We all hoped that it would never come to this but unfortunately there will be a work stoppage this NFL season because the millionaires and the billionaires can’t get along. Now that the NFL Players Association has decided to decertify, here’s a road map of what might happen next. 1. The NFL will immediately file a grievance with the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) in an attempt to block the decertification. The NFL will argue that the NFLPA is acting in bad faith and that the NFLPA’s true goal is to get the NFL exposed to antitrust litigation as a way of grabbing owners’ money. 2. The NLRB takes no immediate action on the NFL’s grievance over the weekend as its offices will be closed. The NFLPA proceeds as if it has decertified. Monday comes along and the NLRB schedules a hearing, possibly for later in the week, to review the NFLPA’s decertification. 3. In addition to the NFL’s NLRB grievance, the NFLPA will file a request for a temporary restraining order with U.S. District Judge David Doty in an attempt to block the NFL from executing a lockout. The NFLPA, with Tom Brady and Peyton Manning as named plaintiffs, will argue that the lockout would violate players’ employment contracts with NFL teams and would constitute a group boycott under federal antitrust law, which it can now turn to since the NFLPA has decertified. Federal antitrust law is very threatening, as damages in a successful antitrust lawsuit are automatically multiplied by three. We have to side with players on this one. You can’t ask for a billion dollars and then not be willing to show a reason why you need it. Sh*t if you ask us for $50 we’re gonna wanna know why… Who’s side are you on, the players, the owners, or do you not give a damn and just want them to play?? Source
Bossip I have a topic for your “Sextra” post! I’ve been with my boyfriend for a little over a year and we have amazing sex. When we first started dating we talked about different things that turned us on and he talked about some of things that tuned us on and his thing was porn. He knows a lot of the female porn stars and all but it’s not my twist. When I was single I did watch porn occasionally when I need to handle my business but other than that I’m just not into it!! He always said he wanted to watch one with me to see what it did to me but I can bring myself to watch one with him because I feel like it’s going to take away from the intimacy we share and I don’t want to corrupt that with porn you know what I’m saying? Am I being to anal (no pun lol) or should I give it a try? I want to please him sexually but I feel like somethings are unnecessary. What would you do? Happy Friday to you, sis! Thank you for writing in and sharing your story! Okay, so you’re struggling with pushing some bedroom boundaries a bit, huh? Well, the thing about adult films and watching them as couple is the sense of escapism or voyeurism, as if the moment is being shared by more than just the two of you. So, no doubt, one could relate to the feeling of being somewhat violated or as if the intimacy is being shared by more than just you and your boyfriend! That’s a hard boundary to cross for many. If that’s what it takes to “please him sexually” then you may want to reconsider what you want out the your relationship versus what you’re getting. Like you mentioned in your letter, you watched pornography by yourself when you felt the urge to “handle your business” and the pornographic experience is different for everybody who chooses to indulge! Some watch it in secret and would never admit to anyone that they do, in fact, watch in the first place and, second, get aroused by it! Then you have those who are on the opposite end of spectrum – they might get off to porn on the regular basis, have no shame about it and would be willing to share some of the best performers, their specialties and what they’ve learned from them. Everyone else in between has their own feelings towards it and participate accordingly, whether it be at random out of curiosity or to pick up a few “techniques” or whenever you need a little visual stimulation to “handle your business!” Everyone is different and watches for different reasons! If your reason is limited to your private moments and that’s where you’d like to keep it, that is your choice. Sis, here’s the deal, you should only do what you are comfortable with and he shouldn’t pressure you to do anything you don’t want to do. If it’s something you don’t feel comfortable with, he should respect your wishes without question. If it’s something that you’re open to but not at this particular junction in your relationship, let it be known and tell him he’ll be the first to know once you warm up enough to the idea to try it. once again, it cannot be stresses enough, communication is key! So, if it’s a firm “no” let him know and don’t waver. If it’s something you’re willing to try in time but you need him to back off it a little, tell him! Be honest with yourself first, sis! Be honest with yourself! Best of luck to you! What do you think, Bossip fam? Please share your thoughts below! Have a wonderful weekend and please remember to email all topic suggestions, feedback and questions to loveandrelationships@bossip.com !
This has gotta be tough on the kid. It isn’t like he sexually assualted someone or committed a crime, just a lil hanky-panky with his girlfriend. Sticking to principles appears to carry a steep cost for the nation’s third-ranked college basketball team. A day after Brigham Young University dismissed center Brandon Davies from the team for violating the school’s strict honor code, the No. 3-ranked Cougars were throttled Wednesday by unranked New Mexico. “The honor code really reflects who we are as a university. It defines us and it does make us different,” BYU spokeswoman Carrie Jenkins told CNN affiliate KSTU-TV. Davies, a 6-9 sophomore from Provo, was the team’s top rebounder and third-leading scorer. He received the Cougars’ Academic Excellence award last season, according to an online profile. BYU had been gunning for a high seed in the upcoming NCAA Tournament, but the team’s fortunes took a tumble with Wednesday night’s 82-64 loss to New Mexico. University officials said Davies admitted violating the honor code at BYU, which is owned and operated by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, also known as the Mormon Church. The honor code requires all faculty, staff and students to: Be honest; Live a chaste and virtuous life; Obey the law and all campus policies; Use clean language; Respect others; Abstain from alcoholic beverages, tobacco, tea, coffee and substance abuse; Participate regularly in church services; Observe dress and grooming standards; Encourage others in their commitment to comply with the honor code. The code forbids homosexual behavior and bars members of the opposite sex from going beyond the lobby of the school’s single-sex dormitories. The dress and grooming standards forbid beards, tattoos and piercings for men and short or form-fitting clothes or bare feet in public for women. The university did not say which part of the code Davies violated, but it did say he had not committed a crime. Davies’ future as a student at BYU and his status for next season have yet to be determined. Ah c’mon give the kid a break! A lil poon-tang ain’t never hurt nobody (long as he wore a Jimmy!) Do you feel that BYU has a right to ask players not to have sex as a condition of playing for the team or going to the school??? Source
Here we go Apple Stan’s get your credit cards ready! Apple CEO Steve Jobs briefly emerged from his medical leave and walked on stage to standing ovation Wednesday to unveil the second generation of the popular iPad, which will go on sale March 11 in the U.S. Jobs looked frail as he appeared in his signature black mock turtleneck, blue jeans and wire-rimmed glasses. “We’ve been working on this product for a while, and I just didn’t want to miss today,” Jobs said. “Thank you for having me.” The next-generation tablet computer has a faster processor than the original iPad’s. As expected, it comes with two cameras for taking photos and video chatting. The battery life will be the same as the original — about 10 hours of usage and a month on standby. The iPad 2 is also thinner — 8.8 millimeters instead of the current 13.4 millimeters. “The new iPad 2 is actually thinner than your iPhone 4,” Jobs said. The original iPad, which burst onto the scene last April, was more popular than analysts imagined. Apple sold 15 million in nine months. The iPad was used for checking e-mail, surfing the Web, watching online video and other personal media tasks, but as the number of small applications designed just for iPad grew, the tablet made itself at home in offices, shops, restaurants and countless other professional and hobbyist settings. “The hits just keep on coming.”, “The rich get richer.”, etc, etc… Source
