Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson: Moving in Right Direction!

Multiple reports are now coming in, verifying what we first reported last week Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson are nearing a full-on reconciliation! According to the latest issue of OK! Weekly , the “frost is thawing” between Ron and Kristen, with the former trusting his estranged girlfriend more and more. He reportedly really does believe her regret over kissing Rupert Sanders . “Rob has always said they were soul mates and part of him still believes it,” a source tells the tabloid. “So having to cut her out of his life has been excruciating. He hasn’t forgiven her yet, but he seems to be going in that direction.” A Wonderwall insider shares this sentiment. Pattinson and Stewart are NOT back together, that website states. However: “He loves her and despite everything, Rob is the person Kristen cares about and loves most. They are taking things slow, but it’s moving in the right direction.” Oh yes, Twihards. It appears we are a lot closer to Robsten 2.0 than to Robsten 2.NO.

Candice Accola and Zach Roerig: It’s Over!

Vampire Diaries stars Zach Roerig and Candice Accola have broken up. The two cast members, who kept their relationship off-screen very low-key, first got together in the fall of last year. Apparently it’s over now , though. No reason was given for the split, first reported by Us Weekly . In October of last year, Accola tweeted a photo of Roerig, writing, “Cheering on my man at his second paddle board race! He kicked some major a**.” Roerig also tweeted a photo of Accola in a bikini on the beach with “Go Zach!” written across her stomach. “My number one cheerleader!” he wrote. That was about it for public acknowledgements of their romance, however. Accola, 25, plays bubbly vampire Caroline Forbes on the hit CW show. Roerig, 27, plays Matt Donovan, always a fan favorite … in TVD death pools. The show definitely keeps its romances in house. Paul Wesley is married to Season 3 guest star Torrey DeVitto, while Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder are also a couple. [Photos: WENN.com]

Mitt Romney Reaffirms Opposition to Gay Marriage

In the wake of President Obama’s support for gay marriage , his all-but-certain Republican foe in the 2012 presidential election reaffirmed that he is opposed to it. Mitt Romney said he is opposed to both civil unions and same-sex marriage, in fact. The former Massachusetts governor told Denver Fox affiliate KDVR-TV: “Well, when these issues were raised in my state of Massachusetts, I indicated my view, which is I do not favor marriage between people of the same gender, and I do not favor civil unions if they are identical to marriage other than by name.” “My view is the domestic partnership benefits, hospital visitation rights, and the like are appropriate but that the others are not,” added Romney. Obama’s support came following Tuesday’s passage of North Carolina Amendment One, a constitutional amendment banning gay marriage, civil unions and domestic partnerships, and Vice President Joe Biden support for gay marriage. He made the end of his “evolution” on the topic official in an interview with ABC News’ Robin Roberts, which aired on Good Morning America today. “Over the course of several years, I have talked to friends and family and neighbors, and I think about members of my own staff who are in incredibly committed monogamous relationships, same-sex relationships, who are raising kids together,” he said. “When I think about those soldiers or airmen or marines or sailors who are out there fighting on my behalf and yet feel constrained, even now that Don’t Ask Don’t Tell is gone, because they are not able to commit themselves in a marriage, at a certain point I’ve just concluded that for me personally it is important for me to go ahead and affirm that I think same sex couples should be able to get married.” President Obama on Gay Marriage As the Republican nominee, Mitt Romney supports a federal constitutional amendment defining marriage as between one man and one woman, according to the National Organization for Marriage pledge he signed. He also pledged to defend the Defense of Marriage Act in court, in contrast to the Obama administration, which does not defend DOMA as it thinks the 1996 law banning federal recognition of gay marriage is unconstitutional. After the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court ruled that gays had the right to marry in 2003, Romney initially said he would follow the ruling while seeking a constitutional amendment to overturn it. Ultimately, he used a variety of tactics to try to block the ruling, unsuccessfully. If the election were today …

Jennie Garth is going through a rough patch these days now that she and husband Peter Facinelli announced plans to divorce, but she’s hanging in there nicely. Appearing on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno Thursday night, she opened up about life following the breakup and leaving L.A. for more wide open spaces. After Leno politely brought up the surprising demise of her marriage to the 38-year-old Breaking Dawn star, Garth admitted the divorce hasn’t been easy. “It’s unfortunate. Prodded by Leno, the actress was more than happy to mention that their daughters – Luca Bella, 14; Lola Ray, 9; and Fiona Eve, 5 – are their pride and joy. “My husband and I, we grew up together, so we are very important people to each other and we do, we have three beautiful daughters,” she added. Garth, who stopped by to promote her new reality series on CMT, Jennie Garth: A Little Bit Country , also discussed her current zip code and living on a ranch. “I always wanted to get the hell out of L.A. and experience a different life,” she said. “I’ve been in L.A. working since I was 14 and 15, and I just needed fresh air.” “So… I moved my girls to the country and put them in public school.”

Amanda Bynes Arrested for DUI

Let’s give Amanda Bynes credit: the actress didn’t merely get arrested for DUI early this morning. She made her arrest count!* As first reported by TMZ, Bynes was busted around 3 a.m. in West Hollywood after she attempted to pass a police car in hew BMW… and ended up side-swiping the vehicle! Following this incident cops pulled the 26-year old over, determined she was not fit to be driving and hauled her into the station. She was released hours later on $5,000 bond. * We are just kidding. No DUI arrest ever “counts” for anything positive. Stay alive, readers. Don’t drink and drive.

Source: Emily Maynard Asked to Be The Bachelorette

After Brad Womack famously selected no one in his first stint as The Bachelor , the Texas bar owner was brought back for a second go-around last winter. He got engaged to Emily Maynard, but that fizzled out before long. Now it’s Emily being sought by ABC to return for another stint on the reality franchise. In fact, the network has already asked her to be The Bachelorette, sources say, and despite her earlier lack of interest, “It’s basically a done deal.” Wow. Another source close to Emily Maynard , the single mom of six-year-old Ricki, tells Life & Style that while “she hasn’t signed the contract yet, she’s fully on board.” Since splitting with Brad in May after becoming engaged to him on The Bachelor season finale, the North Carolina product has been linked to various men. Jeremy Shockey of the NFL’s Carolina Panthers and Most Eligible Dallas cast member Matt Nordgren come to mind, though she has denied seriously dating either. Perhaps the allure of being The Bachelorette grew on her. “Emily is America’s sweetheart,” adds the source. “Fans will be thrilled! Everyone loved her.” True. If Emily doesn’t pan out, look for a castoff from Ben Flajnik’s season to fill the role ( The Bachelor spoilers we’ve read single out a few prospects). What do you think: Should Emily Maynard be The Bachelorette?
