Just Being Honest: Sevyn Says She Once Contemplated Suicide

Alberto E. Rodriguez/Getty Images So sad… Sevyn Reveals Depression Battle Sevyn is revealing intimate details about her personal life including a serious battle with depression. The “Just Being Honest” songstress is revealing that she secretly contemplated ending her life and only her family members knew about it. “I dealt with depression on a very serious level for like a year-and-a-half, and I never said anything to my fans,” Sevyn told Vibe Vixen. “Obviously, my mom and my dad and my brother, a few family members, knew about it — but it was really, really hard. I wanted to kill myself, I really did. And through my family, and God and prayer, it turned around. So what triggered Sevyn’s bout with depression? Turning 30. “Turning 30 was a big trigger for me,” added Sevyn. “This is not like when you graduate high school and you get your diploma. You go to college for four years, or whatever period of time, and you get your degree. You did it, and you get to move on. I’ve literally been doing the same exact thing every day with the same amount of intensity and focus, since I was 15 years old. To look up and be 30 years old, and to feel like this hasn’t happened yet, but you can’t quit because you’re just going to be throwing away all the years that you put into it [music]. That in itself can take a toll. I don’t care what you do in life, you want to be successful, you want to feel like you accomplished certain things.” We’re so glad to see that Sevyn’s in a much better place. She’s currently promoting her debut album “Girl Disrupted” that hit stores July 7. Will you be buying???

According to TMZ , Carti was arrested at LAX after getting into a physical altercation with his girlfriend, Rubi. Cops and witnesses say Playboi Carti and his lady got into a fight and began to push on another. At some point, Carti allegedly pushed Rubi out the door, then threw her into an Uber. Cops showed up and put the bracelets on him and took him away. He posted $20,000 bail this morning. Not sure what kind of backlash Carti will get from this, but putting your hands on a woman is surefire way to be looked upon as a class A scumbag. Raped South American Teen Sentenced  30 Years In Prison Over Still Birth According to The Guardian reports,  A 19-year-old from El Salvador has been sentenced to 30 years in jail for the stillbirth of her rapist’s child. How, Sway?? Reports says the teen girl, Evelyn Beatriz Hernandez Cruz, was convicted on the grounds that failing to seek antenatal care amounted to murder. The teen says she didn’t know she was pregnant until she gave birth in a toilet last year, after falling ill with acute back and stomach pain. She had been repeatedly raped by a gang member over several months as part of a forced sexual relationship according to reports. But, east El Salvadorian courts still found her guilty of ‘murdering’ her baby by not providing the proper prenatal care. Evelyn’s story is causing outrage, prompting women to protest for her freedom. Getty Images Venus Williams Gets Protective Order Against Barson Family Venus Williams just won a protective court order against the family of Jerome Barson . Recently the family brought a wrongful death case against the tennis star, claiming she is liable for damages after the car crash which led to his death. According to The Daily Mail, Williams won the first legal round in the court case over the death, gaining an emergency protective order against the Barsons. The reports doesn’t specify the reason behind Williams’ speedy protective motion. Maybe it’s a preemptive measure to protect herself? Venus has yet to file her response to the wrongful death lawsuit that was filed by Barson’s family on June 30.The family of the 78-year-old is suing Venus Williams claiming she is liable for his death after a car crash in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida,  on June 9. Unfortunately, police determine Venus was to blame for the fatal crash.

Apparently this is the stuff that Officer DeAngelo finds hilarious. No surprise there, he is Boston cop. We already know how THEY get down. @bostonpolice officer Joseph DeAngelo Jr. wrote a letter of apology after making a “racially insensitive” video. #Boston pic.twitter.com/cQXkCMYZRM — Jan Ransom (@Jan_Ransom) June 29, 2017 Subsequent to his suspension, DeAngelo wrote this fake azz “apology” letter. Police Commissioner William B. Evans seems more than satisfied that it’s genuine and heartfelt… “It was clear from Officer DeAngelo’s interview that he feels significant remorse for his actions and now realizes the impact this video has had on our community,” Evans said. “Officer DeAngelo readily admitted to the conduct and has fully taken responsibility for his actions.” There is no way that DeAngelo should be welcomed back to a badge and a gun after an incident like this. There is ZERO room for any level of racism in a police force that has the power to dictate the life and death of Black citizens. F**k ’em.
