My name is Abby and I live in Brisbane, Australia and my Bieber…

My name is Abby and I live in Brisbane, Australia and my Bieber experience was the most hilarious and most memorable time. It was Justin’s first ever concert in Australia and I was lucky enough to meet him twice; once in 2010 and once in 2011 on the exact same day. My friend Johanna who is a part of @jbsource rang me at 7am on the day of the concert. Naturally I was sleeping and didn’t answer it in time so I texted her asking what was wrong. I got a reply of her hysterically saying, “KENNY DMED ME ON TWITTER AND IS GIVING ME 4 MEET AND GREETS”. Johanna, our friend Geena and I had planned to go to the concert together so Johanna being the greatest and most generous friend alive gave us one each and another to our other friend @courtneyyhudson. We were 2nd last in line and it came our turn and we walked into the room. Justin said hey to us all. I walked in 2nd last and Justin had already put his arms around the girls to take a picture. I really wanted a hug so I politely asked Justin if I could have one. He said, “Of course you can”, so he gave me a hug. Seeing as I had already met him once, Geena stood next to him to take the photo and we had all discussed beforehand that we wanted Kenny to be in our photo. “KENNY, KENNY GET IN OUR PHOTO” so he jumps in and we took the picture when Johanna yells out, “WAIT WAIT NO OMG I WASN’T READY, PLEASE TAKE ANOTHER ONE”. Justin and Kenny were like okay take another one, meanwhile I had already taken my hands from around everyone and didn’t  realize  we were taking another photo, so I had to quickly get my hands back around Geena and Kenny and awkwardly enough my hand just had to sit on Kenny’s let’s just say “lower back”. I tried my hardest not to look awkward or laugh but after we took the photo I just blurted out, “How awkward my hand was just on Kenny’s butt”. Kenny laughed and Justin looked at me smiling and just started laughing. I didn’t know if I had offended anyone by saying it but everyone just laughed. Then Kenny told Justin that we were from @jbsource (Even though it was just Johanna)  At the time Justin was wearing a beanie and I really wanted to see his new haircut so I asked, “Why are you covering up your new hair with a beanie?” and responded with, “Um, I just got off a 7 hour flight”. I said, “Well I’m sure it looks nice regardless” and he just smiled and said thank you. Johanna asked him if he could tweet Jbsource because he hasn’t tweeted them in ages and she made him pinky promise that he will, which he did. We all said bye and Justin and Kenny said bye and we thanked them. Overall it was an amazing experience and his concert was AMAZING even though he had a sore back he performed. I will never forget what Kenny did for us and I will never be able to repay Johanna. It will be an experience I will remember for the rest of my life. -@abbyglasby View original post here: My name is Abby and I live in Brisbane, Australia and my Bieber…

