Casper Smart is not living up to his surname, but we thank him. After months of speculation about whether Jennifer Lopez would really be returning as a judge on American Idol, her boy toy let the cat out of the bag . Casper was asked by E! News, during a chat about his new show A Step Away for nuvoTV, whether Lopez will be back on the panel for Season 13. Smart’s response? “Yes.” Apparently Smart thought that Fox had already announced this. No Casper, that was all you man. You may be in the doghouse, but much appreciated! The network did confirm earlier that it was wooing her , so it’s not exactly a huge surprise. They will offer her A LOT of money and flexible hours … win-win. “Returning to American Idol makes sense for Jennifer this season,” a source says. “as the show’s schedule will allow her to focus on new film and TV projects.” “And, of course, her twins are starting school this year.” An insider close to the discussions says that the deal is not closed yet, as Fox has not released a statement … but it looks like it’s in the cards. Assuming Casper Smart is not wrong, J. Lo will join returning judge Keith Urban, who delighted audiences in Season 12 as a fun-loving yet fair mentor. Teresa Giudice may be going through some major financial and legal problems with husband Joe, but don’t expect her to stop working anytime soon. That wouldn’t be setting a good example for her kids, after all. Teresa Giudice Interview: “Setting Example” For Kids “I’m not going to stop working. Now I’m in it and I’m going to work until who knows when,” the reality star told Entertainment Tonight this week. “The good thing about working [is] it’s a good example to show to my daughters. Mommy’s a businesswoman, and hopefully they’ll follow in my footsteps.” Teresa Giudice , 41, and embattled husband Joe, 43, are parents to four young daughters: Gia, 13, Gabriella, 10, Milania, 7, and Audriana, 3. The Real Housewives of New Jersey firebrand says her cookbook signing was scheduled long in advance, and she didn’t feel a need to reschedule Wednesday. When she pleaded not guilty to federal fraud charges , that is. “It was so weird,” she said. “When I heard my court date was August 14, I was like gosh, I know I have something on August 14 … and it was my book signing.” “Of course I wasn’t going to cancel, there’s no need to cancel .” Hours earlier, Joe and Teresa pleaded not guilty to a 39-count indictment that includes everything from mail and wire fraud to bank and bankruptcy fraud. “They vehemently deny guilt,” Joe’s lawyer, Miles Feinstein, said. “There’s an assumption of innocence and they vehemently assert their innocence.” “We have told them to continue life as they’ve lived it,” the Newark Star-Ledger quotes him as saying. “They have a family, they have to support themselves.” “They shouldn’t imprison themselves at this time.” If found guilty of the charges, the couple could face more than 50 years in prison, and Joe could take the fall in some kind of plea deal, insiders say. Non-U.S. citizen Joe could also be deported, of course, but most likely nothing will happen until the duo returns to court for a pre-trial hearing October 3.

Tamar on daytime television? Get ready.com….. Tamar Braxton, Adrienne Bailon, Tamera Mowry To Host Daytime Talk Show Daytime television is about to get a lot more interesting. Following the in the footsteps of shows like “The View” and “The Talk,” actress Tamera Mowry will join music industry/reality tv gals Tamar Braxton and Adrienne Bailon in hosting a new daytime talk show to reportedly be called “The Real.” via Deadline A new panel talk show with female hosts is entering the daytime space. A syndicated talker hosted by actress-singer Tamera Mowry, singer Tamar Braxton, singer-actress Adrienne Bailon, TV personality Jeannie Mai and comedian Loni Love will be getting a summer trial run on some of the Fox-owned stations. The exact markets and time periods are still being worked out but I hear the show, produced by Telepictures, is eyeing a July 8 launch. Titled The Real, the talker is said to be in the vein of The View and The Talk, but with a younger and entirely ethnic panel. (All five hosts are under 40.) We think it’s awesome to see a panel full of minority women snagging a daytime telvision talk show spot and with Tamar leading the pack who knows what to expect.
