Once a dirty dog, always a dirty dog. Antwaun Cook might have some ‘splaining to do. Obviously, we came to know him from being Fantasia’s still-married boyfriend and baby’s daddy. Now, Mr. Cook has moved on to another unsuspecting personality, Kendra James from Oxygen’s Bad Girls Club season 4 (the season which starred Natalie Nunn). Kendra took to Instagram to post a pic of herself and a very familiar face to those of us who have been keeping up with the Fantasia saga. After fans started to ask Kendra if that was indeed Antwaun, she deleted the link. Another picture was posted of Kendra and two young men, which later was confirmed to be a couple of Cook’s frat brothers. To make things even more suspicious, when Ant joined Twitter, he pulled a Kanye and was only following one person, and it wasn’t Fantasia….or his estranged wife Paula. Poor Fanny! George Zimmerman will be allowed to post bond for a second time as he awaits trial on a second-degree murder charge in the shooting death of Miami Gardens teen Trayvon Martin , a judge ruled Thursday. In a written ruling, Circuit Judge Kenneth Lester set Zimmerman’s bond at $1 million. Lester revoked Zimmerman’s $150,000 bond last month after prosecutors said he and his wife misled them about his finances during an April bond hearing. Zimmerman and his wife, Shellie, had raised around $135,000 at the time of the April hearing, prosecutors said. Prosecutors said the couple talked in code while discussing the money in conversations recorded while Zimmerman was in jail. “They used code, they used other words other than ’9,000 dollars’ to make sure that whoever was listening wasn’t aware of what was going on,” prosecutor Bernie de la Rionda said during a bond hearing last week. “Why was that done? It was done to hide the money, so that they could deceive the court, lie to the court.” Shellie Zimmerman was arrested on a perjury charge and later bonded out of jail. Zimmerman, 28, was arrested and charged in April in the shooting of Martin, 17, on Feb. 26 in a gated community in Sanford. Zimmerman has pleaded not guilty and claims the shooting was self-defense. ..And in that order! Soulja Boy has defended his new girlfriend Diamond against comments made by her ex-boyfriend Lil Scrappy. Soulja, who was accompanied by Diamond to the 2012 BET Awards last weekend, believes that Scrappy was coming at him in the media recently when talking about his failed relationship with the ex-Crime Mob member: “This is my baby, this is my girl, so anything said about her is basically they’re saying it about me,” Soulja told MTV. “I’m backin’ her 100 percent, and we’re just focusing on the positive. Anybody talkin’ about her name on TV, that’s just bringin’ us up more. So salute to them, we wish them the best.” While Scrappy did mention both Diamond and Soulja in a previous interview, he actually wished them the best of luck. Things began to heat up last year when it was revealed that Diamond was dating Soulja Boy. It’s unclear whether she cheated on Scrappy or if her relationship with the Soulja Boy came after, but whatever the case, Scrap feels slighted. Scrappy said he helped Diamond get her rap career on track, putting her needs before his own, and after their breakup, he felt used. Plus, with the news Scrappy’s mom, Mama Dee reportedly ran Diamond off the filming of Love & Hip Hop ATL as well as talking about her “hygiene issues” on the show, we’re sure her presence is not missed. Spanking Can Lead To Adult Mental Illness According To Study Do you spank your kids?? Childhood punishments such as spanking, slapping, and hitting – even in the absence of full-scale maltreatment – are associated with an increased risk of mental disorders in adulthood, researchers reported. Adults who reported such punishments in their childhood had a greater risk of mood disorders, anxiety disorders, alcohol and drug abuse dependence, and several personality disorders, according to Tracie Afifi, PhD, of the University of Manitoba in Winnipeg, and colleagues. Up to 7 percent of some adult disorders can be attributed to “harsh physical punishment” in childhood, Afifi and colleagues reported online in Pediatrics. The link between child abuse – both physical and sexual – and mental disorders in adulthood has long been established, the researchers noted. But studies of milder forms of punishment that had similar findings have been disputed as having “weaknesses in design, measurement, and analysis,” they added, including the lack of adjustment for confounding factors such as full-scale abuse. To try to overcome those limitations, Afifi and colleagues turned to the National Epidemiologic Survey on Alcohol and Related Conditions, which included a representative sample of civilian, non-institutionalized adults in the U.S. The second wave of the survey, conducted between 2004 and 2005, included 34,653 adults, 20 or older, and asked about current mental conditions, as well as the past incidence of physical punishments. After adjustment for sociodemographic factors and family dysfunction, harsh physical punishment was associated with an increased risk of most lifetime Axis I mental disorders. Specifically: – The risk of major depression was 41 percent higher; – The risk of mania was 93 percent higher; – The risk of any mood disorder was 49 percent higher; – The risk of any anxiety disorder was 36 percent higher; – The risk of any alcohol abuse or dependence was 59 percent higher; – The risk of any drug abuse or dependence was 53 percent higher. The findings “provide evidence that harsh physical punishment independent of child maltreatment is related to mental disorders,” Afifi and colleagues concluded. They cautioned that the study was cross-sectional, which precludes drawing any causal inferences. Moreover, they noted, the data was retrospective, which could introduce recall and reporting biases. Surprise dirtbag!!! It took a determined FBI agent and a mother in Utah seeking justice for her son to finally catch a pedophile who filmed one of the most widely distributed pieces of child pornography on the Internet before fleeing the country. Antonio Cardenas was sentenced last week to 35 years in prison on child sex abuse-related charges. Getting there, however, required good timing and a trap that was certain to lure Cardenas back to the United States: an invitation to a child’s surprise birthday party Cardenas, 32, first came into contact with the boy in 2004 as his mentor through Big Brother Big Sisters of Utah. The child’s family trusted Cardenas, inviting him on their outings and even allowing him to take the boy to Las Vegas. When Cardenas moved back to Mexico, he still kept in touch through emails and phone calls, The Tribune reported. Unbeknown to the family, the child was being preyed upon. Cardenas had raped him repeatedly and filmed the abuse, prosecutors said, with images and video of it spreading quickly online. The boy tried to tell his school that Cardenas had shown him dirty movies in 2008, but later recanted, The Tribune reported. In June 2009, the child films produced by Cardenas reached Ross’ attention and he began investigating. Identifying the child seemed impossible, although a computer forensics team was able to determine the abuse was taking place in Utah and Las Vegas because of clues in the video’s background. It wasn’t until that October when Ross said he caught a break: FBI agents investigating a child-film ring found a Missouri man who posted Cardenas’ films online, and he knew the name of the victim and who filmed the images, according to The Tribune. Ross tracked down the boy, who at that point was age 12, and learned the back story. He also knew that Cardenas had returned to Mexico. Ross was able to convince the mother of the boy to invite Cardenas to a fake surprise party in honor of her son’s birthday in January 2010. Cardenas even paid someone $2,500 to help smuggle him back into the United States so he could make the festivities, The Tribune reported. The agents nabbed him once he was in Utah and on his way to the family’s home. “We had him in custody thanks in large part to mom’s ability to keep her cool and play this script we had written out,” Ross told The Tribune. This sicko really was trying to get for his victim’s birthday party, now the only “fun” he’ll be having will be in in the clink. Source
