Political rhetoric on the floor of the House of Representatives took a surprisingly personal turn last night when Jackie Speier (D-CA) shared that she had lost a baby after having gone through an abortion procedure when she was 17 months pregnant. Her impassioned revelation was in response to a graphic description of an abortion procedure that had just been read aloud by Rep. Chris Smith (R-NJ). Epitome Of A Bad Father

What the hell??? A drug-fuelled father shut his seven-month-old baby son in a freezer because he thought the kitchen floor was too dirty for him to sit on, a court heard. Chance Kracke, who has been jailed for ten years, picked up the baby in his arms and put him on the bottom shelf of the freezer in his home last August. He then closed the door while he was preparing some food, police said. The 25-year-old, of Arizona, said he did not want the baby to get dirty by putting him on the floor, as the house was a mess. He left the baby in the freezer until he heard him crying a few minutes later and took him out, Maricopa County Superior Court heard. The baby survived and only suffered a cut and a lump on his forehead, which police believe could be because he hit his head on the freezer door. Police were called to the house in Chandler after the baby’s grandmother raised the alarm because she was worried about the size of the lump. Threatened: Leanne Kracke said her husband would have hurt her if she told police what had happened Kracke and his wife, Leanne, had been smoking methamphetamine, or ‘meth’ – an illegal drug with side effects including diarrhoea, insomnia and headaches. They had been doing this every day for a month and a half at the time of the incident in August, the court was told. Police visited the home in August after the incident and saw broken glass on the floor, cockroaches and smelt a ‘strong odour of faeces and urine’, reported television station ABC 15 last year. ‘The apartment was filthy with trash, dismantled electronics, sharp objects and alcohol within reach of the children,’ a police statement said. Kracke pleaded guilty in court to two charges of child abuse. Judge Robert Gottsfield sentenced him to ten years imprisonment and lifetime probation. His wife told investigators that he threatened to hurt her if she revealed the incident to police. The 26-year-old pleaded guilty to two counts of child abuse and possessing drug paraphernalia. She was sentenced to lifetime probation last month. No comment. Source

Jennifer Lopez’s ‘On The Floor’ Video To Be An ‘Underground Party’

‘We’ve seen so many club videos, but we want to see a club video with a vibe unique to Jennifer Lopez,’ choreographer tells MTV News. By Jocelyn Vena, with reporting by Matt Elias Jennifer Lopez Photo: Jeffrey Mayer/ Getty Images This weekend, Jennifer Lopez is set to film the music video for her club banger “On the Floor.” MTV News was at auditions in L.A., where some of the area’s most skilled and unique dancers showed up to see if they might make the final cut for the video. On Thursday, the video’s director, Taj, revealed what he was looking to capture in the clip: “Originality, being you. This song is about being who you want. It’s about letting loose. There’s no explanation. This is this underground video, this underground party.” Choreographer Frank Gatson Jr. gushed over the chance to work with the new “American Idol” judge on the clip. “I love working with J.Lo,” he said. “She’s a sweetheart. She understands the business.” Gatson also talked a bit about what the crew has in mind for the video’s funky vibe. “I kind of get the feeling that she wants us to be in the club after 2 a.m. in L.A.,” he revealed. “That’s so amazing. [It’s like] everybody had some watermelon and the watermelon made them high, it gave them a little buzz — but a good buzz, a real magical buzz, a dance buzz, a buzz that makes you feel like fried chicken, so she just wants everybody to have a good old time. “The club must have this vibe, where you get on the floor and everybody’s bringing it,” he added. “We’ve seen so many club videos, but we want to see a club video with a vibe unique to Jennifer Lopez.” “On the Floor” producer RedOne recently talked to MTV News about the track. “Of course, she’s global. She’s a global artist,” he said. “She’s a global actress, and the music has to be global, and the rhythmic side of it or the Latin and this thing of a dancer [all has to be there]. “She said, ‘I want to dance. I want to make people dance and be able to sing with me.’ That’s what we did, and it feels good. I think we’re going to have a big one.” What are you expecting from the “On the Floor” video? Jennifer Lopez To Shoot ‘On The Floor’ Video This Weekend

‘We’re going to be looking for real club kids,’ singer says of dancer auditions. By James Dinh Jennifer Lopez Photo: Jeffrey Mayer/ Getty Images That was fast! Days after Jennifer Lopez’s new single “On the Floor” surfaced online, the pop star is already gearing up to shoot a music video for the RedOne-produced dance tune. Making the radio rounds to promote her “American Idol” judging debut , the triple-threat entertainer spoke about an open casting call she’s holding for the track’s clip, which is scheduled to be shot this weekend. “We’re going to be looking for real club kids,” Lopez told Ryan Seacrest during his radio show Wednesday (January 19). “You know those kids who go to the club and they dance all night and that’s all they care about? It’s just about having a good time, getting all sweaty, and it’s all about the music and leaving it on the dance floor.” Asked what the concept will be for the “On the Floor” video, J.Lo kept mum: “I don’t want to say what the video is, but that’s the type of dancers. We’re doing a big casting call.” Keeping to her word, the singer later tweeted audition details: “Open Casting Call for HOT dancers/club kids for my new video!!! This Thurs 4-6PM @ 1258 N. Highland Ave Hollywood, CA 90038. LET’S GO!” Speaking with KTU 103.5 , the singer talked about “On the Floor,” the lead single from her heavily delayed LP, Love?, saying the tune was the result of studio sessions with Lady Gaga producer RedOne . “I’m really excited about it,” she gushed about the Pitbull-featuring single. “We worked together to do some songs for my album that’s coming out soon. I’ve been working on this album for a while. It’s just exciting to have the first single really out there. Pit, I love working it. I’ve worked with him before. We have a good chemistry. I’m just excited. It’s a hot song.” As for the song’s international sound, Lopez said she was looking to evolve her urban/pop sound. “It feels like me today, which I like. It’s not something that you hear and you’re like, ‘That’s not her,’ but you also go, ‘Is that her? I like that. It’s new,’ and that’s what I wanted. I wanted it to be very me, but I wanted it to be me not from my first album or my second album, but for today.” Don’t miss our “American Idol” live stream “Judging the Judges: An ‘Idol’ Without Simon,” featuring post-show analysis from Jim Cantiello and special guests, on MTV.com tonight at 10 p.m. ET. New Jennifer Lopez Single: What Do You Think?

Jennifer Lopez really is attempting a comeback. As you may have heard, the former A-lister will judge American Idol this season, while also pushing a few new singles on the public. The first, titled “On the Floor,” has been released online. It’s upbeat, it features (extended) guest rapping by Pitbull and, we’re sorry to say, but this artist would have been better off living with Michael Vick a few years ago. Seriously, this is pretty bad stuff… Jennifer Lopez – On the Floor (Ft. Pitbull)
