Rick Kern/WireImage Tamera Mowry And Adam Housley Speak On Their Niece’s Murder Less than a week after their niece was gunned down at Borderline Bar in Thousand Oaks, California, Tamera Mowry and her husband Adam Housley are speaking out. As previously reported their niece Alaina Housley was the youngest victim of the mass shooting and her family was devastated to get the news. Now Tamera, Adam and Alaina’s father Eric Housley are speaking with CBS about the tragedy and pledging to use her death to spark a change. Tamera: “Yes, there needs to be a change. But all the noise—nothing’s been done.” Adam: “If I was to walk out of here and the first thing I was to say was, you know, ‘Gun control,’ guess what? Half the country (snaps fingers), [conversation] ends.” Tamera: “And we don’t want the conversation to end.” Adam: “It can’t this time.” They also revealed that they’ve been brutally bullied on social media over Alaina’s death… Adam: “You should see of the tweets we got after Alaina died. I got one that said, ‘You deserve it, you worked at Fox News.’ It got liked by about 78 people.” but they’re moving forward ahead of her funeral. Tamera: “She wouldn’t want this to happen to anyone else.” Tamera’s since shared one of the many harsh tweets she’s received and she’s imploring people to stop. “If you have love in your heart. You don’t talk this way. You obviously missed the message. And don’t you ever judge the death of my niece.” People are sick. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Housleys, this has to be truly devastating.

Getty Images Construction workers were on site of a former funeral home in Michigan when they shockingly found 11 infant corpses hidden in the ceiling. According to the Detroit News , eight of the baby bodies were stored in a cardboard box and three were found in separate garbage bags that were stuffed into one casket. Detective Lt. Brian Bowser told reporters that state officials had received an anonymous letter in the mail Friday, informing them that the infant bodies were hidden inside. “The letter detailed the existence of human remains inside the funeral home. They were met here by the current owner who admitted them entry. They went to the location described in the letter and located a couple boxes. One box and one small casket. They were kind of hidden away. It’s just the callousness of the operators, the owners, the employees of the funeral home.” DPD Lt. Detective Brian Bowser says they recovered bodies of 11 stillborns improperly stowed in a “hidden false ceiling between the first and second floor of the funeral home” after an anonymous letter was sent to LARA Friday. @detroitnews pic.twitter.com/unqxCanety — Sarah Rahal (@SarahRahal_) October 13, 2018 However, Jameca LaJoyce Boone, the manager of Cantrell Funeral Home, told reporters, “I didn’t know anything about that,” she told The Detroit News. “I really don’t know how that could even have happened. I don’t know how long that’s been going on there… it’s very unfortunate and they definitely need to find out who put them there. State officials shut down the funeral home back in April after inspectors found decomposing remains and “deplorable conditions. The Wayne County medical examiner’s office will notify families of the deceased babies immediately.

N early a month after legendary songstress Aretha Franklin was laid to rest, the Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History is paying homage to the Queen of Soul in a special way. The Detroit-based institution recently opened a new exhibit that captures Franklin’s life journey and highlights her contributions to music, Rolling Stone reported. An Aretha Franklin exhibit, “Think: A Tribute to the Queen of Soul,” will open this week at a Detroit museum https://t.co/o6rt2AumEQ — Rolling Stone (@RollingStone) September 23, 2018 The exhibit—dubbed “Think: A Tribute to the Queen of Soul”—opened on Tuesday, the news outlet writes. It features Franklin’s personal items; including ensembles from her wardrobe and copies of some of her first recordings. The exhibit also includes video footage and photos that capture pivotal moments in the singer’s career. Each item featured in the exhibit illustrates Franklin’s impact and influence in the realm of music and how she used her artistry to evoke social and political change. Amongst the items included are her 1956 vinyl recording of the song “Never Grow Old” and the red outfit she wore during her public viewing. The items will be rotated throughout the course of the exhibition. The exhibition was supported by Franklin’s estate. “The Aretha mojo lives,” museum board member Kelly Major Green told the Detroit Free Press . “It’s a beautiful tribute. We want to learn and see some things that are more intimate and touching about her. This personalizes her in a little different way.” The exhibit will be on display through January 21, 2019. The singer’s estate is reportedly working on creating a more permanent exhibit that is slated to open in 2020. There isn’t any word on where that project will be housed. Aretha Franklin has officially been laid to rest, but the Internet can’t stop talking about her funeral and the memorable Black church moments that came out of it. 1. Ariana Grande’s Little Black Dress Source: ANGELA WEISS / Getty Someone should have told Ariana Grande about the Black church before letting her walk up in Aretha Franklin’s funeral in this leg-bearing black dress. Source: FayesVision/WENN.com / WENN Nicki Minaj has ruled the charts for so long that even she has the expectation that she should blow each time she drops. However, her latest album, Queen , made a #2 debut on the Billboard 200 charts and she blamed Kylie Jenner and Spotify for not going #1. On Sunday (Aug. 19), Minaj spent a big part of the day unleashing blame on Jenner and Spotify disrupting her chance to debut at the top but the reasoning might be curious to some. “Travis sold over 50K of these. With no requirement of redeeming the album! With no dates for a tour, etc. I spoke to him. He knows he doesn’t have the #1 album this week. I love my fans for the #1 album in AMERICA! I’ll explain on #QueenRadio 4 albums in, #1 in 86 countries,” Minaj tweeted with a photo of Travis Scott’s ASTROWORLD tour announcement. She added, “My first album sold 400K. No one is doing that with debut albums now. So I’m so grateful. I lost out on 12 hours of sales and did 200K in one week after I was supposedly cancelled. I bit my tongue last #QueenRadio but I won’t On Tuesday. I love you guys so much.” Minaj then said, “I put my blood sweat & tears in writing a dope album only for Travis Scott to have Kylie Jenner post a tour pass telling ppl to come see her & Stormi. lol. Im actually laughing. #Queen broke the record of being number 1 in 86 countries. Thank Jesus & thank you to my fans.” During a string of tweets regarding Spotify, Minaj claims the streaming service is “teaching her a lesson” for playing portions of Queen on her Queens Radio show on Beats 1 after assuming all streaming networks had the record on their platforms. Spotify and other services put up Queen after it debuted on Apple, and Minaj let fans hear the record under the assumption it was widely released. Minaj also claims Spotify took away promotion that was promised to her as a result of her playing the record via Beats 1. “My music went up on Apple so I played it. I assumed it was on Spotify & Tidal at the same time. Spotify said that Apple tweeted fans advising #Queen was up & therefore they had to teach me a lesson. But PRAISE BE TO GOD!!!!!!,” Minaj wrote on Twitter Minaj promises she will go into greater detail about Spotify allegedly doing her dirty on Tuesday (Aug. 21) via Queens Radio.
