Shots Fired: “Preachers of L.A.” Star Deitrick Haddon Claps Back At Bishop T.D. Jakes For Slamming Show

Sanctified shots fired! Deitrick Haddon Responds To Bishop T.D. Jakes We recently reported that popular preacher Bishop T.D. Jakes recently spoke out against Oxygen’s new “Preachers of L.A.” reality show. According to EEW Magazine : “Now, I know you been watching that junk on TV. I want to tell you right now, not one dime of what you’re sowing right now will buy my suit. I want you to know my car is paid for. I want you to know I got my house on my own. I want you to know I’m not bling-blinging. I am not shake and bake. I had money when I came to Dallas and I plan to have some when I leave.” You did not buy what I got. I had it when I came here. You know I had it when I came here. The devil is a lie! I have sold enough books and produced enough movies. I don’t need your offering to pay for this little slimy suit. So I rebuke that spirit in the name of Jesus Christ.” After hearing what Bishop T.D. Jakes’ remarks about the reality show, one of the show’s stars Deitrick Haddon called in to PRAISE 102.5 to clap back at the Bishop: “I have the absolute utmost respect for Bishop TD Jakes and what he represents. I considered him one of our generals in this generation. “I was a bit taken back and shocked when I saw his view on the show, being that he’s a forefather in unorthodox, unconventional methods of sharing the Gospel, whether it be through MegaFest or partnering with comedians or Oprah.” Do you agree with his comments about the show? And, moreover, do you believe that his church members’ money doesn’t fund his lavish lifestyle? Continue reading

Arrests: Escaped Florida Inmates Who Were “Mistakenly Freed” Captured In Panama City Hotel

Escaped Florida Inmates Arrested In Panama City Hotel Charles Walker and Joseph Jenkins are back in the bingski… Via CNN: Florida authorities on Saturday evening arrested two convicted murderers who had been on the lam after being released from prison with forged documents, a state agency said. Charles Walker and Joseph Jenkins were taken into custody “without incident” at 6:40 p.m. at Panama City’s Coconut Grove Motor Inn, the Florida Department of Law Enforcement said. Members of that agency and the U.S. Marshals Service found and detained the two men, the agency said. Walker and Jenkins are expected to appear in court Sunday morning at the Bay County Courthouse in Panama City. The state Department of Corrections — which mistakenly released the men though it has insisted through no fault of its own — said little about the arrests. “We are, of course, happy they have been taken into custody,” agency spokeswoman Jessica Carey said. Authorities have been searching for Walker and Jenkins, both 34, after investigators discovered forged motions to reduce their respective sentences and forged court orders granting the requests. Earlier Saturday, family members of both men appealed for them to turn themselves in to authorities. “We just want you to surrender yourself to someone you trust who will bring you back in safely,” Walker’s mother, Lillie Danzy, said at a news conference outside the Orange County Sheriff’s Department in Orlando. Jenkins’ uncle, Henry Pearson, also urged the men to give their families some peace. Both families denied any knowledge in the escape plan, telling investigators and reporters they first learned of the releases in telephone calls from the Franklin Correctional Institution with news they could pick up their family member. The two men, according to family members, disappeared shortly after their return. In September 1998, Jenkins killed Roscoe Pugh Jr. during a home-invasion robbery attempt. Six months later, Cedric Slater was gunned down on an Orlando street corner — shot dead, a jury determined, by Walker. Both killers were convicted and sentenced to life behind bars without the possibility of parole within two years of their crime. While it’s not known whether they knew each other, they were at the same prison in North Carrabelle in Florida’s Panhandle. Jenkins left there on September 27, and Walker left on October 8, according to authorities. They had motions indicating the sentences had been reduced as well as court orders granting the request. Investigators later discovered these documents were forged. The legal-looking documents contained bogus reproductions of several key players’ signatures, including those of the Orlando-area State Attorney Jeffrey Ashton or the assistant state attorney and Judge Belvin Perry. They bore the seal of the Orange County clerk of court’s office. SMH. CNN/Bay County Sheriff Continue reading

You Big Dummy: Woman Asks Undercover Cop To Kill Her Husband And Mutual Friend

Today in dumbazz criminal news… Mom Tells Cops She Wants Someone To Kill Her Husband And Friend Whatever happened to divorce? She would have got half his gwap, but she wanted half his brains blown off. Dayum. According to WPBF: A South Florida woman who hated her husband and wanted him dead asked two police officers to help her find a hit man to kill him, police said. These are the vests that the two Boynton Beach police officers were wearing when Annybelkis Terrero allegedly asked them if they knew a hit man who could kill her husband. Sarah Wulchak has been arrested in Volusia County 19 times since 2003, most recently this week after deputies there said she bit off a chunk of her boyfriend’s ear. Here is a look at the mugshots from her 19 arrests. It’s important to note that an arrest is not an indication of guilt. Boynton Beach police said Terrero was in the process of becoming a confidential informant for narcotics officers when she told them that she hated her husband, wanted him dead and claimed to have a plan in place. Police said the two officers were wearing Boynton Beach Police Department tactical vests. Officers implied that they knew someone who could help her, so she gave them stolen credit cards as a down payment and told them to use the cards quickly because they were “hot,” police said. A meeting was arranged, and police said Terrero showed up at a shopping center Thursday night to meet with the supposed hit man, and produced a fully loaded Remington shotgun and a box of ammunition. She told the undercover cops she would pay $5,000 for each hit up front, and the remaining $20,000 after her husband and friend were dead. Police said Terrero told them she would use her husband’s life insurance money to get the cash. “She did mention that once,” neighbor Harold Henrich said. “She said she had a $1 million policy on him.” William Straub, a friend whom police said Terrero also wanted killed, told WPBF 25 News he doesn’t believe she meant it. “She has a severe drug and alcohol problem, and when she drinks, she’ll say crazy things,” Straub said. “You know, she took the Lindbergh baby. She, you know, was on the mother ship. You know, she’s out there.” Police didn’t say why Terrero wanted Straub dead. They had police agent written on their vests…WTF? Her friend sounds like he’s in denial. Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office