This is my first Bieber experience. Last friday afternoon,…

This is my first Bieber experience. Last friday afternoon, Justin posted on his Twitter that he was going to be in Atlanta. I live in Atlanta so I started freaking out! I found out he was going to be playing in a basketball game for charity about 40 minutes from where I live.  I clicked on the link thinking tickets were going to be like $100 or something. When I saw the tickets were only $10, I flipped! At first I thought it was a scam but I mean Ludacris AND Justin posted it so I was sure it wasn’t a scam. I ran downstairs screaming and told my mom everything! She said go get my laptop and she got me and her tickets! I immediately messaged my friend Courtney on Facebook and she was like NO WAY! She asked her mom and her mom got her a ticket as well. We went after church on Sunday to the game! We were so excited! We sang Justin Bieber songs the whole way there! When we got there, it was SUPER crowded! We saw Justin’s black cars so we were immediately freaking out! We got into the arena and were disappointed because we had to sit on the very very top row. We brought our signs (we were very lucky to have taken them in cause some got theirs taken away) Our sign said, “TEAM BIEBER” and “BIEBER FEVER” on the back. We also had a sparkly white one that said, “COME MEET US JUSTIN” and on the back “TEAM BIEBER”. We met some other Bieber fans and had a great time! We went down a little bit so we were only 30ft from Justin! We were screaming our lungs out! Justin waved at his fans twice! We screamed during a quite moment and he looked over at our signs and WAVED! We were not sure it was at us, but then we were FOR SURE when we went back to our seats and s ome girls said, “Did you see him wave at you” We were like OH SNAP! Anyways it was a great game! The score was 134- 132! WE WON! Justin went CRAZY! He was giving hugs to all his team members and took a picture with the $10,000 check they were giving to Ludacris’ charity. Then he left immediately. He didn’t come up to meet any of his fans (probably because there wasn’t a lot of security). SCOOTER BRAUN played a little in the game and we saw KENNY HAMILTON! We were freaking out! After the game we stayed in the arena thinking he would come back out but we just left because it was too crowded. We went outside and saw some of the basketball players leave and some girl told us he had already left and that there were some girls that chased his car. We ate the Swedish fish we were going to give him and left. We wished we could have met him but we were fine with just seeing him. Justin if you saw our signs please DM me! It would mean the world to me!! That game was the BEST $10 I  have EVER spent! – @EllieKearney Go here to read the rest: This is my first Bieber experience. Last friday afternoon,…

Big K.R.I.T., CyHi The Prynce Talk ‘Uncapped’ Series

Series-closing MCs tell MTV News the Vitamin Water project a great look for underground artists. By Steven Roberts CyHi The Prynce (file) NEW YORK — Vitamin Water hosted the last show in its “Uncapped Live” concert series at the Hudson Hotel on Wednesday night, and Freddie Gibbs , Big K.R.I.T. , CyHi the Prynce and Rye Rye came through to rock the New York City crowd. Over the last few months, the “Uncapped Live” series has partnered with up-and-coming acts to help expose them to bigger audiences. MTV News caught up with K.R.I.T. and CyHi before the show to talk about what the opportunity means to them. “They’re actually helping artists such as myself, Big K.R.I.T., Pill [and] other up-and-coming hip-hop artists that’s looking to stand on the forefront of hip-hop and the game,” CyHi told us. “We’re coming from the underground and we’re doing it organically, so they’re a big help to up-and-coming artists such as myself.” The G.O.O.D Music MC opened the show, casually walking onstage in a black tee and his signature Jesus piece; the crowd actually didn’t notice him at first. Cy went on to perform songs from his Royal Flush mixtape series and various features. But he really got the crowd rocking when he did his verse from Kanye West’s “So Appalled.” The ATLien said he loved performing in New York, because New Yorkers are typically harder to impress. “They’re the originators, and I guess you have to pay homage to the originators, and at the same time I remember me and K.R.I.T. was on the same show and I got booed. Ever since then, every time I come back it’s like pandemonium. That’s just the war wounds or the process you have to go through to become a stronger artist. A lot of crowds may not perceive you as well as other crowds may and you may think that they’re supposed to.” Big Krit — whose Live From the Underground drops September 27 — was grateful for the platform the “Uncapped” tour provided newer artists. The Mississippi MC said he loved the opportunity to perform in front of an audience that may not know have been familiar with his music, jaded New Yorkers or not. “Anywhere where you are performing in front of people who might not know who you are, it can be intimidating. But I’ve been doing this so long and I’ve been in front of crowds who knew who I was that didn’t bob their heads or really didn’t care that I was onstage. So to have the opportunity to be in front — far from where I’m from and performing my music and people are listening — it’s dope all the same, whether you get booed or don’t get booed.” Related Videos ‘RapFix Live’ With CyHi The Prynce Related Artists Prynce Cy Hi Big K.R.I.T.

