustained it. #StudentPowerHU — #OperationPUSH (@jaybeware) April 2, 2018 Even though one demand has been met, McKenney said students will continue to occupy the administration building until the other eight have been met. HU Resist is not willing to negotiate on the remaining demands, she said. “We want people to see that there is a reason why we are here,” McKenney said. “It’s not just the financial aid situation — that highlights a very serious and a pervasive issue of the lack of transparency with this administration, and the lack of student involvement in all functions, which has led to a lot of issues.” The Howard University Alumni Association released a statement Sunday backing President Frederick and the Board of Trustees. Association president  Nadia Pinto  said there have been many advancements under the leadership of Frederick, including four consecutive years of faculty salary increases and the university’s partnership with Google. Pinto also acknowledged the importance of addressing the issues raised by protesting students. “The hearts and actions of our students today mirror the students who stood outside the A-Building fighting for change during the 60’s, 80’s and 90’s,” Pinto said. “When we see student protests, we know it is an indication that their voices are not being heard.” If you would like to donate to help ensure that we can continue to provide food and supplies for the surrounding community, and expand to provide for the larger community, please do! https://t.co/rBh7wIepSX — Wayne Frederick Doesn’t Care About Black People (@414Specs) April 2, 2018 READ MORE STORIES ON BLACKAMERICAWEB.COM: GET THE HOTTEST STORIES STRAIGHT TO YOUR INBOX:  Close Thank you for subscribing! Hankerson, a student who worked in the financial aid office, is accused of embezzling $429,000. “It’s been an extremely difficult time,” Hankerson told Roland Martin . “I am trying to remain optimistic about this, but it has been a challenge–particularly going to class, worrying about safety and welfare concerns.” Hankerson worked in the financial aid office throughout his undergrad years at Howard. From 2011 to 2015, his main job was to work as an assistant the directors of the Financial Aid office. When asked directly about whether he stole money from the school, Hankerson seemed to think it was a ridiculous idea. He believes he’s only been dragged into this as part of a plot to force Dr. Wayne Fredrick out of his position as President of Howard. “I have not embezzeled any money ever, and I have not taken or embezzeled $429,000 from Howard University. That is absolutely false,” he insisted. “The money that was awarded to me was through the discretion of university officials who have the authority to make those decisions.” Including pay he received for working at the school, grants, financial aid and scholarships, Hankerson estimates that he received about $200,000 from Howard University during his undergrad years.
