Kylie Jenner is about to turn 21 years old. But instead of celebrating the occasion with a glass of champagne, because she’ll be legally permitted to drink tomorrow, the reality star is celebrating in far more low key fashion*: Via a photo shoot with her precious daughter, Stormi. (*Okay, this is not entirely true. According to Radar Online, Kylie is actually spending $1 million to throw herself a total of five parties over this coming weekend; two at clubs and three at private residences.) Jenner took to Instagram on Thursday and posted two gorgeous portraits of herself and her first-born. There’s really no other way to describe these images. No matter what you think of Jenner, the snapshots are gorgeous. “bringing in my birthday tonight with my most special gift. What was life before you, Stormi. I love you my little angel,” wrote Jenner as a caption to the first picture, adding simply alongside the second: “My heart.” Those who follow Jenner on Instagram (all 112-million plus million of you) were likely surprised by these posts, considering Kylie has been sharing fewer and fewer pictures these days of her child. The same can be said of Stormi’s dad, Travis Scott, as well. Insiders have said that the couple is making an effort to shield Stormi from the spotlight, at least over the first few weeks, months and years of her life. “Kylie felt so protective of her baby when she was pregnant. This is why she didn’t share any bump pictures while she was pregnant,” a source said in June, during the height of Jenner’s hiatus from over-sharing. In early July, however, Kylie ended this self-imposed baby ban and started sharing fresh looks at Stormi with fans once again. Explains the same insider cited above, telling People Magazine why there was an influx of Stormi pictures and then a break in between the latest set: “After Stormi was born, Kylie was the proudest mom. She couldn’t wait to show off Stormi to her fans. She posted pictures because she was so excited to be a mom. “Unfortunately, social media is a crazy place [and] people have been making nasty comments” about Jenner’s little girl. If true, that really is inexcusable. You may have whatever opinions you possess about Jenner and her sisters, but what kind of person hurls shade at an infant? Thankfully, Kylie does not appear to be letting the trolls get her down. She’s remained mostly off the gossip grid ever since Stormi was born, content to relax at home and take advantage of this special time with her daughter. However, if certain reports are true, then Jenner is about to be back in the news in a major way very soon. After all, we hear Scott is gonna propose to Kylie on her 21st birthday ! EEEK!
