Team Britney Spears – literally, the singer and her management team – are featured in V magazine in a story about entertainers and their “second families.” The team is featured in these two Britney Spears pics : Left-to-right: Lou Taylor, business manager; Adam Leber, manager; Brett Miller, executive assistant; Jimmy “Sugar” Kane, security; Larry Rudolph, manager; Derek DeGrazio, fitness trainer; Edan Yemini, head of security; Robin Greenhill, business manager. “I have worked with all of them for many, many years so it was fun to see them together again on the first day of the tour,” Brit said. “Everybody was catching up and telling all of their fun stories from the past, laughing and just having a great time.” NOTE: Jason Trawick, Brit’s fiance, used to be her agent as well.

Kate Gosselin doesn’t normally do New Year’s resolutions, but she is this time. After a crazy 2011, what’s she striving for to make 2012 all it can be? “I don’t typically make New Year’s resolutions,” she writes on CouponCabin. “However, I do aim for certain things as I organize and prioritize my life.” Her goal is both simple and profound: Accomplish something! With passion! She writes, “This year, I learned that if I want to accomplish something, whether it’s hanging a picture in my home, building a chicken coop or running a marathon, it’s all possible if my mindset is one of determination and positivity!” “The year of 2011 for me was a year of gaining complete independence, and learning to look for solutions in every situation instead of focusing on the problems. REVIEW: Even If You Like ’Em Big and Stupid, Conan the Barbarian Disappoints

Movies have become so technically sophisticated, so hyper-real, that there’s almost no such thing as a cheap pulp entertainment anymore: So many movies set out to wow us, which isn’t the same as giving us pleasure. Yet even within those dispiriting parameters, you couldn’t come up with a more mediocre wow than Marcus Nispel’s Conan the Barbarian , which is perhaps less a remake of John Milius’ 1982 crowdpleaser than an attempt to honor the spirit of Robert E. Howard’s original novels, though it’s hard to tell exactly what effect Nispel is going for. I wanted to giggle when Ron Perlman, as Conan’s dad-to-be, performed an emergency mid-battle C-section on his dying wife. But the Conan birth scene, so epic in its epicness, is played totally straight. When Perlman holds that tastefully blood-streaked CGI newborn aloft to the mighty heavens, he seems to be angling for a few gifts of frankincense or myrrh, or at least a gift certificate from Land of Nod.

Now we have to wonder if Abduction is believable as a film at all, since its new poster takes a page out of a very-effing-popular movie franchise from the past decade. Sony Sets Release Date for Amazing Spider-Man Sequel

The Amazing Spider-Man doesn’t even come out until next July, but Sony is already so confident in its potential world-beating success that the studio has placed its sequel on the schedule. The Amazing Spider-Man 2 will hit on May 2, 2014 — assuming the world doesn’t end, Sony doesn’t go out of business, and/or interest in Spider-Man doesn’t wane to the point of nonentity.
