Gloria and Matt open up about life before they eloped in Sin City , having more kids and her beefs with Evelyn Lozada and Jackie Christie This week’s cover story for Rolling Out Magazine is newlyweds Matt Barnes and Gloria Govan. The couple chatted shortly before their secret wedding in Vegas and they detailed their rocky relationship, 8 month break-up from each other and possible plans for a baby. Gloria Govan On Her 8-Month Break From Matt: “I grew so much over those eight months. Now I have to be like, ‘Uh uh, I know I used to like that because you liked it but I said all that to be cute for you! I don’t like eggs mother—!’” “So now he’s really getting to now me. That’s fun.” On Marrying Matt: “It’s not that we’re not interested; it’s just not now,” says a pre-wedding Govan. “I don’t think it’ll be what people are expecting. I’ll probably be like ‘hey, I got married girl,’ wanna come to the party? I’ll probably send out a flyer for the party.” On A Non Traditional Wedding: “Matt’s a traditionalist so he’ll want a big wedding. Which I would do [for him], but it won’t be like a Kim Kardashian wedding. It’ll be like, ‘you want some barbecue?’ I’ll take cereal. Marriage is something I want to do it’s just not on my number one priority list.” On The Possibility Of Another Baby: “Maybe, don’t tell him I said this…maybe another baby. If it was up to him… (rolls eyes)…I get baby fever and then I see a baby and I’m like ‘awww’ and then they start crying and I’m like, ‘Yeah! I don’t have anymore!’” On Previously Saying She’d Like To Slap Evelyn Lozada: “Absolutely [I stick by that.] My feelings are what they are to Evelyn, I don’t like to kick anyone while they’re down but…I think they’re a cute couple I honestly do [Chad and Evelyn] and I know Chad really loves her. Mainly I hope they keep people out of their relationship. That’s what I’ve had to do.” On Jackie Christie: “Jackie Christie has a mouth piece on her, she’ll make a paraplegic feel bad for her. The way way she kind of suckers you in with her words; she’ll give you so many compliments to the point that you’re like ‘damn, okay!’ [extends arms] Give me a hug girl! She’s someone you have to accept, she’s like a beauty mark or a birthmark. It’s like ‘damn that sh— terrible, but it’s there. You work around it.” Congratulations to the happy couple but we don’t think Glo is really bout that life. She may run LA but she still got ran outta Miami. Image Via: Rolling Out Source
WHAT IN THE ENTIRE HELL ?!?! A woman allegedly gave birth to a horse like creature, otherwise known as a baby horse, on Tuesday, at the World Liberation Ministry in Nigeria: The strange creature, which threw the church members into panic, had died by the time journalists visited the church following the strange occurrence. The identity of the woman was yet to be known but some church members said she started screaming during the prayer session and began bleeding from her private part just before the foal-like creature emerged. General Overseer of the church, Evangelist Silva Wealth, said he was still shocked by what came out of the woman’s womb. He said during prayers he had a revelation that there was a woman with an issue and that something was blocking her womb. According to him, as prayers intensified, the woman started screaming and began to bleed and eventually gave birth to the creature. Evangelist Wealth said he could not confirm whether the creature was dead or alive because he did not go near it. “I can’t describe the object. We have seen people vomit several things during our service but not this type of thing. God has been blessing our ministry with prophecies and miracles,” he added. . WTF!?!?!? We have so many questions: Is Mr.Ed putting in work like that? Does the devil know it’s a lie? What that horse peen do though? Where is Jesus and why did he NOT take the wheel? Are horse babies hot in the streets??? Ladies, the next time a man says he’s bigger than a horse, run! Source Nigerian Tribune
Better not even think about “putting a smile on your face”… The Garden State doesn’t want any more grins from citizens on their Driver’s License mugs…even if they are happy to be living in Jersey. According to the Daily News: “Your picture means a lot; it’s who you are,” said McNeil, 38, of Sicklerville, N.J. So, when the manager of the Motor Vehicle Commission office in Cherry Hill told her Tuesday that she wasn’t allowed to smile for her driver’s-license picture, she balked – and left, saying that the office’s staff couldn’t adequately explain the smile ban. “Why should we all look like androids, looking mopey? I know there are some people who don’t have good driver’s licenses, but I actually keep all mine,” said McNeil, whose pleasantly smiling image adorns old licenses from the six states in which she’s lived, as well as her debit and credit cards. Turns out, the state really does prefer that its six million drivers scowl rather than smile for the camera. Cue the New Jersey jokes. In January, New Jersey launched new face-recognition software that forbids license applicants from smiling widely or making other exaggerated facial expressions that might confuse the computer. The goal is to catch fraudsters. If a new photo, for example, matches an old one that carries a different name, a red flag goes up, and investigators step in. “That could be someone trying to steal someone else’s identity to get insurance benefits, or someone trying to get out of a DUI by getting a license under another name,” said Mike Horan, spokesman for the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission. “This helps us weed out fraud.” If facial expressions vary greatly in photos of the same person, the software could incorrectly signal a problem, Horan said. Slight smiles are OK. “Hey-I-won-the-lottery-type smiles” are not, Horan said. “To get an accurate photo, you don’t want an excessively expressive face in the photo.” Pennsylvania and Delaware use the software, too. But “smile/no-smile is not a problem,” said Jan McKnight, a Pennsylvania Department of Transportation spokeswoman. “You can smile in Pennsylvania.” Most states use the face-recognition technology – and some even require fingerprints, according to the American Association of Motor Vehicle Administrators. We all know how difficult it is to get a decent pic on your license and this seems like it may be even harder now. Image via twitter
