A few hours later, Superintendent Eddie Johnson held a press conference where he laid out some of the police department’s findings and explained his frustration with what he calls a “concocted story”. Source: Scott Dudelson / Getty SZA & Kendrick Lamar Won’t Be Performing Oscar-Nominated “All The Stars” According to an exclusive report from Variety , Kendrick Lamar and SZA won’t be performing at The Oscars this year. Despite efforts from The Academy to secure the TDE labelmates for a performance of the their Oscar-nominated collaboration, “All the Stars” on the upcoming Oscars telecast. The reason for the two not performing their track from Black Panther Soundtrack , according to a source close to the situation, is both logistics and timing. Lamar was also noticeably absent from Grammys this year, after reports that he declined performing for that broadcast, as well. All four of the other nominated songs–“When a Cowboy Trades His Spurs for Wings” from “The Ballad of Buster Scruggs” (Gillian Welch and David Rowlings), “The Place Where Lost Things Go” from “Mary Poppins Returns” (Bette Midler and Marc Shaiman), “I’ll Fight” from “RBG” (Jennifer Hudson) and “Shallow” from “A Star Is Born” (Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper)–will be performed. A previous plan for The Oscars was reportedly to showcase only “All the Stars” and “Shallow,” but that was quickly changed in the face of backlash and nominee solidarity, also following a report from Variety about that plan. “All the Stars” was nominated for four Grammys this year, including nods for both record of the year and song of the year. “King’s Dead,” another one from the Black Panther Soundtrack , earned Kendrick Lamar and his partner Jay Rock a Grammy for best rap performance, while Ludwig Göransson’s original score won a Grammy for best score soundtrack for visual media. Even though their lack of performance has been confirmed, there’s still no word on whether or not Kendrick Lamar and/or SZA will be in attendance at the Oscars ceremony.

Both of the women say they were 16 the night they met R. Kelly at a concert in Baltimore. The night concluded with Kelly instructing his manager to bring them back to his hotel, when he entered the room with his penis out, allegedly. Kelly then allegedly tried to force a threesome while they were both under the influence of alcohol and marijuana. One of the women refused, both claimed to be scarred from the incident. Luckily for us, it’s starting to look like the rapper could have a lot of material left in the vault, and what’s even better–a big chunk of those tracks could be on an unreleased LP he reportedly recorded with superstar producer Madlib. In an interview with DJ Booth , producer Thelonious Martin revealed that Madlib told him about a full album that he and the late Pittsburgh performer recorded before his passing. “When we was working on ‘Guidelines,’ he was always excited about all these other songs. He had this Madlib album, called Maclib . I opened for Madlib in Chicago last summer, at Pitchfork. So I’m opening for Madlib, and about 15, 20 minutes left in my set, Madlib pulls up. Pete Rock walks up as well.” Martin continued, “So I’m trying to focus and DJ, and Madlib gets on and 15 minutes into his set he just randomly plays a Mac Miller joint. And I turn to him, I’m like, ‘There’s more of these, right?’ He’s said, ‘Oh, yeah, there’s a whole album. Maclib . ’ What! What! He just kept moving on with his DJ set. If Madlib decides to bless the world with that project, he should.” Any unreleased Mac Miller tunes–especially accompanied by some Madlib beats–would be a welcome release for fans hoping to hear something new from the rapper. His last album, Swimming, was released in 2018 and earned a nomination for Best Rap Album at the 2019 Grammy Awards.

Sandmann and his attorneys claim that the Washington Post defamed him and “targeted and bullied” him with their coverage by publishing “a series of false and defamatory print and online articles.” The Hil reports that in the suit, lawyers claim Sandmann was “targeted” because of Washington Post’s “biased agenda” towards Cheeto In Chief. “The suit says that the newspaper wanted to “lead the charge against this child because he was a pawn in its political war against its political adversary.” The Post has responded and says they plan “to mount a vigorous defense.” Sandmann is seeking $50 million in compensatory damages and $200 million in punitive damages for the “permanent harm to his reputation.” SMH, of couuuuurse Sandmann’s suing. Too bad other children who are “defamed” don’t have the resources this MAGA hat wearer does.
Source: Jose Luis Peleaez Inc / Getty Now, this is ridiculous… LSU Delta Kappa Epsilon Members Arrested For Hazing 9 members of Delta Kappa Epsilon fraternity have been arrested for heinously hazing pledges. The frat bros are being accused of several hazing-related crimes including ordering pledges to lie in piles of broken glass, kicking them with steel-toed boots and urinating on them. Delta Kappa Epsilon has also closed the chapter indefinitely. The New York Post reports that the alleged hazing included gasoline being poured on pledges, pledges being forced to submerge themselves in an ice machine wearing nothing but their underwear, pledges being beaten with metal pipes and fraternity members allegedly attempting to put out cigarettes on them. Citing a police report, the Post adds that one victim claimed that he was made to lie down on broken glass and was urinated on. He adds that a second pledge was also urinated on while he laid face down on the glass. One victim “stated that after he was taken out of the ice machine, he was made to lay in the nearby basketball court. He stated that the basketball court had broken glass all over it, which he was made to lie on top of,” the documents say. “The victim stated that another pledge was made to lie on the court next to him, face down while they were both sprayed with a hose, had milk crates thrown at them and were urinated on.” There’s also a report of a “new boy shower” where the pledges held a milk crate filled with ice and cayenne pepper above their heads while standing in a cold shower and looking up. The ice would then melt and the pepper would drip into their eyes. Those arrested have charges ranging from misdemeanor hazing to felony second-degree battery and false imprisonment. Police say that the victim was running around the loading zone and entered an unauthorized area before falling to his death. Authorities are ruling the death an accident. The ferris wheel is still open, but the zip line has been shut down. No further details have been released about the victim.
Source: Alan Schein Photography / Getty Home Depot Bomb Threat Was Just A Misunderstanding You really gotta watch what you say when you’re out in public, and this story proves just that…in the most ridiculous way possible. Police were called to a Home Depot in Wichita, Kansas after it was believed that a man was making a bomb threat while shopping in the home improvement store. The 911 audio was recently released by Sedgwick County Communications, in which the caller tells the operator that someone may have made a bomb threat, according to reports from KWCH . “We just had a customer here made what may have been a bomb threat,” the caller told the police. “He said, uh, somebody told me there’s a bomb in here and you need to leave the building. He said it three times.” Staff was alerted to the possible “bomb threat” after a person overheard the man talking in the store’s restroom. However, authorities learned later that the threat was actually just a euphemism used by a man who reeeeally had to use the bathroom. “You all need to get out of here because I’m fixin’ to blow it up,” is what the man allegedly said that tipped off fellow consumers. A fellow witness to the bomb about to be dropped in the bathroom believed it to be a joke and laughed at the man, while police were able to track the man down and clear up the serious misunderstanding. Apparently, this isn’t the first time an incident like has occurred before. Back in November, one man in New Orleans was arrested after he allegedly threatened to blow up Willie’s Chicken Shack, but claimed that he actually said he was going “blow the bathroom up” in the same way the Home Depot customer meant. Arthur Posey, the man in question, faced two charges of communicating false information of planned arson.
