Source: Peter Dazeley / Getty North Georgia Landlord Evicts White Tenet For Having Too Many Black Guests Racism runs so deep for some people that they even have an issue with White kids playing with Black kids. One Georgia couple was evicted by their landlord back in December 2018 for allowing their kids to have African American guests. Victoria Sutton filed a housing discrimination suit against landlords Patricia and Allen McCoy who forced her to move out of her North Georgia home because she “had a N*****” on the property. According to the lawsuit, Sutton began inviting a black co-worker with a 5-year-old son to visit so their children could play. CNN reports : “After one of the playdates Allen McCoy knocked on her door and used racial slurs to refer to African Americans. He called her a “n***** lover,” the suit says, and threatened to call Child Protective Services over her having a “n***** on their property.” He told her she had two weeks to move out, adding that he’d previously evicted a woman who’d tried to let an African American person move in with her.” Just like most racists, McCoy denied the allegations, telling reporters he wasn’t prejudiced, “some of the best friends I got is colored.” Unfortunately, housing discrimination is nothing new. According to legal director Sean J. Young, filed the lawsuit on Sutton’s behalf, “Housing discrimination is one of the most pernicious forms of discrimination today. It contributes to inequality and can serve to limit the long-term dreams and aspirations of its victims. Where you live determines how you live.” The eviction dispute ended up in court in October 2018, when the judge ordered the couple to give Sutton at least 60 days to move. The woman moved out later that year.

So we were excited to learn that Jackson and Turner-Smith may soon be tying the knot. According to Daily Mail reports Joshua and Jodie were spotted getting what appeared to be a marriage license in Beverly Hills from a courthouse on Friday. Marriage licenses are valid for 90 days, so it’s looking likely they’ll be man and wife before her first film hits theaters. The couple, who have been dating since being introduced at Usher’s 40th birthday bash last fall aren’t immune to tabloid troubles. In June, US Weekly published photos of Jackson smooching a mystery woman he was dropping off at LAX. Clearly he’s been able to work things out with Jodie since then, we’re definitely hoping the relationship is in a healthy space before swirly matrimony-dom commences! Congrats to Josh and Jodie. The event was done in association with his Leading By Example Foundation, Amazon Music, Atlanta United, New Era, Puma, Momma Flystyle, and Antwanette McLaughlin of The Spice Group.More than 2,300 kids were given backpacks containing school supplies, uniforms, and sneakers. Free haircuts, health screenings, and other activities were also available to those who attended. On top of that, the rapper also donated $15,000 to the non-profit organization Juma to help them in their efforts to get youths to open up bank accounts and to help educate them in financial literacy. ANOTHER Christian-leaning rapper did, however. According to Billboard , rapper NF scored his second No. 1 album thanks to his release The Search. The project released on July 26, brought in the equivalent of 130,000 album units in the U.S. in the week ending in August 1. Chance’s The Big Day came in at number two with 108,000 equivalent album units earned. Eighty thousand of those streams were via streaming, making his release the most streamed of the week. The Bid Day is also Chance’s highest charting album yet. So Chance does have some wins this week. But considering the buzz he’s built over the years, it’s still surprising that he did’t take the number one spot. His second place might have been avoided with more promotion and single releases before the album dropped. Chance basically just made a random announcement on Jimmy Fallon and that’s how people knew about the album, although he did make mention of it as early as February . Anywho, Chance is still winning in a lot of ways and maybe the album might gain more steam in the coming weeks…if we can get a single, a music video, anything . We’ll keep you posted.