A “Lil Positivity”: Life-Long Florida Orphan Davion Only Receives Thousands Of Offers After Pleading For Family “Please Just Love Me Til I Die”

Damn this is so sad it almost makes us want to adopt him ourselves… Orphan Davion Only Pleads With Church For A Foster Family Via ABCNews The adoption agency handling the case of a Florida orphan whose church plea for a family to “love me until I die” has garnered national attention has been inundated with inquiries about him and offers to adopt him. “We have received a tremendous response from Davion’s story!” Eckerd posted on their Facebook page today. The agency has created a call center “to respond to each and every call” about 15-year-old Davion Navar Henry Only. “We ask that folks be patient, we are incredibly grateful for the outcry of interest in Davion and we will get back to everyone as soon as we can,” they wrote. “We are nearing 1,000 inquiries already! #secondchances” The agency has been so overwhelmed with calls that its voicemail has been filled to capacity, which has some people reporting problems. They are assuring people that the call center is working hard to respond to every call and message. Only, 15, has been in foster care his whole life, but has never had a family. On a recent Sunday, he stood in front of St. Mark Missionary Baptist Church in St. Petersburg, Fla., and made a public plea for a family. “I’ll take anyone,” Davion said. “Old or young, dad or mom, black, white, purple. I don’t care. And I would be really appreciative. The best I could be.” The plea has garnered national attention that Davion hopes will help him finally find a family. There has been an outpouring of support online for Davion, including on Facebook, Twitter and ABCNews.com. If you’re not crying by now, you’re probably not human… “We live in NY, but my husband just called the agency. We are waiting for a call back from them,” reader Denise Aponte Smith Kline wrote in the comments section of the ABCNews.com story. “We are foster parents and we have had 13 children come through our doors over the last 5-6 years. All of them so very special.” “We would be willing to adopt Davion if there isn’t another family, locally in his county, who doesn’t come forward,” Kline wrote. “Trusting the Lord to work this all out in Davion’s favor. No child should have to ever make a plea like that.” “Wow. I hope this kid finds a loving home,” another reader wrote. “It breaks my heart that so many children grow up in foster care. And when people adopt, they want babies or toddlers, not older kids or teens. Those kids deserve just as much love! Davion, I wish you the absolute best in life!!!” We pray that Davion finds a loving family to help raise him into a great man. Image via YouTube Continue reading

Florida Crazies: Man Tells Cops He Was Carrying Meth In Hopes They’d Reward His Honesty And Not Charge Him

Only in Florida … Via Gainesville reports: Hubert Wayne Simmons thought that if he told the police officer who stopped him after a 100-mph chase that he had meth in his pocket, he wouldn’t charge him with it. He was wrong. Simmons, 50, of 1448 SE Adams St., High Springs, was headed east in the 300 block of Northeast Santa Fe Boulevard in High Springs around 3 a.m. when High Springs Police Officer Ethan Presnell pulled behind the Chevy pickup. Simmons began speeding up, and the officer started to chase him at around 100 mph without closing ground, according to the police report. Simmons turned south onto Northwest 202nd Street still at speeds topping 90 mph before he finally stopped. Presnell pulled him from the truck at gunpoint, the report said. Simmons first told Presnell he didn’t realize that the officer was behind him, then said he tried to get away because he was afraid he would violate his probation since his truck had an expired tag. In the patrol car, Simmons told the officer that he had meth in his pocket but that it might have fallen out. He said he thought that if he was honest about it, the officer would not charge him. Presnell found a plastic bag with 1 gram of meth, and Simmons was arrested on charges of fleeing a police officer — and possession of a controlled substance. He was being held at the Alachua County jail on Thursday on $10,000 bond. Really??? Continue reading

Shayanna Jenkins, Girlfriend of Aaron Hernandez, Indicted as Accessory to Murder

Shayanna Jenkins, the girlfriend of Aaron Hernandez, has been indicted on a single perjury charge as an accessory to the murder he is charged with. A Massachusetts prosecutor said Friday that a grand jury indicted Jenkins on a single count in relation to the investigation into the June 17 slaying. Odin Lloyd was found shot to death in an industrial park in North Attleborough, Mass., near Hernandez’s home, where Jenkins also lives with their child. Shayanna Jenkins ‘ sister had been dating Lloyd. Aaron Hernandez has pleaded not guilty to first-degree murder in Odin Lloyd’s death and is has been held without bail for the past several months. The prosecutor says Hernandez’s cousin, Tanya Singleton, also was indicted on a new charge of conspiracy to commit accessory after the fact. The takeaway there is that the authorities believe she helped one of Aaron’s alleged accomplices get out of trouble by buying him a bus ticket to Florida. Aaron Hernandez Case Latest Details That man, Ernest Wallace, was eventually arrested in Florida, and is charged with being an accessory to Odin Lloyd’s murder. He remains in custody. Singleton has already pleaded not guilty to a criminal contempt charge. Authorities say she refused to testify before a grand jury in the murder case. Jenkins and Singleton were not arrested and have no court date yet. Aaron Hernandez’ s girlfriend faces up to two-and-a-half years in a jail if convicted on the perjury charge, though she would likely not get the full amount. If she goes to jail, child services would have to make arrangements with Jenkins’ family for the care of her child, as both parents would be in cells.
