Florida Teen Expelled And Arrested For Gay Relationship Via Think Progressive : A Florida family says their 18-year-old daughter was charged with a felony and expelled from high school as a result of a consensual, same-sex relationshi p with another student. Kaitlyn Hunt started dating a female classmate at the beginning of the school year when she was 17 and the girl she was about three years younger. According to an account posted to Facebook by Kaitlyn’s mother, in February, shortly after Kaitlyn turned 18, she was arrested on felony charges at the behest of her girlfriend’s parents. The specific crime was “sexual battery on a person 12-16 years old.” Kaitlyn’s mother believes the charges were motivated by anti-gay animus: They were out to destroy my daughter, they feel like my daughter “made” their daughter gay. They are bigoted, religious zeolites [sic] that see being gay as a sin and wrong, and they blame my daughter. But Kaitlyn’s problems did not end there. Her girlfriends’s parents appealed to the school board and had her expelled from Sebastian River High School. Kaitlyn’s mom reports that the State Attorney, Brian Workman, has offered Kaitlyn a plea deal of “of two years house arrest and one year probation.” Kaitlyn has until next Friday to accept the plea deal or face a trial. The family has started a petition calling on the state attorney to drop the charges against Kaitlyn. They do realize that this is unlikely to stop their daughter from having gay relationships, right? Dayyyuuumm Toronto Mayor Denies Recent Drug Use Report A group of Toronto reporters are standing by their story that they’ve seen video footage of Toronto Mayor Rob Ford piff puffin’ on “white powder,” despite the Mayor’s claims that the entire story is completely false. via Chicago Tribune Toronto Mayor Rob Ford on Friday denied allegations that he smoked cr**k c*c*ine. “Absolutely not true… It’s ridiculous,” Ford told reporters gathered outside his west Toronto house, before driving off in his SUV. Reporters for the Toronto Star newspaper and Gawker Media said late Thursday they had watched a cellphone video that appears to show Ford smoking the drug. The video is allegedly being shopped around for about $100,000 by people said to be involved in the drug trade. Reuters could not independently confirm the existence of the video. Ford’s lawyer, Dennis Morris, did not immediately return Reuters’ requests for comment. The Toronto Star said it stands by its reporting and the story is just one piece of a broader investigative report about Ford it has been working on for months. “This isn’t a story that we’re going to report lightly,” said Robyn Doolittle, one of two Toronto Star reporters who said they watched the video three times. She added: “The Toronto Star has a high bar that we always make sure we meet before we run something, especially when it comes to this mayor.” A surefire way to kicked out of political office? A bowler pulled a Plaxico Burress in Florida this week, shooting himself in the leg prior at the Jupiter Lanes Bowling Alley and scaring his fellow patrons half to death. Officers confirm that the man’s own gun discharged during his back swing with the ball. A bullet struck this idiot in the leg and he was taken away in a stretcher once paramedics arrived. The unnamed individual was taken to St. Mary’s Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries and authorities will not be pressing any charges.

The 28-year-old NFL player welcomed his first child with fiancee Lilit Avagyan on Monday, May 6. “Lilit gave birth to a beautiful baby girl,” her rep tells Us Weekly. The tot weighed in at 8 pounds, 9 ounces. The Detroit Lions running back and the 25-year-old dancer have been dating for about a year and a half. Bush confirmed Avagyan was pregnant in October 2012 on Florida’s Paul and Young Ron Morning Show. “I have a little one on the way,” he said. “We’re pretty excited!” Bush famously dated Kim Kardashian on-and-off for several years before calling it quits for good in March 2010. The 32-year-old reality starlet is also expecting her first child in July with boyfriend Kanye West. In an Apr. 15 blog post on the Detroit Lions’ website, Bush opened up about his thoughts on becoming first-time parents with his Armenian girlfriend. “I’m very excited. Very excited about the baby. It’s our first one and couldn’t have come at a better time,” he shared. “It couldn’t have come with a better person. Someone I really love and care about. It’s great. It really worked out perfect.” Bush also shared his plans to travel back and forth between his family in L.A. and work in Michigan. “The baby will be in L.A. Well, [Avagyan] is going to be in L.A. because her family lives 15-20 minutes away from us,” he explained. “So she’s going to need that support system while I’m here for a few days out of each week. Lo Music Video Set According to TMZ Jennifer Lopez — wearing a tiny bikini — was escorted off the set of a music video shoot in Ft. Lauderdale this weekend after three gunshots rang out right near the production. Lopez seemed very cool, calm and collected as her BF Casper Smart walked her to a nearby trailer. Police say the incident occurred at the northernmost point of the Ft. Lauderdale Beach Park … while Lopez and Pitbull were shooting the video in the southernmost end of the park. The Miami Herald quotes security officials saying Lopez was “secured inside her vehicle” at the time of the incident … but a reporter for “ET” says he was interviewing Lopez when the shots were fired and “security scrambled her away.” When cops arrived to the scene, a witness told police he saw the shooter. So far, no arrests have been made. We don’t want a repeat of 1999 with you running for your life as bullets fly pass your head. Glad to see she has upgraded her security since then because Casper is no Diddy. He can’t protect you.
