Just when we thought he was down with the brown Olympic gold medalist Ryan Lochte is said to be so embarrassed by his relationship with Love & Hip-Hop ATL’s K. Michelle, that he is trying to keep it under wraps for as long as possible. We reported earlier this week that the reality star was dating the swimmer , whom she has been friends with for several years, but sources have now come forward to say he is questioning their romance as she is too “ghetto” for him and could damage his public image. “K Michelle is real hood . . . that’s not the image he wants to portray. Besides it’s never good for a handsome man to tell people that he has a girlfriend,” an insider told sources. Despite Ryan’s mother recently saying the athlete was too busy for a relationship, the video clip below shows K. Slim Thug Book “How To Survive In A Recession” Includes A Chapter Supporting Abortion We’re not saying rappers aren’t allowed to take a crack at social commentary, but let’s face it — this isn’t Slim Thug’s strong suit. Slim stopped by 97.9 in his hometown of Houston to discuss his latest project — a book called “How To Survive In A Recession.” The book — which consults a grand total of 0 financial experts, draws on Slim’s personal experience as a person who is “cheap.” And along with all his thoughts on how to save up, he also has a full chapter devoted to the topic of “Abortion.” When H-town radio host JJ asked him what that chapter had to do with everything else in the book he said “I think abortions is necessary on some occasions.” Here’s the quote that has been floating around from the book: People are against abortion, but I think it ain’t good to have a baby and not be with the father. My mother, she took care of me but she worked 7 days a week, 12 hours a day and I seen how much of a struggle it was. It was so hard coming up, I don’t even know who my daddy is….So, I don’t like that. A kid deserves both parents in the home, so if you ain’t gon be with somebody i don’t think you need to have a kid with them….even though I got 3 baby mommas.. (laughs)….it ain’t easy and it ain’t right …but we good. The book also includes quotes from Slim Thug saying: “I ain’t saying wait 3 or 4 months. If it’s immediate, it’s like birth control to me.” While we agree that it’s preferable to raise a child with both of his and her parents, do you think Slim’s comments could be taken to mean that women who don’t have a partner should not be parents and should look to abortion as a means to handle any and all unwanted pregnancies? Do you have a problem with what Slim Thug is saying or do you agree with him? And how should his kids feel about his opinion since he’s not with their mothers? GOP ‘Voter ID Law’ Will Make It More Difficult For Minorities To Vote In PA The GOP is at it again . This time, they’ve put a new state law in place in Pennsylvania requiring residents to present in-state identification to vote. But PA lawmakers feel that the law will make it more difficult for minority residents to vote……most of whom will be voting democrat in the upcoming presidential election. An election official in Pennsylvania has said that he will not enforce the state’s voter I.D. law. Christopher Broach, a Democrat from Colwyn, Penn. told the Philadelphia Inquirer that he would continue to honor the state’s old voting rules. “I am taking the stand against the new Republican voter law and hoping that anyone nationally whom has been elected to an office with the title of judge will do just that,” Broach said. Supporters of the law, whose fate will be decided in a closely watched state court case, say that is necessary to prevent voter fraud. But the state’s attorneys recently stipulated that there was no evidence of in-person voter fraud in the area, and the state had never prosecuted anyone for in-person voter fraud. Critics of the law, passed by the state’s Republican-controlled legislature, say that it will disenfranchise groups that are more likely not to have official state identification, like college students, African Americans and Latinos — groups that are inclined to vote for Democrats. Idaho Billboard Compares President Obama To Aurora Gunman So this is how they feel in Idaho? “Offensive.” “Abhorrent.” “Pathetic.” Words like that are being used to describe a billboard in Caldwell, Idaho, that compares President Barack Obama — unfavorably — to James Eagan Holmes, the suspect in the shooting deaths of 12 people in a Colorado movie theater last week. The sign features photos of Holmes and Obama side by side. Of Holmes, it says: “Kills 12 in a movie theater with assault rifle, everyone freaks out.” Of Obama, it says: “Kills thousands with foreign policy, wins Nobel Peace Prize.” The electronic billboard often blares anti-Obama messages, but this one struck people as especially insensitive. It’s the work of supporters of the late Ralph Smeed, for many years a lightning-rod activist for libertarian causes in Idaho, The Idaho Statesman of Boise reported. “This billboard is offensive to all those lives lost and affected by the shooting,” wrote a commenter on the Facebook page of KBOI-TV of Boise, which first reported the story. “Just pathetic, even if this is their expression of the 1st amendment.” Regardless of your political party affiliation, this just seems highly insensitive. A famous family in crisis Katherine Jackson has been temporarily stripped of her guardianship over Michael Jackson’s 3 kids, and an L.A. judge just appointed Tito Jackson’s son TJ to become the temporary guardian. Via TMZ reports : And there’s more … Judge Mitch Beckloff advised TJ and his lawyer, Charles Shultz, to seek a permanent guardianship, after hearing stories that Katherine may have been held against her will “from third parties.” Translation — Randy, Janet, Jermaine and Rebbie. Before handing down the ruling, TJ’s lawyer told the judge TJ got a strange phone call from Katherine yesterday. TJ said, “I’ve never heard my grandmother talk like that.” TJ added, “She wasn’t sharp. The pauses, choice of vocabulary … she has not used certain phrases like that before.” TJ thought she was talking in code. TJ choked up as he addressed the court. TMZ broke the story that TJ would make this move — a move supported by Paris, Prince, and Blanket, as well as the Michael Jackson Estate. That strange call from Katherine may have been due to her being under the influence of more than just her emotions: Katherine Jackson called her home in Calabasas at 2 AM today and again at 4 AM, sounding “drugged” and ordering that the security team be fired and replaced by Janet Jackson’s security … TMZ has learned. A lawyer in court today made reference to “an incident” last night — this is the incident. Sources involved in the situation tell TMZ … people in the house were “alarmed and nervous” after hearing Katherine sounding heavily drugged. Our sources say the prevailing view is that Randy and company have drugged their mom. What in the world?! First Katherine is reported missing then it seems like all hell has broken lose within this family . Michael has to be rolling in his grave to fathom his children, mother and siblings are warring like this. What is going on with the Jackson family???
