Over the weekend, Max George (who shot down a certain redheaded trainwreck the night of the most recent Lindsay Lohan arrest ) simply Tweeted: “Psy and me getting messy #geekandproud.” Zayn Malik then responded that “the first step is totally acceptance. #geekoftheweek. You display just how much of a wannabe you are.” And, from there – as one of our favorite Anchorman quotes would say – things escalated quickly… “That’s not very nice, @ZaynMalik. I was just starting to like you and your RnB songs, too,” George wrote, backed up by Tom Parker of The Wanted, who chimed in with: “Zayn Malik had his ‘1 Stripes’ knickers in a twist, bro.” “Mate, if I had a face like yours, my hair would be the last thing I would worry about,” replied Zayn, followed by Louis Tomlinson telling Parker to “pipe down.” From there, it turned especially ugly… STD-style! Malik shot off to The Wanted, addressing members of the group with: “Let’s not even discuss vocal ability, boys. I would love to chat but have to run through rehearsals.” And after George Tweeted for him to “stay off the bud” because “it makes you cranky,” Malik actually fired back: ” Alright chlamydia boy .” “Tell me you’re problems without the 8 security in NYC.. The only problem I have with you is the s–t banter. Grow up son,” Max responded, and the exchange was capped off with Zayn’s: “I’d f–king love to, see you in New York big man ha u clown.” All the fiery Tweets were eventually deleted, but not before they were seen by millions of followers, all of whom are likely now debating: Which band would actually win in a fight, One Direction or The Wanted? Lincoln took the spotlight at a rainy premiere Thursday night, closing out AFI Fest 2012. But whispers of Star Wars made their way to the red carpet. Steve Spielberg , however, took the speculation head-on, saying he won’t direct any future Star Wars installments. The long-time colleague and friend of George Lucas gave an emphatic negative about possibly taking on directing the planned Episode 7 , set for 2015. “No, no!” he told Access Hollywood at the Lincoln event. “It’s not my genre. It’s my best friend George’s genre.” Furthermore, he said he’s no longer interested in action-pics (though he has signed on for Sci-Fi thriller Robopocalypse post- Lincoln ). “I knew I could do the action in my sleep at this point in my career,” he said. “In my life, the action doesn’t hold any … it doesn’t attract me any more,” he said recently on 60 Minutes . Star Wars will return courtesy of the sale of Lucasfilm to The Walt Disney Company for $4.05 billion, which promptly said it will launch a new installment in the huge franchise in 2015 and that a Star Wars 8 and 9 are also on tap. But just how much Lucas will oversee the next Star Wars movies is still a matter of speculation. He said in the official statement about Lucasfilms’ sale that it’s “…Now time for me to pass Star Wars on to a new generation of filmmakers. I’ve always believed that Star Wars could live beyond me, and I thought it was important to set up the transition during my lifetime.” He also said recently at a post-sale event that he’d like to do “little personal films” going forward and that he’s turning the ship over to another long-time collaborator. “I’ve turned it over to a wonderful producer, Kathy Kennedy, and I’ve known her for years,” he said. “She’s more than capable of taking it and making it better than I did.” He added, “It’s very sad. George P. Bush, the son of Jeb Bush, nephew of George W. Bush and grandson of George H.W. Bush, has filed to run for office in the state of Texas. The 36-year-old Bush has made a campaign filing in Texas that is required of candidates planning to run for state office, an official said Thursday night. A Fort Worth resident, he filed a campaign treasurer appointment Wednesday, a requirement for someone to become a candidate under campaign finance law. The report does not specify what office George P. Bush might seek, if any, and there were no other details on the filing, which wasn’t available online. In September, he did acknowledge his goal was to run for office in the near future and confirmed that he had his eyes on several statewide offices. Raised in Florida, where his dad was governor, Bush decided to settle in Texas, home to his uncle and his grandfather, former President George H.W. Bush. He runs a consulting firm and has been active in Republican Party outreach to college students. He’s also the co-founder of Hispanic Republicans of Texas. Jeb Bush married Columba Garnica Gallo, a Mexican-born philanthropist, in 1974. They also have another son, Jeb Jr., and a daughter, Noelle. Ana Navarro, who was the national Hispanic co-chairwoman for John McCain when he ran for president in 2008, tweeted her enthusiasm Thursday: “Wrote check for my friend, @georgepbush newly formed exploratory committee for office in TX. Young, pragmatic, Hispanic, just what GOP needs.” Bush and his wife, Amanda, met while attending law school at the University of Texas. After working as a lawyer, Bush became a partner in a real estate investment firm. He has started his second company, St. Augustine Partners, a business consulting firm aimed at small- and medium-market energy industries. Bush also has Navy service on his resume, including a six-month deployment to Afghanistan, where, for security purposes, he was given a different name. Not even those he was serving alongside knew he was a Bush.
So, Stacy Keibler brought George Clooney to the Argo premiere. Or I guess it was actually the other way around, since Stacy wasn’t exactly being invited to things like this before she started banging one of the most famous guys in Hollywood. It was rumored that these two had broken up, but obviously that’s not the case.
