Source: tirc83/Getty Images / Getty Andrew Johnson Wrestles After Dreadlock Cutting Controversy Andrew Johnson is back to wrestling after that national controversy surrounding his dreadlocks. As previously reported Andrew’s hair was snipped on the sidelines of a match in December as ordered by racist ref Alan Maloney. Maloney was then suspended indefinitely and banned from working in the district where the match was. Now Andrew’s returned to wrestling 16 days later. NewJersey.com reports that Andrew, unfortunately, lost his first bout to state qualifier Jaden Hinton who opened the eight-team tournament on Saturday. Andrew wrestled without a hair cover, which is what was suggested instead of cutting his dreadlocks. His family previously said that he wanted to return to regular “life.” His parents Charles and Rosa Johnson are still considering legal action and said via an attorney that Referee Maloney’s behavior “appears more egregious as additional information comes to light.” The Johnsons alleged that the Maloney was late to the meet and didn’t question Andrew’s hair or the need for a head covering during the initial evaluation but then changed his mind and ordered it cut. Source: Larry Busacca / Getty Amar’e Stoudemire Files For Divorce From Wife Alexis Welch Former NBA star Amar’e Stoudemire has filed for divorce from his wife of almost six years, Alexis Welsh. This news comes a little over a year after it was revealed that he fathered a love child with another woman. According to court documents obtained by The Blast , Stoudemire filed a petition for dissolution of marriage with minor children against Welch. The Florida native had been dating Alexis since the early 2000s, but the couple finally made things official when they got married in 2012. Stoudemire and Alexis share four kids together: Ar’e. Amar’e Jr., Assata and their youngest son, Alijah, who was born in 2013. Despite Amar’e’s petition, this case is still open and the divorce has yet to be finalized. Alexis has yet to file a response to the baller’s divorce petition, nor does she have a lawyer listed as representing her as of yet. This split comes after it was revealed that Stoudemire fathered a child with a Florida woman named Quynn Lovett. Back in April 2017, Lovett sued Stoudemire for paternity and sought child support for a baby named Zoe Renee, who had been born the previous year. Stoudemire responded to the suit by admitting he could be the father and revealing he had been paying the woman temporary child support without a court order. Lovett accused him of not being involved with the pregnancy and demanded he be ordered to pay support. The case dragged on for months but eventually settled in October 2017 once a DNA test came back confirming that Stoudemire was indeed the father. The terms of their settlement were sealed from the public. After leaving the NBA, Amar’e Stoudemire signed a deal to play for an Israeli pro basketball team in Jerusalem.

The music business mogul sat down with Kenyatta “The Hip Hop Motivator”, explaining why he never supported Kelly and it’s because Aaliyah was so shook after their relationship, she shut down talking about him. Dame says, like some of the women on “Surviving R. Kelly”, it was hard for Aaliyah to talk, but she did say that Kelly was a “bad dude.” At the 10:00 mark, Dame also said he never supported Jay-Z and R. Kelly’s collaborative tape after learning about Kelly’s child porn sex tape. He even went as far as taking his name off the project under Roc-a-fella at the time. Instead, he shared his cut with Aaliyah’s breast cancer organization. It was a whole mess, but Jay-Z still moved forward… “I watched some of it yesterday, and as a human I was tight. There was a girl and when she was trying to talk about it, she couldn’t. And I remember Aaliyah trying to talk about it and she couldn’t. She would just leave it at that dude was a bad man. Instagram removed an advertisement for a mobile game from their app after the singer posted several IG stories denouncing the ad and asking for it to be taken down. The sponsored post promoting a game called “Game of Sultans” featured two side-by-side characters, one dubbed “obese” and another called “pretty.” “Why is this fat shaming bull**it on my feed,” the 26-year-old wrote on her Instagram story. “So many things wrong with this ad.” She even tweeted about it to draw attention to the ad and how much of a problem she has with it, urging her fans to “always speak up for what you believe in.” Just called out Instagram and some bullshit game on my insta stories.. go check it out. Always speak up for what you believe in! — Demi Lovato (@ddlovato) January 4, 2019 The message from the ad is basically that only skinny women are pretty–which is clearly wrong and problematic–so Demi took it upon herself to take a stand. “This is absolutely harmful to anyone who is easily influenced by societal pressures put on us from the diet culture to constantly be losing weight in a world that teaches us to equate our value and worth with the way we look and especially anyone in recovery from an eating disorder,” she wrote. “Especially when eating disorders are all about ‘control.’” Lovato goes on to directly call out Instagram for allowing an ad that degrades the way people look on its platform. “Please Instagram, keep this bull**it off mine and other’s feeds who could easily be effected by this disgusting advertisement,” she wrote. “With how aware people are becoming of mental health and mental illnesses, I expect you guys to know better by allowing this advertisement to be allowed on your app. And shame on the game.” Following the post, Instagram ended up apologizing and told TMZ the ad violated its terms of service and would be removed. “We’re sorry. So we’ll just have to see how it comes.” Although many people are overjoyed with the thought of a Trump impeachment, some Dems are not so happy. Source: Santiago Felipe / Getty Toni Braxton Reportedly Half A Million In The Hole With The IRS For Failing To Pay Taxes According to The Blast , Toni Braxton was slapped with a tax lien from the IRS of nearly half a million. According to court records the IRS filed the first lien against the singer on December 4. The lien states that Toni Braxton owes a total of $340,252.99 in back taxes for 2017. Then days later the State of California Franchise Tax Board hit her with a tax lien of their own over $116,154.64 for a grand total of $456,407.63. This isn’t the first time Toni has had money troubles. Both the IRS and the State of California filed tax liens against her last year, claiming the singer owes a total of $780,808.29 in back taxes. On top of that, Braxton has filed for bankruptcy twice in the past, and in a judgement, had most of a reported $10 million dollar total debt wiped. Hopefully she can get it together.
