Surprise, surprise a fat, sick, pervert camp counselor, SMH… This head counselor — perched comfortably on a child’s playset in a photo posted on a Brooklyn day camp’s Web site — was named by prosecutors yesterday as a sexual deviant. Joseph Passof, a retired New York City schoolteacher known by the nickname “Uncle Joe,” is accused of molesting a 5-year-old boy in a bathroom last summer, authorities said. The counselor was slapped with a slew of sex-abuse charges for the heinous July assault, in which he allegedly sneaked up behind his young victim and attacked him in front of a 4-year-old camper. “That’s Uncle Joe, bad person,” the young witness told investigators when he was shown a photograph of Passof, police sources said. Bron Bron wasn’t the only Miami Heat who took advantage of all the money in L.A. during All-Star Weekend to raise awareness to a good cause . As a matter of fact, Dwayne Wade raised money for two kids causes out in Los Angeles. On Thursday, February 18, Dwyane hosted 50 female athletes from the Manual Arts High School to unveil a brand new basketball court that he refurbished through his foundation, the Wade’s World Foundation. He was joined by WNBA superstar Tina Thompson of the LA Sparks. A separate, larger gymnasium, reserved primarily for the male athletes, is currently undergoing its own renovations. To “level the playing field” Dwyane felt compelled to assist with an overhaul of the girl’s gym, which included the installation of new flooring, backboards, scoreboards, and lighting. Along with Frank Marshall of the Kennedy Marshall Company, Dwyane and his Wade’s World Foundation raised money for the local non-profit, MLA Partner Schools, an organization working to improve the education, health and social outcomes for thousands of youth in South L.A. The luncheon was emceed by actress and TV personality Sherri Shepherd and featured performances by John Legend. Guests in attendance included producer Jerry Bruckheimer, Russell Simmons, Alonzo Mourning, Jordin Sparks, Gabrielle Union, Fabolous, Mark Harmon, Michael Strahan, Shaun Robinson and NY Giants player Justin Tuck. This is sad: A south suburban teenager was routinely chained to a dryer and viciously beaten by his father and his father’s girlfriend with everything from bamboo scratchers to yardsticks to a broken ax handle, Cook County prosecutors allege. Hugo Dominguez, 38, of Glenwood, admitted he kept the 13-year-old boy captive in the laundry room most nights while he and his live-in girlfriend, Mary Ramirez, slept, authorities said. The couple routinely unchained the Brookwood Junior High School student in the morning and kept him in the garage before school, court records indicated. The boy told investigators that Dominguez and Ramirez, 38, often hit him with many objects, including wooden ax handles, yardsticks, bamboo scratchers, belts and rulers that had been taped together. Dominguez also recently stabbed his son with a knife, prosecutors said. Authorities began investigating the couple after school officials called to report the alleged abuse Tuesday. The teenager currently has a large laceration to his left elbow, bruising on a large portion of both arms and lash marks on his lower and middle back and lower legs, prosecutors said. Dominguez was ordered held in lieu of $250,000 bail Friday for aggravated domestic battery, according to state’s attorney’s office spokeswoman Tandra Simonton. Ramirez was ordered held in lieu of $100,000 bail for unlawful restraint.
