Rihanna, Kanye West Bring ‘All Of The Lights’ To All-Star Game

Wearing a jet black ensemble and flanked on either side by string instrumentalists, RiRi opened the set with an orchestral arrangement of her hit “Umbrella,” before segueing into the faster tempo of “Only Girl” and “Rude Boy.” Rihanna was joined on stage for her fourth song when collaborator and rumored former paramour Drake jumped up from the audience to sing the duo’s hit “What’s My Name.” The rapper might have even scored the most points of the night by managing to work “Happy Birthday” into the song’s lyrics for Rihanna, who was celebrating turning 23-years-old.

Kanye West’s ‘All Of The Lights’ Video Premieres

By Alvin Blanco Kanye West Photo: Noel Vasquez/ Getty Images Kanye West surprised fans by releasing his video for “All of the Lights” from his platinum-selling album My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy. Instead of extensive pre-promotion and hype, the video was announced only about an hour or so before it was set to debut Saturday (February 19). The clip is directed by Hype Williams and features appearances from Rihanna and Kid Cudi. Williams is a favorite of West’s; the filmmaker has directed a number of the Chicago rapper’s videos, including “Stronger,” “Can’t Tell Me Nothing,” “Amazing” and their first collabo “Diamonds From Sierra Leone.” The video begins in black-and-white with the camera following a young girl who is presumably heading out to school. After about a minute, a brightly lit graphic montage of the song’s lyrics and names of the video’s participants begin flashing across the screen. This portion of the video is an homage to the opening credits of Gaspar No

Johnny Depp, 47, who has two children with Vanessa Paradis, 38, sat in the front row of the balcony, his eyes fixated on her throughout the two-hour show. She sang mostly in French, dedicating one song to “love and fire,” and producing a beautiful, feminine rendition of Jeff Buckley’s “Hallelujah.” At Vanessa Paradis#39;s concert Wednesday night in New York City, the audience was filled with fans from France, couples extending their Valentine#39;s Day love and … Paradis#39;s own love, Johnny

Phoenix Begin Work On ‘Experimental’ New Album

The band recorded sessions with an Australian percussion group for their ‘futuristic’ follow-up to Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix. By James Montgomery Phoenix’s Thomas Mars Photo: Getty Images The last time we heard from Phoenix, they told MTV News that they were planning to begin work on the follow-up to their breakout Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix album on “the 4th of January — to be precise,” and it looks like they were telling the truth. From the sound of things, the Franco-pop stars are already hard at work on their new album … down in Australia. In an interview backstage at Sydney’s Good Vibrations Festival, Phoenix’s Thomas Mars and Deck D’Arcy told Pedestrian.tv that they were planning to do some recordings for their new album, with an orchestra that … well, let’s let them attempt to explain it: “We’re meeting an orchestra that specializes in, uh, I don’t know how to say it in English,” Mars said. “We’re going to record a bunch of percussionists in [Australian beach town] Byron Bay,” D’Arcy added. “It’s a test, if it works, we’ll probably come back and record something that’s going to be on the album,” Mars said. This is the first bit of solid news we’ve gotten on the band’s next album, which, as they were quick to point out, might be a bit of a departure from the hooky pop of Amadeus. “It sounds like the TGV, it’s a fast French train, it sounds like that,” Mars explained. “It’s very … nostalgic, futuristic. It’s very experimental, it’s very minimal music. … I think because we do a lot of music with drum machines — we blend a lot drum machines and real drums — for us, it’s a way to escape that. There’s something a little frustrating when you do pop music, and drums are, they’re the DNA of our music, because we’d like to go somewhere else, we want to change that DNA.” Related Artists Phoenix

Laetitia Casta by Terry Richardson for Purple Mag of the Day

There was a time when this 32 year old wasn’t 32 and was one of the hottest set of tits on the celebrity nudity circuit on the internet….I’m talking back in 1997 when celebrity blogs didn’t exist, but random sites that posted screenshots of sex scenes did. I don’t know how many times I jerked off to this girls big French tits, but it was probably at least once in some drunken, lonely moment I shouldn’t share with you…and the weird thing about this bitch is that I’ve only posted one post on her in 6 years of doing this…. I don’t really know what happened to her, you know why she never made it big in America, or why banned Chris Isaak music videos were her claim to fame, or why she kinda disappeared but then again I don’t really know who the fuck she is, I just know she has big tits… Now she’s in Purple Magazine being shot by Terry Richardson, mooning some, fucking with statues some and it’s a good enough comeback for me…

Note to self: start dating Diane Kruger. From the San Francisco Chronicle: German actress Diane Kruger has been put off the idea of marriage for good following her failed union to French actor/director Guillaume Canet, insisting relationships are based on commitment, not “paper.” The “Inglorious Basterds” star wed Canet when she was 25, but the couple split five years later and its divorce was finalized in 2006. She moved on and began dating former “Dawson#39;s Creek” star Joshua Jackson shortl

‘Just Go With It’: The Reviews Are In!

