Count It Up: J. Cole Blasted For Allegedly STIFFING Starving Artist Out Of Tour Merch Revenue

Source: Streeter Lecka / Getty Artist Sixmau Blasts J. Cole For Breaching Agreement Over Cover Art The artist that created the masterful cover art for J. Cole’s KOD album has a HUGE bone to pick with him after he says Jermaine stiffed his pockets. Sixmau aka Kamau Haroon blasted Cole for allegedly being misleading in their agreement. Kamau insists Cole never made it clear that he would be replicating the artwork for tour merchandise and scoring millions off of it, while he made zero merch bucks. Kamau wrote on Twitter over the incident: “I did all the creative direction for the KOD album and he told me my work was only going to be used for booklet art . Only to turn around and make merchandise illegally with my art behind my back and profit majorly off it while on tour. F-ck them.” I did all the creative direction for the KOD album and he told me my work was only going to be used for booklet art. Only to turn around and make merchandise illegally with my art behind my back and profit majorly off it while on tour. Fuck them. https://t.co/GpsKkBkmgO — six (@theykilledsix) May 8, 2019 THIS IS EXACTLY HOW HE IS ABLE TO EXPLOIT PEOPLE. HIS MESSAGE OF POSITIVITY MAKES THEM FEEL COMFORTABLE WHILE HE FINESSES THE MONEY BEHIND THEY BACK. https://t.co/fgixuVNWKe — six (@theykilledsix) May 8, 2019 Sixmau added that he was comfortable making a verbal agreement with Dreamville and J. Cole to license the art because his “message is of positivity.” To make matters even worse on his end, the painter claims he is on the verge of homelessness after having a trying year. Sixmau retweeted the following tweets, reinserting that he wasn’t compensated after his work was plastered over thousands of t-shirts and hoodies and he’s struggling financially. If y’all didn’t know J.Cole stole money out of the mouth of the artist @theykilledsix that painted his album cover. Cole used the artwork on tour merch without the artist’s permission. The original artist got no cut of the money made on merch. FOUL ASF. — Flex Luther (@gabreupp) May 8, 2019 All this shows me is not to do verbal agreements. I need it in writing. You cool with people and expect them to hold down their word smh but nah people will deadass take advantage. — Flex Luther (@gabreupp) May 8, 2019 View this post on Instagram just some lil doodles I been working on A post shared by @ sixmau on Apr 22, 2018 at 3:23pm PDT So far, J Cole has not responded to Kamau’s allegations against him. Kenya Moore Says She Endured 46 Years Of ‘Frog Kissing’ Before Finally Finding Her Handsome Hubby

Source: Paras Griffin/Getty Images / Getty Kenya Moore Speaks On RHOA, Phaedra Parks & Her Husband Real Housewives of Atlanta O.G. Kenya Moore really might be back on season 12 and she’s speaking yet again on the rumors. As previously reported Kenya was the catalyst for a Cynthia Bailey and NeNe Leakes’ blow up because NeNe couldn’t believe Cynthia “invited” Kenya without giving her a heads up. Now the peach chaos causer is speaking with Streetz 94.5’s Jazzy McBee on her possible return, NeNe’s nastiness and her new family. On NeNe: “You can come in in peace like I did in the last episode, I came to support Cynthia at her launch party. I was cordial with everyone, I didn’t come to be combative and start drama but yet look at the fallout that ensued. I knew I didn’t do anything wrong, I came to support my friend. That’s their issue, not mine.” On turning down RHOA season 11: “I wasn’t fired. How you gonna get fired if you have an offer on the table? Never. […] It was several reasons, things did not come together for me the way they should. I didn’t want to jeopardize my pregnancy, I was really high risk. Every time I went to the doctor it was like you’re biting your nails.” On returning to season 12: “That hasn’t been confirmed, as of now, that’s just a rumor.” On Phaedra Parks: “I don’t even wanna talk about ghosts, in my opinion, she’s been long gone.” On her husband Marc Daly: “46 years of frogs, I’m not saying I never had any good people in my life I just wasn’t ready at the time. Love takes timing, you have to be ready for that. I think that was always my issue. I met great guys in the beginning of my life and I said ‘Oh I could do better, Oh I’m not ready’ then it’s like, Wait a minute, where are the good guys?! Where are the nice guys?!’ So when I met my husband I wasn’t ready when I met him. I took 6 months to work on myself, be alone. […] When I felt in a good place I picked up the phone and called Chef Roble [who introduced them].” Watch Kenya Moore on Streetz 94.5 below.

