Tori Locklear Burns Hair Off in Beauty Tutorial Gone Awry

Tori Locklear made headlines for her online how-to hairstyle tutorial this week, but not in a good way – she burned a chunk of it off and the clip went viral. On the flip side, this really increased her visibility! Tori Locklear Burns Hair Off The Florida middle schooler’s guide to curling your hair went horribly wrong for her as she attempted to share her wisdom on the subject with viewers. Locklear was using a hot curling iron when suddenly her hair simply falls off. Her priceless reaction: “Oh my God…” she whispers. “You’re kidding me.” Luckily, she’s a good sport. On her Facebook page, she writes, “Hi I’m Tori Locklear! Yep, the girl who burned her hair off with the wand! That’s me LOL :D” “A hairdresser told me it was the TRESemme spray I put on my hair!” See? Consider that your tutorial there. TRESemme + iron = bad.

Casey Anthony Wins Appeal of Two Convictions For Lying to Police

Two of Casey Anthony’s four convictions for lying to authorities during the investigation into her daughter Caylee‘s disappearance have been dismissed, according to reports. Casey’s legal team appeared on her behalf in the 5th District Court of Appeals in Florida to appeal all four convictions and ask that they be thrown out. A panel of judges found that two of the four convictions should be tossed because they constituted double jeopardy – dual convictions of the same crime. The state argued that double jeopardy wasn’t a valid reason to reject any convictions because each false statement to law-enforcement was a separate offense. Ultimately both arguments were rejected, but the appeal court found that Casey Anthony , 26, could only be rightly convicted on two of the counts on merit. Now that the appeals have been settled, Zenaida Gonzalez‘s civil lawsuit against Casey for claiming she was a nanny that kidnapped Caylee can proceed. Casey claimed that “Zanny the Nanny” made off with her toddler; Gonzalez, a woman by that name, is now suing her for defamation as a result of the lie. Anthony was recently spotted at a steak house , one of the few times she has been seen outside of hiding in the 18 months since her murder acquittal.

Kelly Hildebrandt and Kelly Hildebrandt, "Facebook Couple," to Divorce

Kelly Hildebrandt and Kelly Hildebrandt, the Facebook couple who met, fell in love and got married all because they have the same name, are getting divorced. The pair with matching names made news when they tied the knot in 2009. But both Kelly Hildebrandts came to realize that sharing a name wasn’t enough . “She’s a Florida girl, and I’m a Texas guy,” Kelly Carl Hildebrandt (the guy) told Miami news station NBC 6. “We really did come from pretty different worlds.” The romance started in the same world: Facebook. One night in 2008, Kelly Katrina Hildebrandt was curious and bored. Wondering if anyone on the website shared her name, she typed it into the search engine. Up popped Kelly Carl. The then-20-year-old emailed the 24-year-old about the coincidence. Emails led to phone calls, phone calls to visits, and the whirlwind romance led to an engagement. The two wed in 2009; the news made People and Today . But despite sharing a name, blond good looks and worldwide attention, the marriage crumbled. “How do they term it at the courthouse? ‘Irreconcilable differences,’ that is what I would say,” added Kelly Carl Hildebrandt. “We gave it our best shot.”

Pittsburgh Steelers Baller Chris Rainey Cut From Team After Woman Beating Arrest!

