Make That Money, Sis: Tiffany Haddish Snags Lead Role In Tyler Perry’s Upcoming Movie, ‘The List’

VALERIE MACON/AFP/Getty Image Tiffany Haddish To Star In New Tyler Perry Film Big moves are happening for our girl Tiffany Haddish . The  Girls’ Trip  comedic relief has officially been tapped to star alongside Tika Sumpter and Omari Hardwick in the upcoming Tyler Perry production titled,  The List . According to reports from  Deadline,  the film is on track to be released in November 2018, and the plot is described as: “When her wild sister (Haddish) gets released from prison and re-enters her life, Danica (Sumpter) is forced to accept that she may be getting “catfished” by an online boyfriend whom she has never met in person.” The List  is only one of Haddish’s many upcoming and in-development projects. The rising comedian is teaming up with Tracy Morgan in the TBS sitcom  The Last OG , and has a new movie with her longtime friend Kevin Hart scheduled to release later this year in September titled  Night School.  There were also rumors last month that Tiffany and Melissa McCarthy were very close to putting together a deal to star in  The Kitchen together–but there has been no further developments on the possible project. Whatever the case: you’re going to be seeing Haddish absolutely everywhere this year, and that probably won’t halt anytime soon. The List  is going to being released by Paramount Players. Along with this film, Haddish and Tyler Perry are also going to team up for the OWN series  If Loving You Is Wrong , a show the comedian previously appeared on back in 2014-2015.  It seems like we hear about another new project from Haddish every single day. Rick Ross Returns Home After Spending Four Days Rumored On Life Support

Rick Ross Released From Hospital It looks like Rick Ross is finally out of the woods regarding his health emergency. If you’ll recall, Ross was found unresponsive inside his Miami home last Thursday morning, reportedly nodding his head and “slobbering at the mouth.” He was rushed to a local hospital for suspected pneumonia , however, according to TMZ , it turned out tp be a heart-related issue. The rapper was placed in ICU and hooked up to an ECMO, a machine which essentially serves as “life support” by taking over all respiratory and heart functions. It’s also reported that his condition got so severe that he ended up being transferred to another hospital that could better address his issue. Several reports from Rick Ross’ camp and family say that the situation was nowhere near that severe… However, all is well that ends well. Rick Ross reportedly returned home in the early hours of Monday morning and is receiving continued care at his home. And judging by his most recent Instagram post… …he’s clearly not worried about it anymore. Hopefully, he’ll remain in good spirits and better health than he has been. Getty/Splash

No Charges Filed In Ulysses Wilkerson Case The family of an Alabama teen is reeling after a grand jury made a damning decision. As previously reported Ulysses Wilkerson, 17, was beaten bloody by Troy Police department authorities and his parents demanded answers. Wilkerson reportedly fled from police during a foot-chase and police admitted to using “physical force to subdude the teen” on December 23 after Wilkerson reportedly reached for his waistband. Now the four police officers who were investigated for their role in the encounter will not face criminal charges. AL.com reports that Circuit 4 District Attorney Michael Jackson and retired Tuscaloosa District Attorney Tommy Smith were appointed as special prosecutors to handle the case, which was investigated by the State Bureau of Investigation. Jackson told AL.com Thursday that a grand jury met this week in Pike County and declined to issue indictments against the Troy officers. “The grand jury determined they acted properly in their official capacity and no crime was committed,” Jackson said. “If they had found differently, we would have gone forward with the case.” This is extremely sad and unfortinately unsurpising. What makes it even more frustrating is that the NAACP was calling for the release of body cam footage that reportedly shows exactly what happened in this case. It looks like we may never get to see it…
