Get In On Justin Bieber’s Birthday Plans And Haircut Status

Justin Bieber is preparing for his upcoming world tour which starts just 3 days after his March 1 birthday but he is more focused on his birthday bash, as any good teenage phenom should be. What are Bieber’s plans for the great day that he turns 17? He did reveal that he had no plans for a large birthday bash. For Bieber this might mean restricting the gathering to fewer than 1000 guests. He said he hopes his grandparents would be coming to his home to celebrate with him, and he hopes to spend some time with them. He had another reason for wanting his grandparents there and that was the all important birthday cake. “My grandma makes the best cheesecake — cherry cheesecake. She made that for my 13th birthday.” Bieber said, “I only have, like, four days, so I’m just going to relax, because I start my world tour starting on [March 4] — so just going to mentally prepare and just relax.” Bieber, would not reveal if rumored girlfriend Selena Gomez would be attending his birthday party. Bieber talked about why he cut his signature hair a few days earlier. “I just wanted to, that’s all, not really a big reason; I just woke up and said, ‘I don’t want this anymore,’ so I just cut it.” He also mentioned he was interested to see what his fans thought of the new hair style. “It’s not really about that. You know, the fans really liked it, but they’ll like me no matter what, because I think it’s about the music. I’m really excited to see what the fans overseas think and take it day by day.” If Justin Bieber has been led to believe that it is his music that is responsible for his massive popularity, then he may be in for a rude awakening one day. REVIEW: Never Let Me Go Can’t Get a Handle on Its Understated Source Material

For those viewers who haven’t read Kazuo Ishiguro’s novel, and aren’t expecting an elegantly understated, devastating allegory of the human condition, Never Let Me Go might work on its own terms, as a classic love story with a sci-fi twist. But, like last year’s The Road , another loving adaptation of a contemporary classic, Never Let Me Go teases out the novel’s central drama but neglects the mysteries at its margins — the gathering clouds that actually produce the storm.

Is it fair for rival parties to run street people on third-party tickets in an effort to siphon mainstream votes?

Arizona Republicans are running “street people” on the Green Party ticket to siphon votes from Democrats. Is this fair play? From the New York Times: “Did I recruit candidates? Yes,” said Mr. May, who is himself a candidate for the State Legislature, on the Republican ticket. “Are they fake candidates? No way.” “Are you fake, Grandpa?” he said to Anthony Goshorn, 53, a candidate for the State Senate whose bushy white beard and paternal manner have earned him that nickname on the streets. “I’m real,” he replied. To make his point, Mr. May went by Starbucks, the gathering spot of the Mill Rats, as the frequenters of Mill Avenue are known. “Are you fake, Benjamin?” he yelled out to Mr. Pearcy, who cried out “No,” with an expletive attached. “Are you fake, Thomas?” Mr. May shouted in the direction of Thomas Meadows, 27, a tarot card reader with less than a dollar to his name who is running for state treasurer. He similarly disagreed. added by: joshuaheller

Tila Tequila Attacked at Concert, Wounded by Beer Bottles, Feces

From there, this is what she told TMZ went down: “I went onstage and immediately, before I even got on stage, DUDES were throwing HUGE STONE ROCKS in my face, beer bottles that slit my eye open, almost burnt my hair on fire cuz they threw fire crackers on stage, and they even took the sh*t out of the port-0-potty and threw sh*t and piss at me when I was onstage.” Continued Tila: These people were trying to kill me.

Gulf oil spill threatens world’s largest fish

Whale sharks, the biggest fish in the sea, may be the latest victims of the massive Gulf of Mexico oil spill. Officials at the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration reported this week that four of the polka-dotted creatures, stretching about 40 feet long, had been spotted swimming alongside oil in search of food. Since whale sharks are filter feeders — scooping up plankton and small fish with their gaping mouths as they swim just beneath the surface — scientists are concerned they will swallow large amounts of toxic oil and die. “The problem is that these are surface feeding animals and if they digest the oil they will sink and we will not know how many are dying,” said Dr. Eric Hoffmayer, who has studied whales in the northern Gulf for the University of Southern Mississippi. “I don't think there is any question we're going to lose whale sharks to this oil spill. That's why we need to tag these sharks so that we can determine how they are impacted by the oil,” Hoffmayer told Reuters. Hoffmayer spent three days on the Gulf where he and other researchers discovered an extraordinary gathering of more than 100 feeding whale sharks about 90 miles south of Grand Isle, La. The site where they were feeding was about 60 miles west of BP Plc's blown-out Macondo well off the Louisiana coast and the gathering of whale sharks was among the largest seen in the northern Gulf of Mexico, Hoffmayer said. In addition to the danger inherent in swallowing oil, it could cause untold harm to the giant but vulnerable fish when they force the water they feed on, after it is sucked into their mouths, to filter out through their gills. Hoffmayer and a team of marine scientists came up with a plan Thursday to tag the sharks so they can track their movements and hopefully find out if oil is being digested. One of the big problems, he said, is that there is no known way of steering the whale sharks away from oil contaminated areas of the Gulf. Marine scientists in Mississippi are hoping to save other species from the oil, which breached Mississippi's mainland this week for the first time. http://www.canada.com/technology/environment/Gulf spill threatens world largest fish/3236621/story.html http://www.canada.com/technology/environment/3236622.bin?size=620×400 added by: julesrs007