Keep you hands to yourself, EVERYONE! Chris Rainey Cut From Pittsburgh Steelers After Domestic Violence Arrest Via ESPN The Pittsburgh Steelers waived running back Chris Rainey on Thursday after he was arrested in Gainesville, Fla., and charged with one count of simple battery after an altercation with a woman over a cellphone earlier in the day. “Under the circumstances and due to this conduct, Chris will no longer be a member of the Pittsburgh Steelers,” Steelers general manager Kevin Colbert said. According to a release from the Gainesville police department, officers were called at 8:26 a.m. to an apartment complex on SW 42nd Place regarding an argument between a man and a woman that had turned physical. Witnesses said Rainey and the female accuser were arguing over Rainey’s cellphone and Rainey pulled the woman out of a vehicle that belonged to his roommate and then slapped her in the face with an open hand. Rainey and the woman fell to the ground, and then Rainey chased the woman and grabbed her bag to retrieve his cellphone, the release said. The two fell again. The release said neither Rainey nor the woman suffered visible injuries. Police charged Rainey, a former standout at the University of Florida, with simple battery (dating violence), a first-degree misdemeanor, and he was booked into the Alachua County Jail. For those that think that the Steelers are being too hard on young Chris for “making an honest mistake”… It is not the first domestic violence arrest for Rainey, who just finished his rookie year with the Steelers. He was arrested Sept. 14, 2010, while at the University of Florida after sending a threatening text message to his on-again, off-again girlfriend that read: “Time to Die B—– u and ur???” Rainey was charged with felony aggravated stalking. Then-coach Urban Meyer immediately dismissed Rainey from the team. Thirteen days after his arrest, Rainey pled to a misdemeanor stalking charge and received deferred prosecution. He was ordered to pay $50 for the cost of prosecution, undergo evaluation and counseling for anger management/domestic violence issues, and either donate $100 to a domestic violence shelter or perform 10 hours of community service. This ninja is crazy. Good riddance. Image via AP

Newtown Conspiracy Theory: Professor Won’t Back Down Amid Backlash

A media professor at Florida Atlantic University won’t apologize for questioning the Sandy Hook school massacre, but denies he is fostering a conspiracy theory. James Tracy wrote on his personal blog that believes the events that unfolded in the Newtown, Conn., elementary school did not happen as we think – if at all. James Tracy Newtown Conspiracy Theory “While it sounds outrageous, one is left to inquire whether the Sandy Hook shooting ever took place,” he writes, suggesting Newtown didn’t happen as reported. He suggests there were multiple shooters and that the number of dead is incorrect, and that the government may have brought in actors to add drama. Tracy opines that “media coverage of the massacre of 26 children and adults was intended primarily for public consumption to further larger political ends.” The academic, also known for questioning authority and media regarding 9/11, the Oklahoma City bombing and the Aurora massacre, is not backing off either. When questioned about his theories by a local news reporter, Tracy responded: “The whole country mourned about Sandy Hook, but yet again the investigation that journalistic institutions should have carried out never took place, in my opinion.” The 47-year-old added that, “As a society we need to look at things more carefully. Perhaps we as a society have been conditioned to be duped.” Speaking on behalf of Tracy, Peter Phillips, president of the Media Freedom Foundation and Project Censored, said in a statement to Yahoo News: “James Tracy isn’t promoting a ‘conspiracy’ theory regarding Sandy Hook, but rather saying the media distorts the news, and doesn’t follow up on important questions.” “There were reports of more than one shooter in the Sandy Hook case.” “Tracy is not denying that it happened, but he is saying that when such events do happen it is the responsibility of the media to fully investigate all aspects of the story.” The media sensationalizing tragedies is certainly a worthwhile topic, but if that’s all he meant to imply … why not just write what that statement laid out?

Newtown Didn’t Happen, Professor Claims

A professor is causing befuddlement and outrage with recent claims that the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting in Newtown, Conn., did not occur. The Daily Mail reported that James Tracy, a tenured history professor at Florida Atlantic University, wrote this in a lengthy post on his personal blog. Tracy explores what he says is the possibility that the Newtown shooting may not have happened the way that it is widely believed, if it happened at all. The 47-year-old professor bases his claims largely on the flurry of conflicting media reports that were made as news of the shooting was released. The Daily Mail also reported that the school has distanced itself from the professor. “While it sounds outrageous, one is left to inquire whether the Sandy Hook shooting ever took place, at least in the way law enforcement authorities and the news media have described,” he says. On his blog, he hits a number of other conspiracy theories: September 11, the purview of the Department of Homeland Security, the PATRIOT Act, the death of Osama bin Laden and Fukishima. In his latest shocking claim, he focuses much of his attention on the fact that early reports claimed that police were either searching for or had two suspects in custody. The story then progressed that Ryan Lanza was the lone gunman, based reportedly on the identification that the shooter had on him at the time of the attack. Ryan, 24, was then found at his home in Hoboken, N.J. – two states away from where his 20-year-old brother Adam, the actual shooter, committed the atrocities. Police say Adam Lanza opened fire inside the Connecticut elementary school, killing 20 children and six adults. Police say Lanza then killed himself.
