Dr. Conrad Murray’s defense attorney has told jurors that the personal physician to Michael Jackson gave him a modest 25 milligrams of Propofol on June 25, 2009. Reports suggest the star had significantly higher levels of the powerful anesthetic in his system, however. Of course, Murray’s defense also has an answer for that. Dr. Murray’s lawyers contend that when the cardiologist left the room briefly, Michael Jackson killed himself , unintentionally, by taking a lethal dose himself. Among the problems with Murray’s controversial defense theory: Michael Jackson’s fingerprints were NOT on any Propofol Murray’s girlfriends cast doubt on his timeline of events As testimony in the involuntary manslaughter trial continues, medical professionals are expected to reveal “toxic and lethal levels of Propofol in his system,” reports say . The levels of Propofol were reportedly extremely high, which if so, plays into the prosecutors’ case that Murray negligent in his actions before and after MJ died. Two paramedics and two doctors that treated Jackson at the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center told jurors Murray never revealed he gave Jackson Propofol.

Amanda Knox was cleared of murder charges in Italy on Monday after jurors threw out a 2009 conviction that sent the American student to prison for a quarter-century. Almost immediately following her exoneration in the slaying of Meredith Kercher, media watchers began pondering when/if a book deal for Knox is on the way. She certainly has a compelling story to tell … but would you buy it? This summer, another young woman who attracted massive media attention was found innocent of murder, and quickly drew offers exceeding $750,000 for such a book. Casey Anthony has not written a book or even given an interview, of course. Due to widespread public hatred of her, one wonders if there will ever be a market. Knox, however, seems to enjoy much wider public support. It helps that a review of DNA evidence and long appellate proceedings resulted in her winning her freedom. Meredith Kercher’s throat was slashed in 2007, officials believed, after a sadistic sex game between the victim, Knox, and her boyfriend gone horribly, fatally wrong. Knox always maintained her innocence, although what happened to Kercher still remains a mystery. Would you be interested in hearing her side of the story? Tell us: Amanda Knox :
The morons at the Westboro Baptist Church announced plans last night to protest Steve Jobs’ funeral, but even they can’t resist Apple’s really cool tech stuff. Margie Phelps, daughter of the church’s founder and a lawyer who represented the church during their First Amendment case at the Supreme Court (which Westboro won), Tweeted about the death of Steve Jobs using … wait for it … Her iPhone. “Westboro will picket his funeral. He had a huge platform; gave God no glory & taught sin,” Margie tweeted, apparently unable to appreciate the irony in embracing the cutting-edge advancements of a decent man they somehow condemn. One church member, Shirley Phelps-Roper, offered this take: She suggested that God was manipulating Jobs to help advance the message of Westboro Baptist Church, writing: “God used Steve Jobs to create amazing STUFF for WBC to preach!” Amen, sister. The Topeka, Kansas based church believes God punishes America for its tolerance of sin, acceptance of homosexuality, and so on. They often have demonstrated – legally but reprehensibly – at funerals of celebrities and armed service personnel. They can suck it.
Country star, however, claims he made the choice to pull his ‘All My Rowdy Friends’ from ESPN’s ‘Monday Night Football.’ By Gil Kaufman Hank Williams Jr. (file) Photo: Rick Diamond/ Getty Images ESPN officially parted ways with controversial country star Hank Williams Jr. on Thursday (October 6), just days after it suspended him for comparing President Obama to Adolf Hitler. Williams’ signature song, “All My Rowdy Friends,” was initially pulled from this week’s “Monday Night Football” broadcast for one night, but the firing became permanent Thursday when the network formally severed ties with the notoriously rabblerousing singer. “We have decided to part ways with Hank Williams, Jr.,” ESPN announced in a statement. “We appreciate his contributions over the past years. The success of Monday Night Football has always been about the games and that will continue.” The controversy began to bubble Monday morning after the outspoken Williams appeared on a Fox News morning show, during which he condemned a June golf outing involving Republican Speaker of the House John Boehner and Obama. “It’s like Hitler playing golf with [Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin] Netanyahu,” he said of the bipartisan golf game. The hosts of the conservative network’s “Fox & Friends” morning program seemed surprised by the comment, with co-anchor Gretchen Carlson asking Williams to clarify what he meant by the inflammatory statement, saying, “You used the name of one of the most hated people in all the world to describe, I think, the president.” Williams responded, “That’s true … but I’m telling you like it is.” A short time later, Williams issued the first of two apologies , writing on his website, “Some of us have strong opinions and are often misunderstood … My analogy was extreme — but it was to make a point.” That appeared to do little to quell the firestorm over his comments, leading to Thursday’s firing. Williams’ “Rowdy” has been part of “Monday Night Football” for more than two decades, and the singer was clearly stung by the sports network’s actions. In a statement denying that he’d been fired, Williams wrote , “After reading hundreds of e-mails, I have made MY decision,” he said, employing the classic “you can’t fire me because I quit” argument. “By pulling my opening Oct 3rd, You (ESPN) stepped on the Toes of The First Amendment Freedom of Speech, so therefore Me, My Song, and ‘All My Rowdy Friends’ are OUT OF HERE. It’s been a great run.” Related Artists Hank Williams Jr.
