Compton’s serve-crushing tennis baller is set to play in the 2017 Wimbledon finals after defeating Johanna Konta in the semis according to BBC Sports . Unlike some of Serena’s competitors (looking at you shady azz Maria Sharapova ), Johanna bowed down gracefully and kissed Venus’ ring for wearing that azz out on the court: “It was very difficult for me to get a good foothold in the match,” she said. “The few opportunities that I did get, she did incredibly well to take them away from me. “I don’t think I did too much wrong out there. I think it was all credit to her.” As we’ve reported, Venus was involved in a fatal car accident in Florida that resulted in an elderly man’s death. The police initially stated that the accident and subsequent fatality was Venus’ fault, but she was recently cleared of any wrongdoing. Tensions in the Big Brother house tend to skyrocket as we edge closer to an eviction, and things went into overdrive on the latest episode. We picked up with the houseguests in shock over Josh publicly slamming Cody and Jessica. Alex noted that she was happy to let the argument rage on because it took the target off her own back. Jessica chanted that Josh was a mere pawn for both sides of the house and that he should probably go and change his diaper. Cody decided there was no point in continuing the argument and walked off. Paul followed and complimented him for taking his nomination like a man. Despite their differences, both of them knew when the other made a good move. Later, Christmas gathered the houseguests and revealed that she needed major surgery on her foot. She explained that she was given the opportunity to leave the game, but she decided to stay in and fight it out. Cody did not give a damn and felt like she was using the injury to advance her game further, and left the situation. Jessica, however, wanted to extend the olive branch to her. Even though Jessica’s been Cody’s shadow all season long, she knew she needed to build relationships out with her relationship in order to make it further. Christmas was not impressed with the way Jessica was going on about her reasons for wanting Christmas out. The funny thing is, Jessica had no clue about nominating Christmas. It was a tense meeting, but the two women parted ways. There’s no chance of them ever finding a way to get along. Too much has been done for them to make things right. Things went from bad to worse for Jessica when the houseguests celebrated Dominique’s birthday. Raven had made a cake, and the have nots did not get too have some. Naturally, Jessica disappeared to another room and cried her heart out. Cody comforted her, but at least he got to eat cake. Desperate to help Jessica’s game, Cody turned to Christmas to say that Mark and Dominique were in on the plan to get rid of Christmas from the get-go. Christmas was skeptical but took the information on board. He even went as far as telling her to work with Alex and Jessica. He may seem deluded at times, but at least he’s looking out for his girl. His plan took a bigger turn when he opened up about two people coming to him during his HOH reign. He revealed this to the house during Dominique’s talk show. However, Dominique made a mistake by telling everyone there was a dominant group in the house and Paul was pissed. Everyone wondered why she would say something like that, but she did. The target is most definitely on her now. It’s amazing how quickly things change in the game. One wrong thing can seal your fate. At the eviction, Christmas was not present but managed to vote from the hospital. Yes, this is getting out of hand now. – Jessica votes to evict Ramses – Kevin votes to evict Ramses – Christmas (via phone from the hospital) votes to evict Ramses – Raven votes to evict Cody – Dominique votes to evict Cody – Mark votes to evict Cody – Jason votes to evict Cody – Josh votes to evict Cody – Elena votes to evict Cody – Matt votes to evict Cody The biggest shock in the voting was that Christmas voted to evict Ramses. It was bizarre and proved she could not be trusted. Cody was evicted by a vote of 7-3-0! On his way out the door, he asked Jessica to be his girlfriend. To the surprise of absolutely no one, she accepted. Julie then dropped the bomb that there will be a Battle Back next week, and Cody looked ecstatic. We think it’s fair to say Big Brother 19 has had the most shocking first week on the live feeds than any full season of the CBS ratings juggernaut. We’ve had one houseguest quitting after a surprising bust-up with one of her fellow allies, and some shocking twists thanks to the Den of Temptation. But what happened over the long weekend that’s got everyone talking? Okay. Let’s get to it. As we previously reported, Cody tried his hardest to try and find common ground with Alex. In short, he felt like she was a strong player and deserved to be there. However, Alex told him to his face that she would be targeting him and the rest of the couples if she got into power. That meant Cody had no choice and had to nominate her. Unsurprisingly, Alex emerged victoriously in the veto competition, securing her safety for the week. The other side of the house immediately questioned what they should do because Cody was going to have to name his fifth nominee. Initially, Cody thought it would be a good idea to backdoor Jason and send the cowboy out of the game early on. However, his alliance members were against this idea. This presented Cody with a dilemma. He was friendly with Paul and Christmas but felt like they were going to take him out as soon as they got the opportunity. At the veto meeting, Cody nominated Paul as the replacement nominee. However, Paul had the Pendant of Protection and practically shoved it in Cody’s face. So, Cody then put Christmas on the block. As expected, it caused a lot of drama on the feeds and Christmas felt betrayed because she thought she had a good thing going with Cody’s side of the house. While Christmas fumed, Cody told Paul that he was the target because he did not give him one of the friendship bracelets. Paul respected the decision but was still unimpressed that Cody used underhand tactics to get revenge. The plot thickened Monday morning when Christmas decided to jump on Jason’s back and fell flat on her face. In the process, she damaged her foot. Presumably knowing she would likely be leaving, she asked producers to have a return next season. Christmas then left the house, and everyone thought she was gone. Cody then had to think about naming a replacement nominee… again. He did not know what to do because he’s put so many people on the block in the first week. Surprisingly, Christmas reappeared with crutches. Her foot was not broken, but she had damaged ligaments and was told she would get an MRI scan at some point this week. With Christmas on the block next to Jillian, will the house choose to keep her safe or send her out before her foot heals? It’s difficult because Christmas is seen as a competition beast. The unlucky candidate is 28-year-old Megan Lowder, and we are very shocked to hear this. If you’ve been keeping up to date with the latest season of the CBS spectacular, you will know that Megan has been a strong competitor. She planned on using her interrogator past to her advantage in order to deceive her fellow houseguests and eke out a victory when it came to winning the game. On paper, she sounded like a perfect candidate for the series, but it was just not meant to be. On last night’s episode of the series, Megan was called out by Josh for making a pact to take out some of the stronger men quickly. This immediately painted a target on her back, and she wound up in the block next to her friend Jillian. The live feeds launched last night, and viewers quickly noticed Megan was no longer in the game. Based on what the houseguests were saying last night, it sounds like Megan was lying to everyone to secure her safety. Unfortunately for her, she was caught in all of her lies and decided she was done with the game. There is also word that she got in a huge fight with Jessica. She apparently called the VIP concierge a whore. That’s not a good way to start the game, so it’s not all that surprising she would depart if that’s how toxic things were getting in the house. With Megan’s departure, it meant that someone else had to go on the block. That person was Alex, meaning Ramses will likely lose two out of four of his alliance members in week one. That does not bode well for his fate in the game, but with the Den of Temptation twist about to hit the house, anything can happen.