Reign Wilburn: Future’s Alleged Seventh Seed Is Picture-Perfect Preciousness

Source: Prince Williams / ATLPics.Net Eliza Reign Posts First Pictures Of Baby Reign Wilburn The woman who claims her beautiful baby girl is Future’s is sharing sweet pics. As previously reported Eliza Reign claimed that Future was none too pleased that she was expecting and alleged that he wanted harm to come to her. Despite the challenging circumstances and shade from Future fans , Eliza’s since given birth to a child, a baby girl, and she’s absolutely precious. Eliza posted pics of little Reign Wilburn on IG and has since started an Instagram page for her. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Haitian Goddess (@elizareign_) on May 7, 2019 at 9:45am PDT Wilburn is, of course, Future’s last name. Rein would be Future’s seventh child. Future himself said he’d be open to having more kids —but wants boys. “Hendrix [his Joie Chavez child]  is number 6, all boys, one girl. Hendrix is the last—naw, naw Hendrix not the last. I gotta have more kids. […] “Me and my boys [sons] we’re like best friends, it’s unbelievable.” Eliza also wrote a lengthy post about how she felt alone during her pregnancy—until she felt her baby girl kick and reassure her. “There were times I felt so alone and would look down at my belly and immediately cheer up, knowing she’s hanging in there with me through all of the stress and drama,” wrote Eliza on IG. “She’s truly been my protection and kept me strong and going. There were moments I began to doubt myself, but my spirit wouldn’t stay down, thanks to my beautiful little girl. Her annoying kicks would always be the reassurance I needed to make it through the tough days. Knowing what I know now and after looking back on my experience, I can confidently say she was well worth all the chaos. […] I can’t stop crying tears of joy when I look at her. Thank God we made it ” View this post on Instagram This pregnancy was absolutely the toughest, most humbling, yet beautiful experience of my life. I went through hell and back. Health complications seemingly from day one. Lost friends, money, opportunities, and even some of the little bit of sanity I thought I had . However, this journey taught me to be more understanding, observant, forgiving, and most importantly PATIENT . There were times I felt so alone and would look down at my belly and immediately cheer up, knowing she’s hanging in there with me through all of the stress and drama. She’s truly been my protection and kept me strong and going. From the moment I decided to keep her, I promised myself and God that I’d show her unconditional love and teach her to be 3x the woman I am. And that’s a promise that will never be broken. I’m super excited and blessed to get a chance to love and guide this little one. I can’t stop crying tears of joy when I look at her. Thank God we made it A post shared by Haitian Goddess (@elizareign_) on May 1, 2019 at 5:33pm PDT Children are absolutely innocent. We wish Eliza and little Reign the best. #Moechella: D.C. Go-Go Protest Had Melanated Masses Busting It Wide Open Against FAKIN’ LIIIIKE Gentrifiers

Source: The Washington Post / Getty D.C. Go-Go Protest Dubbed Moechella Fights Gentrification In The City The D.C. gentrifiers were no doubt chocking on their newly-opened coffee shop scones when the glorious go-go community of the DMV took over 14th and U Street. According to News One , a Save Chocolate City Protest was organized outside the Reeves Center in Northwest D.C. and more than 3,000 people came out to beat their feet, keep it gangsta, or shout out their hood against gentrification. At the event dubbed “Moechella,” honoring the city’s “kill moe” slang, iconic go-go band Backyard Band (BYB) brought the tunes for the evening. LAST NITE IN D.C. !! #MoeChella #DontMuteDC pic.twitter.com/hHM76YcFR4 — DCTOP20 (@DCTOP20) May 8, 2019   The event acts as the most recent demonstration against gentrification. Things reached a fever pitch back in March when a Metro PCS store known for playing go-go music from their speakers was under attack by soup cookie complainers. The new residents of the Shaw neighborhood complained that the go-go tunes were disruptive. After threats of legal action, PCS’ parent company, T-Mobile, ordered an end to the go-go music coming from the store, which had been playing there for almost 25 years. An online petition was started to keep the store playing go-go music and eventually a #DontMuteDC campaign was started on social media. This resulted in the first huge protest outside the Reeves Center in April where the go-go band TOB and rapper Wale appeared. The chief executive of T-Mobile, John Legere , took notice of D.C.’s demands and he eventually tweeted out that the Metro PCS store could continue playing go-go music and they would negotiate volume levels. I’ve looked into this issue myself and the music should NOT stop in D.C.! @TMobile and @MetroByTMobile are proud to be part of the Shaw community – the music will go on and our dealer will work with the neighbors to compromise volume. https://t.co/qXvwzmc24E — John Legere (@JohnLegere) April 10, 2019   Now, it seems D.C. residents are continuing the fight against gentrification with the thousands of people showing up on Tuesday. Hit the flip for more crankin’ clips of the demonstration and the beauty of Black organizing, celebration and fighting back.

#JusticeForLucca: 100+ South Florida Residents March To Protest Police Brutality Against The 15-Year-Old

Source: Sun Sentinel / Getty Florida Residents March For #JusticeForLucca Delucca “Lucca” Rolle was pepper-sprayed, punched and had his head slammed against the pavement by Broward County police last month and the people in his hometown have not stopped fighting on his behalf and on behalf of millions of Black folks who have been abused by police. According to Sun-Sentinel , over one hundred people joined the 15-year-old to march for the criminal prosecution of the two officers who attacked him. The white sheriffs, Deputy Christopher Krickovich and Sgt. Greg LaCerra, have been suspended by Sheriff Greg Tony but that ain’t really good enough. “We will not stop until those officers are fired and charged,” Broward/Fort Lauderdale NAACP president Marsha Ellington said. “We will remember the choices [Tony] makes when it comes to justice for Lucca.” Yolanda Daley, a parent attending the rally, made a good point about the way the “justice system” handles these situations. “No one else should be able to do that and get away with it,” Daley said. “If a parent can’t do that, there’s no way that another human being can take my child and do them that way.” A parent is 100% going in prison for doing this to their child. Travon Martin’s mother was also on hand and had this to say: “Our children’s lives matter. No one seems to understand that but us,” Fulton said. “So we have to fight for our children.” We can only hope that a prosecutor sees this case a clear cut criminal act and treat it accordingly.
