We can think of some folks who probably have it harder Shemar . SMH. It ain’t easy being beautiful, or sexy let Shemar Moore tell it. In a recent interview he wouldn’t stop whining about how hard he has it and we thought we’d share: “I’m not in very good shape right now,” declared Shemar Moore, but if that’s the case, then heaven help the rest of the guys on the planet. At 41, he’s got the physique of a guy a decade or two younger. “As I get older it’s getting harder and harder, but it’s part of my image to look a certain way, so I’m holding on,” laughed Moore, whose often physically demanding role as special agent Derek Morgan in Criminal Minds helps on that score. The CBS procedural action-drama series, about an elite team of profilers who hunt down serial killers, begins its seventh season on September 21. The show’s longevity is something Moore attributes to the cast’s chemistry, smart scriptwriting and a realistic, cinematic feel. “It’s like Silence of the Lambs meets Seven,” he revealed before a fall preview party at the Paley Center for Media in Beverly Hills on Tuesday night. The show’s crimes tend to be grisly, but Moore isn’t fazed. “I know it’s pretend,” said the actor, up for whatever the role requires. “I’d never owned a gun. I don’t like guns. My mother hates that I carry a gun. But I look like I know what I’m doing,” explains Moore, who relates a lot to his TV character. “He’s a tough guy … you understand why he has the bravado that he has, but underneath all that [he] is a softie with a big heart, and vulnerabilities and insecurities that justify why he’s guarded. His passion comes from a good place but it gets him in trouble.” Moore considers himself just as passionate, physically capable, and slow-to-trust as his character, “but I’m not as tough, not looking for the fight. I get along with everybody. Derek is a little more hot-tempered.” While Moore didn’t aim to be a role model, “I just know that, in my actions, in my career and my life, people are watching me around the world and are inspired by me, so I am very aware that my choices matter, but I’m not gonna live my life for other people.” His guiding principle? “As long as I stay true to me. If I entertain you, or if I move you to be better, great, or if you say you feel like you relate to me, I feel that’s a better compliment than asking for an autograph.” Paging Billy Dee Williams — STAT! Can you please talk some sense into this man about how a young playboy is supposed to age into a distinguished gentleman? Other than the insecure business, Shemar seems like such a nice boy. One you’d have to fight for the mirror. But nice. Fame Pictures Source
Well, so much for that “biggest paycheck of the season” situation. Indianapolis quarterback Peyton Manning, the NFL’s only four-time most valuable player, underwent another neck surgery Thursday and could sit out the entire season and possibly more. It was the third neck procedure in 19 months for Manning, 35, who has missed only one play because of injury in 14 seasons. The development is probably crippling to the Colts, who scrambled to sign veteran Kerry Collins two weeks ago and will start him Sunday at Houston. In a team statement, the Colts called the procedure — anterior cervical fusion surgery — “uneventful” but said rehabilitation from it is “typically an involved process” and did not give a timetable for his return. The Colts plan to keep him on the active roster “until we have a clear picture of his recovery process.” Before the team announced the surgery had taken place, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell said the league had been monitoring the situation. “Peyton isn’t just a great football player, he’s a great man,” Goodell said. “He’s done all the right things on and off the field. “I’ve been in touch with [the Colts]. I can’t do anything but hope that he gets better quick and gets to a full recovery.” The procedure was to treat nerve problems that lingered after Manning’s surgery May 23, and the quarterback reportedly had hit a plateau in regaining strength in his triceps. Anterior fusion surgery involves making an incision in the front of the neck, removing the disk tissue between the vertebrae and replacing it with a plastic-like spacer that causes the neighboring vertebrae to fuse together. Recovery time for such an operation can take at least eight to 10 weeks, and sometimes requires a year or more. “With professional football players, the neck has to be fully back to strength and healed,” said Dr. Rick Delamarter, medical director of the spine program at Cedars Sinai in Los Angeles. “Even three months could be rushing it.” Delamarter, who has not treated Manning but has performed neck operations on many NFL players and other professional athletes, said there’s a possibility the Colts could have their star quarterback back by late December or January, but added: “I wouldn’t be at all surprised if they decide to keep him out for the year.” It’s not all bad news though: experts don’t see any reason why this condition and surgery should end Peyton’s career. There is something verrrrry suspect about a man putting his mouth on a snake… A snakebite in a north Sacramento neighborhood left the victim seriously hurt, but the injured party isn’t whom you’d expect. David Senk, 54, was jailed on suspicion of maiming or mutilating a reptile, with bail set at $10,000, the Sacramento Bee reported. Police say a python underwent emergency surgery after a man allegedly bit the creature twice. Officers were called to Del Paso Heights around 6:30 p.m. Thursday after a passer-by reported that a man was lying on the ground and might have been assaulted, according to Sgt. Andrew Pettit. When they arrived, they found David Senk, 54, still lying there — but police say he wasn’t the one who was assaulted. Another man approached officers and accused Senk of taking two bites out of his pet python, Pettit said. The man, who was an acquaintance of Senk, told police that the suspect asked to hold the pet, then began biting, the Sacramento Bee reported. Senk was arrested on suspicion of unlawfully maiming or mutilating a reptile and booked on $10,000 bail. Damn, $10,000?! For biting a snake?! Wow… Source

Marshall has been in the news recently thanks to domestic violence issues that came from his wife allegedly stabbing him in self-defense. While the world was wondering what his issues were, Brandon was battling some personal demons.