Britney just can’t get right… Britney Spears Said To Be Neglecting Her Kids For Work And Romance According to the National Enquirer : Britney Spears has put motherhood on the back burner as she juggles her new TV career and her love life. In fact, a source says that she’s spent so lettle time with sonds Sean, 7, and Jayden, 6, recently that wehn they see her on TV, they call her “Britney” instead on “Mommy!” Damn, tough crowd. The 30-year-old pop princess had a whirlwind summer jetting around the country to film auditions for her first season on “The X Factor,” which premiered Sept. 12. But instead of seeing her kids during her downtime, Britney has been enjoying romantic dinners and weekend getaways with her fiance, Jason trawick , a close source revealed. He must be chopping Brit-Brit’s flabby mommy cakes juice box down to smithereens! “Its as if she’s tired of being a mom because she’s so caught up in her new-found TV stardom,” the source explained. “She’s losing touch with those kids.” Although “K-Fraud” Federline has full custody of the kids, it’s said that Britney has been blowing off her usual visits. “…Britney has been turning down her scheduled visits,” the source continued “She says she’s too tired or too stressed. It’s shameful!” According to the source the last time Britney saw Sean and Jayden was in mid-July. The snitch goes on to say: “These days, Britney’s kids are more comfortable being around their Grandma Lynne than they are with Britney. Lynne has taken on the role of mommy for the boys.” Britney likes her new life with Jason,” the source added. “She seems to be forgetting what’s really important.” Get it together Britney, you little country-fried, barefoot, beyotch! Way to spin your struggles growing up so you could seem “relatable” to the rest of Black America. This b*tch just got put on blast! Like many of her fellow Repubs, Mia is opposed to “anchor babies” (a racist way to say “immigrants having children in order to stay in the country”). Turns out, Mia was an “anchor baby” herself…and the Mormon follower just got her azz fact checked after her RNC speech spit all that talk. We quoted Mia’s shady azz when she gave her speech at the RNC earlier this month… The speech, which drew sustained applause, combined her family’s journey to the U.S. with references to civil-rights icons Rosa Parks and Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.‘Our story has been told over 200 years,’ she told the adoring crowd. ‘With small steps and giant leaps, from a woman on a bus to a man with a dream.’ ‘My parents immigrated to the U.S. with $10 in their pocket, believing that the America they had heard about really did exist. ‘When times got tough they didn’t look to Washington, they looked within…‘The America I grew up knowing was centered in self-reliance and filled with the possibilities of living the American dream.’ She claimed President Obama was dividing the country – ‘pitting us against each other based on our income level, gender and social status.’ ‘His policies have failed,’ she continued. ‘We are not better off than we were four years ago, and no rhetoric, bumper sticker or Hollywood campaign ad can change that. ‘Mr. President, I am here to tell you we are not buying what you are selling in 2012.’ And according to Mother Jones , Mia’s story doesn’t make a lot of sense: When she spoke at the Republican National Convention last month, Mia Love, a GOP rising star who’s vying to become the first black Republican woman elected to the House, wowed delegates with her parents’ up-by-their-bootstraps tale. She said their story of coming to America from Haiti with $10 in their pockets formed the basis for her own belief in self-reliance and her staunch opposition to government handouts…Though a child of immigrants, Love has embraced much of her party’s tough stance on immigration. She has implied that she would back deporting the US-born children of illegal immigrants so as not to reward “bad behavior.” Yet by Love’s own account, she is what Republicans derisively call an “anchor baby”— someone born to immigrant parents specifically to game the immigration system and secure legal status for family members. Love doesn’t talk about this aspect of her family’s immigration story now that she’s running for Congress, but she once said in a little-noticed interview that her birth on US soil helped bring her siblings to America. In January 2011, Love told the Deseret News that her parents, Jean Maxime and Marie Bourdeau, came to New York in the 1970s, fleeing poverty and looking for a better life. Love said that her parents immigrated legally, but were forced to leave their two young children behind in Haiti because their visa didn’t allow them to bring the kids. But, writes the Deseret News: There was an immigration law in place, however, that would grant the entire family citizenship if Jean Maxine and Mary had a baby in America. But there was a