Kelly Rowland looks amazing as always on the cover of Runway Magazine fall 2011 issue. The current baddest chick in the game opens up about going through an identity crisis as a child. Kelly shares her story about going to a predominantly white school and having issues with her complexion. “There’s so much peer pressure growing up, I had an identity crisis. I went to a predominantly white school and I was the only black girl. I can remember thinking: ‘I don’t want to be as dark as I am – I want to be a little fairer.’ I didn’t want to be me…Tina sat me in front of the mirror and said: ‘Girl, look at how pretty you are.’ She made me feel comfortable in my own skin.” Check out the behind the scenes footage from her cover shoot below. ‘Sherlock Holmes’ Villain Praises Nemesis Robert Downey Jr.

‘Mad Men’ star Jared Harris reveals how he’ll live up to Professor Moriarty’s rep in ‘A Game of Shadows.’ By Josh Wigler Jude Law and Robert Downey Jr. in “Sherlock Holmes: A Game Of Shadows” Photo: Daniel Smith Every coin has two sides, every number an opposite. In the case of Sherlock Holmes, his other half is Professor Moriarty, the shadowy criminal mastermind who serves as the greatest threat to the world’s greatest detective — quite a feat, really, considering that the character directly appeared in only two of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s original stories. Click for exclusive photos from Fall’s biggest flicks. But Moriarty is stepping out of the darkness and into the light when “Mad Men” actor Jared Harris fills out his villainous shoes, playing opposite Robert Downey Jr.’s Holmes in “Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows,” which arrives in theaters this holiday season. As MTV News’ Fall Movie Preview continues, we spoke with Harris about what goes into portraying such an iconic (if often unseen) villain, and all the red herrings and moral ambiguity that come with the package. MTV : Professor Moriarty is a character with great history in the “Sherlock Holmes” universe and beyond. What kind of research and preparation went into getting into the spirit of the character? Jared Harris : Well, I tried to hatch some worldwide domination plots. [ Laughs ] What’s interesting is that when he appears in the Sherlock Holmes books, he doesn’t appear very much; he’s talked about, but you don’t see him very often. I thought a little bit about previous incarnations of him. But there were two things that were tricky about this: that convention of who that character was in the Sherlock Holmes stories, this sort of arch nemesis/supervillain. It’s been borrowed so often that you can’t just go back and do it the way it was, because it seems like a clich

Freddie Gibbs To Talk Straight, ‘No Filla’ On ‘RapFix Live’!

Gary, Indiana’s own Gangsta Gibbs will swing through on Wednesday at 4 p.m. ET on MTV.com. By Rob Markman Freddie Gibbs Photo: Roger Kisby/ Getty Images The real is back! On Wednesday at 4 p.m. ET, “RapFix Live” returns with Freddie Gibbs , who will hit the couch to discuss everything from coming up in Gary, Indiana, to signing with Young Jeezy’s CTE label to his upcoming project Cold Day in Hell. While rap has diversified its cast of characters to include MCs from all walks of life, Gibbs has remained unapologetically gangster . Originally signed by Interscope in 2005, Gangsta Gibbs struggled to get the label to see his vision and was eventually released from his deal in October 2007. But in 2009, Freddie proved that there was room for his brand of music. With his The Miseducation of Freddie Gibbs and midwestgangstaboxframecadillacmuzik, Gibbs made fans take notice. His grind paid off, and in 2010, Freddie earned himself a spot on XXL magazine’s 2010 Freshmen cover. He went on to drop the independent release Str8 Killa No Filla on Decon Records. In April, the Midwest MC made his biggest move yet when he inked with Young Jeezy’s CTE (Corporate Thugz Entertainment). Since the signing, the pair have released quite a few songs, including their hustle ode “Run DMC,” “Do It for You” and “Rough,” a song off of the Snowman’s latest mixtape, The Real Is Back 2. “RapFix Live” will also bring you backstage at the Rock the Bells tour stop in New York City this past weekend. On Saturday, Nas, Lauryn Hill, Erykah Badu, Slaughterhouse and Mobb Deep all performed, and “RFL” has all the exclusives for you as well as our regular Get in the Game and Weekend Rotation segments. Catch Freddie Gibbs on “RapFix Live” Wednesday, September 7, at 4 p.m. ET on MTV.com! Related Artists Freddie Gibbs