Rosie O’Donnell will soon premiere a new talk show, but she’s even more excited about the new woman in her life. “I did not expect it when I met her at Starbucks,” O’Donnell tells People of Michelle Rounds , who she started dating a few months ago. “She didn’t look like any lesbian I’d ever met. But it’s fun and very exciting.” O’Donnell, whose The Rosie Show debuts on OWN on October 10, says she’s “in menopause” and has been having “really bad hot flashes,” but her therapist gave her another explanation recently for the heat: “[It’s] because you’re also in love.” Awww, that’s sweet. We guess. [Photo: WENN.com]
Country star Sara Evans is livid with her ex-husband for allegedly causing irreparable harm to their children by badmouthing her on Anderson Cooper’s new show. As a result, she’s requested a restraining order against him. Craig Schelske appeared on Anderson on September 20, claiming he lost custody of his kids because Sara falsely said that Craig is a porn-obsessed adulterer . Sara claims the interview not only violated a 2010 temporary injunction blocking him from bashing Sara in public, it also “caused irreparable harm to the children.” On September 21, a day after the interview aired, Sara filed a request for a restraining order to block Craig from commenting about the divorce proceedings. A judge signed the order the same day. A source close to Craig responded, “This is a violation of his First Amendment rights, and he won’t take it lying down.” Doesn’t a legal injunction count for something? Just saying. [Photo: WENN.com]
As protests spread to Ohio and Indiana from Wisconsin, Republicans are taking a harder and meaner stand against them. Look at that video above. Those citizens exercising their First Amendment rights are being called “a danger”, which is the excuse given for limiting the number of people allowed to enter the statehouse today. Do they look dangerous to you? Maybe it’s dangerous to sing “God Bless America”… Broadcasting platform : YouTube Source : Crooks and Liars Discovery Date : 23/02/2011 00:23 Number of articles : 2
Ron Paul Texas Straight Talk December 14, 2010 WikiLeaks’ release of classified information has generated a lot of attention world-wide in the past few weeks. The hysterical reaction makes one wonder if this is not an example of killing the messenger for the bad news. Any information that challenges the official propaganda for the war in the Middle East is unwelcome by the administration and supporters of these unnecessary wars. Few are interested in understanding the relationship of our foreign policy and our presence in the Middle East to the threat of terrorism. Revealing the real nature and goal for our presence in so many Muslim countries is a threat to our empire and any revelation of this truth is highly resented by those in charge. Questions to consider: 1. Do the American people deserve to know the truth regarding the ongoing war in Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan and Yemen? 2. Could a larger question be: how can an Army Private gain access to so much secret material? 3. Why is the hostility mostly directed at Assange, the publisher, and not our government’s failure to protect classified information? 4. Are we getting our money’s worth from the $80 billion per year we spend on our intelligence agencies? 5. Which has resulted in the greatest number of deaths; lying us into war, or WikiLeaks’ revelations or the release of the Pentagon Papers? 6. If Assange can be convicted of a crime for publishing information, that he did not steal, what does this say about the future of the First Amendment and the independence of the internet? 7. Could it be that the real reason for the near universal attacks on WikiLeaks is more about secretly maintaining a seriously flawed foreign policy of empire than it is about national security? 8. Is there not a huge difference between releasing secret information to help the enemy in the time of a declared war—which is treason—and the releasing of information to expose our government lies that promote secret wars, death, and corruption? 9. Was it not once considered patriotic to stand up to our government when it’s wrong? more at link… added by: rodstradamus