Adam Sandler fans will surely hit the theater whether critics are into it or not. By Eric Ditzian Jennifer Aniston and Adam Sandler in “Just Go With It” Photo: Sony Pictures Like the iPhone 4, Adam Sandler movies are basically review-proof. His comedies never engender the sort of critical praise that, say, Judd Apatow’s often do, yet crowds reliably show up to watch Sandler do his thing. So perhaps we shouldn’t pay much mind to the often harsh reviews that have greeted his latest laugher, the Jennifer Aniston-co-starring rom-com, “Just Go With It.” After all, even in the face of stiff competition from Justin Bieber’s “Never Say Never,” Sandler’s flick is expected to win the weekend’s box-office crown. Possibly, though, you want to know a little more about “Just Go With It” than whose face fills nearly every scene. In that case, read on to find out what the critics have to say! The Story “Sandler plays Danny, a plastic surgeon and schlub who marries a shrew but discovers post-divorce (and post-nose job) that the gold band is a magnet for bar chicks. That changes when he meets Palmer (the stunning Brooklyn Decker), which prompts him to shove the ring in his pocket to woo her beachside. Everything’s hunky-dory until Palmer discovers the ring in Danny’s pocket and naturally assumes he’s married. Here’s where the film takes its first characteristic step: Instead of explaining himself, Danny concocts a bizarre lie that he’s separated from his wife and close to a divorce. To maintain that lie, he persuades his assistant, Katherine (Aniston), to not only play his soon-to-be-ex-wife but to come with her two children to Hawaii to, well, make the movie feature length.” — Scott Bowles, USA Today The Look and the Laughs “[Director Dennis] Dugan constantly shoots their paid vacation and indeed the entire film like a commercial, and with the rampant product placement, it’s hard not to believe that’s the case. Cuts are sloppy, dialogue looping is obvious, and although they must’ve seemed fresh after every take on set, Sandler’s perpetual off-the-cuff name checks become a monotonous crutch in scene after scene. The man can’t resist ethnic stereotypes, plastic surgery mishaps, shots to the groin or sheep resuscitation gags (a moment any other film would’ve played off as something funnier said than shown), and the film runs nearly two hours for all its allegedly comedic indulgences.” — William Goss, Cinematical The Chemistry “[Aniston] has got expert comic timing when all those around her have none; she’s got lightness and finesse when everyone else is being indulgently silly. She plays like a grown-up; she looks fab. And she gets a real commitment out of Sandler — her performance makes him grow up, too. Amidst the wreckage of ‘Just Go With It,’ Aniston and Sandler have a real chemistry. They should go elsewhere with it.” — Lisa Schwarzbaum, Entertainment Weekly The Dissenters “Adam Sandler’s Happy Madison production team has rarely put much stock in the rules of classical storytelling, but its newest project, ‘Just Go With It,’ manages to misfire in two seemingly incompatible directions. A puerile kiddie-comedy without the anarchic energy, and a schmaltzy romantic comedy without the sweetness, this Hawaii-set farce is too frantic and too lackadaisical a take on the oft-adapted French play ‘Cactus Flower.’ Working with longtime director Dennis Dugan, Sandler and the rest of the film’s marquee cast could nonetheless steer it toward good returns.” — Andrew Barker, Variety The Final Word “It had been one of the minor inducements to longevity, this crazy hope of one day actually seeing Jennifer Aniston in a good movie. That day arrives with ‘Just Go With It,’ a very funny romantic comedy that nicely combines Adam Sandler’s acerbic sweetness with Aniston’s down-to-earth warmth — and that finds an excuse for Aniston to both play an average person and yet dress like a movie star. The screenplay has a setup that borders on farce, but the romantic heart of it is strong and expresses something unusual. It’s a movie about the romance of familiarity, about the satisfaction and spiritual necessity of actually knowing someone and being known. So much of movie romance is usually about the opposite of that, about going off into the unknown, about adventure in the form of, not physical danger, but emotional danger. ‘Just Go With It’ makes a feint in that direction, but not enough to fool anybody.” — Mick LaSalle, San Francisco Chronicle Check out everything we’ve got on “Just Go With It.” For breaking news, celebrity columns, humor and more — updated around the clock — visit MTVMoviesBlog.com .

Kristin Scott Thomas: No Pud-to-Puss Penetration in Partir

Although classy Brit babe Kristin Scott Thomas may look like she’s actually getting royally rogered by her costar in the French drama Partir , the actress claims that no actual penetration occurred. Kristin, who recently won the ‘Best British Actress’ award at the Evening Standard British Film Awards for her role in the movie responded to suggestions that she looks like she’s getting a real hot beef injection or two in the scene, saying: “I can assure you straight away they were not real. At the time, I was interested in making a film about a mature woman, her emotions and her sexuality.” Kristin has been exploring these roles for quite some time, lezzing out with French beauty Emmanuelle Seigner in Roman Polanski ‘s Bitter Moon back in 1994. Describing what it’s like to get naked in front of a camera and pretend to bang some actor (or actress), Kristin says you need “courage” and “choreography” and that “you feel like you’re brave enough to do it and everyone else around you isn’t. It’s like jumping off a cliff.” Or onto a small tree. Maybe the sex in Partir isn’t real, but Kristin’s UK T&A are as real as they come!