Mobb Deep’s Ninth Album ‘Monumental’ For Duo

‘We got a lot of music ready to go,’ Prodigy tells MTV News of upcoming self-titled LP. By Rob Markman Mobb Deep Photo: MTV News Mobb Deep are free agents no longer. On Friday, the Queens, New York, rap duo announced their new deal with Sony’s RED Distribution. Under the terms, RED will distribute Havoc and Prodigy’s Infamous Records, where they’ll drop their self-titled album (their ninth), with Infamous Records functioning much like an independent. “The way we structured it is as a distribution deal basically, so we run our own label, Infamous, and we gotta do the daily ins and outs of everything. We gotta handle all the record company business and they get it in the stores for us, basically,” Prodigy told MTV News backstage at Rock the Bells in New York City on Saturday. “It’s been a long time coming,” Havoc added. “We’ve been in the game for a minute and the object of the game is to control your own business.” While allowing the veteran street-hop group to be their own bosses, the deal with Sony also puts Mobb Deep closer to their legacy. After the duo dropped their debut album on 4th and B’way in 1993, the Mobb signed with Loud Records, the Steve Rifkind-helmed label eventually absorbed by Sony. “Sony RED is a good company; they basically own our catalog anyway because when Loud sold the company, they sold it to Sony,” Prodigy clarified. “So they own all of our albums, basically. When we sat down with them, they basically were like, ‘We’d love to do this, we got your catalog anyway.’ ” For their upcoming LP Mobb Deep, the group aims to continue to build on that catalog, which already features such highly regarded albums as Murda Muzik and The Infamous, M-O-B-B’s sophomore album. The pair performed their second LP in full during Rock the Bells. Although the deal was just announced, P revealed that he and Hav have been working on the album since he was released from jail in March for gun possession. “Right now, it’s just a monumental thing for us, you know, it’s been a long time coming. We’re excited about it. We got a lot of music ready to go, we’ve been working on this Mobb album since I got home,” P said. “Everything is just up to par, the production — from Hav’s production to our lyrics to all the ideas from videos to everything — we’re just really ready to go and get things started.” As of now, there is no official release date for the Mobb Deep album. Were You Watching: Was Imani Out Of Line Calling Draya “Worthless” On Basketball Wives L.A.?

This week’s “Angry Birds” aka Basketball Wives L.A. featured Laura Govan and Malaysia Pargo apologize for their trifling behavior fighting in a restaurant on the first episode. However not everyone was apologetic in the second episode — namely Draya who defended her days working the pole as no big deal after Imani questioned her morals. “Yeah, I showed my boobs for money — whoopty do” she added that maybe Imani’s boobs weren’t as nice as hers and that’s why she wasn’t comfortable showing them. The topic came up again in a session with a life coach (after the girls decide Draya needs to be rescued from her immoral lifestyle) after a game where each woman was asked to use an adjective to describe their peers, when Draya’s adjectives are read they are mostly negative — Sneaky, Combative, Animated and Worthless… the game’s supposed to be anonymous but Jackie quickly owns up to her adjective and the others follow suit leaving Imani to admit she called Draya worthless for reasons she doesn’t want to go into in this forum. The last scene of the show is the girls showing up for Draya’s party — and she isn’t very nice. In the preview for next week’s episode we see Imani and Draya have a sit down where Draya defends the stories about her son’s neglect by saying he’s never been taken away from her. At this point we’ve all heard the story of Draya leaving her son home alone to heat up microwave meals — so between that and her unapologetic attitude about her stripper past — is she really worthless? Or is this something only time will tell? View This Poll
