Source: Kevin Mazur / Getty Drake Responds To Be Called A Culture Vulture It’s no secret that Drake loves adapting to different cultures, their music, and most prominently, their accents. More specifically, the rapper really loves him some U.K. and they seem to love them some him, for the most part–but the feeling isn’t always mutual. Drizzy has been on his Assassination Vacation Tour for the past couple months and recently had to address an incident where a local artist called the Canadian a culture vulture. While the rapper has brought out popular British artists like J Hus, Krept & Konan and Dave throughout his different tour stops, some other U.K. artists still haven’t been feeling how Drake has been operating overseas. One U.K. grime rapper specifically, who goes by the name of Wiley, personally called Drake out on Twitter last week. Aubrey sat down with Tiffany Calvar of BBC’s 1Xtra Rap Show on Saturday and addressed Wiley’s comments, along with anyone else who might think he’s a culture vulture. “I hate that people think that, like, me being into music from these kids who are trying to make it and trying to build a name for themselves, it’s like, ‘Oh, that’s some culture vulture.’ What does that even mean?” The rapper questioned. “I don’t understand what that means. Would you rather me not acknowledge anything or support? That’s some real confused hater s**t. It is what it is. I see it a lot. I’ll never understand how supporting someone’s song or going a step further and giving someone a song, linking up, I’ll never understand how that’s not viewed as something admirable.” He continued, calling out the grime rapper by name: “It was Wiley that said that. I just said his name cause I felt like that was some goofy s**t. But yeah, I just didn’t like that. Like what are you talking about?” During the interview, Drake also addressed those people who say he has a fake accent. “It’s actually funny because I think when I first came in the industry, I think I felt this pressure to, ‘Be American’ and sound American,” he explained. “I think now that we are all so proud to be from Toronto, we start talking more like how we talk.” Wiley ended up responding to Drake’s call out on his social media pages, posting a clip of the interview on Instagram and calling the rapper “goofy.” View this post on Instagram @champagnepapi #GoofyYeah If what I was saying was wrong you would of stayed silent A post shared by Wiley (@wiley__) on Apr 13, 2019 at 10:57pm PDT

The Talk Hosts Discuss Wendy Williams Divorce Wendy Williams’ divorce news was a huge topic of discussion for so many people, and the hosts of CBS “The Talk” definitely had things to say. “I think if everything that’s alleged is true, it’s about damn time. And we are very happy. And we all want to love and support her, but you can’t support someone that is in denial… everything is not fine,” Sheryl Underwood says. “Wendy can now live her true, best life. She is free. I hope that this changes her spirit, that instead of downing people, she’s gonna uplift people, especially women.” Eve adds, “This is part of her road to recovery, and I’m so happy that she is now getting out of it. There were reports that he was also abusive to her… but this is going to help other women as well…” Sharon Osbourne shares, “You can only back someone if it’s their decision…And hope he doesn’t take half the kingdom.” Sara Gilbert says, “I think this is probably one of those circumstances where you want something because you have no other choice at some point, right? But if your husband really has a mistress and there is a baby, it forces your hand… We wish her the best.” They all raised some great points. Source: JohnnyGreig / Getty His “Old Town Road” Hit Tops The Hot 100 Chart Yeehaaw!! The boot-sliding, knee-slapping tune that’s bumping in parlors and low-riders everywhere has finally taken over the charts. According to Billboard , Lil Nas X ‘s “Old Town Road” hit No. 1 on the Hot 100 chart, giddying on up from its previous No. 15 spot. The viral hit’s success comes just in time for Lil Nas’ 20th birthday, which is August 9. The young gunner joins people like Cardi B for having his initial Hot 100 entry top the charts with no featured guests. Cardi once did this with her smash “Bodak Yellow (Money Moves)” in October 2017. “Road” also hit the No. 1 spot on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart and the Hot Rap Songs chart, jumping from No. 7 on each list. There’s nowhere to go but up for the country trap treasure since the “Old Town Road” remix was released last week and is also expected to do numbers. Both the remix and original version will count towards the song’s singular placement on the charts. So fasten your saddles and giddy up pardners! The yeehaw agenda is just getting started! Hopefully, the backwards Billboard will take notice and change accordingly.