deadline. The law was set to expire on Jan. 1, 1976. On Dec. 6, 1975, with 25 days to spare, Mia was born in a Brooklyn hospital. In no time, her older brother and sister were sent for in Haiti and the family was re-united. Says Mia: “My parents have always told me I was a miracle and our family’s ticket to America.” It’s an uplifting story, but there’s one problem with this account. According to immigration lawyers and US immigration officials, there doesn’t appear to have been a law of the kind described in the article that would have conferred citizenship on Love’s parents, let alone her siblings, by simply having a baby in the United States. Though American immigration law did change in 1976, it merely limited the number of immigrants from the Western Hemisphere who could obtain permanent visas. According to the US Citizenship and Immigration Services, the law since at least 1924 has barred minor children from petitioning for permanent residence status on their parents’ behalf. Love’s birth in the US couldn’t have helped to reunite her family in America, say immigration lawyers contacted by Mother Jones. And, they add, if the Bourdeaus were in the US legally on a permanent visa, they would have been able to bring the kids, according to the law at the time. In case you’re still wondering if this is really a black woman speaking…check out her shady stances on public funding: -Proposes eliminating the federally subsidized school lunch program and the funding that supports special education in public schools. -Wants to cut the Earned Income Tax Credit in half…keeping millions of working people out of poverty. -Pushing to radically slash housing subsidies that keeps millions of poor people off the streets. Luckily, Mia is trailing behind her opponent by double-digits but her ties to the right are scary. The GOP has given her major funding; $1 million towards the race and Vice Presidential nominee Rep. Paul Ryan (R-Wisc.), House Majority Leader John Boehner (R-Ohio), Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.), and former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice have all held fundraisers for this sellout. Ann Romney offered up an endorsement and her son, Josh Romney, is the chairman of Mia’s campaign. SMH…this broad takes selling out to a whole other level! Images via AP/facebook

There is poetic justice in this world… Former president Jimmy Carter’s grandson helped leak video of Mitt Romney at a private fundraiser to Mother Jones Magazine and has set of a fire storm for the Presidential hopeful: James Carter IV helped connect Mother Jones reporter David Corn with video of Romney at a fundraiser saying, among other things, that it is not his “job” to win over the 47 percent of voters committed to President Obama, because they are “dependent on government” and he will “never convince them they should take personal responsibility and care for their lives.” “Any time that you can find a clip that strengthens the narrative already established, that’s what becomes a big deal,” Carter told Daily Intel. “I’ve been trying to get paid for this but it hasn’t worked out yet. This might help.” Carter told NBC News that after he sent the Mother Jones article to his grandfather, the former president responded warmly, writing: “James: This is extraordinary. Congratulations! Papa.” Carter also told NBC that Romney’s criticism of his grandfather bothered him, providing extra motivation to release the videos. “It gets under my skin — mostly the weakness on the foreign policy stuff,” Carter said. “I just think it’s ridiculous. I don’t like criticism of my family.” After years of Carter bashing at the hands of Mitt Romney, the grandson finally takes his revenge. You know what they say, revenge is a dish best served cold and via Youtube! Source

Study Claims Single People Hit Harder By Unemployment Than Married Couples A recent research study conducted by a Johns Hopkins economist has found that single people have taken a harder hit in regards to the steady rise in unemployment in recent years. According to a paper presented recently at a major macroeconomics conference by Johns Hopkins economist Robert Moffitt, the rising unemployment that characterized the Great Recession actually started much earlier, in the year 2000. Until then, women’s employment in particular had been steadily rising — but after about 2000 it began to level out, and single women’s employment began a marked decline. Between 1999 and 2007, Moffitt writes, married women’s employment fell by about 0.3%, while the figure for single women dropped by 2.9%, or almost ten times as much (unmarried men also lost more jobs than married ones, but the difference was far smaller). Moffitt isn’t sure what caused the drop — he writes that some of the decline in employment among men between 1999 and 2007 can be explained by known factors like changes in non-labor income (from sources like Social Security), but these factors don’t explain the drop among single women at all. He closes his report with a call for further study. Regardless of causes, though, the effects of unemployment on unmarried women can be severe. They’re more likely to live in poverty, and they don’t have a spouse’s health insurance to rely on if they lose theirs. The fact that they’ve been disproportionately hard-hit for over a decade challenges the currently-popular argument that women are on the way to economic dominance. And it suggests that politicians whose focus of late has been trained on wives and mothers should consider the problems faced by women who are neither. Do you think there’s any truth to these research findings? Source Image via Shutterstock
