Laurieann Gibson’s E! show, tentatively titled ‘The Dance Scene,’ set for April 10 premiere. By Jocelyn Vena Laurieann Gibson Photo: Stephen Lovekin/Getty Images 2011 is bound to be a big year for Lady Gaga , and now it seems that her choreographer, Laurieann Gibson, is also poised for a big year. Gibson will star in her own E! reality show, tentatively titled “The Dance Scene,” set to premiere in April, EW reports . The show will follow Gibson as she trains assistant choreographers and dancers to work with celebrities. Ryan Seacrest, who will serve as the show’s producer, explains, “Dance is at the center of pop culture — today more than ever — and Laurieann is an amazing force accelerating this huge wave of creativity. This series gives audiences an insider’s view of how competitive the dance world is, the talent and ambition that a dancer needs to be successful in the Hollywood scene, and the drama that ensues along the way.” The eight episode docu-series will officially debut April 10. “The competitive world of the professional dancer is grueling creative work,” said Lisa Berger, executive vice president of programming at E!. “Watching Laurieann mentor these young artists, who will do anything to make it in the business, gives us a glimpse into a world where the pursuit of success and excellence outweighs all else.” Gibson most recently worked with Gaga, but has also worked with Diddy and Alicia Keys. She’s also tasted reality show life, having appeared on “Making the Band” and “Skating With the Stars.” This week, Gibson tweeted about filming her show, writing , “In London.. Shooting new show on E”!!! Its gonna be Epic.!!” She later tweeted a photo of her cameramen, adding, “Lookin’ good guys! He and the beauty ended their eight-year relationship over the weekend, as the latter’s rep says “the split was amicable, and they remain close friends.” Kunis has already been nominated for a Golden Globe for her role in Black Swan . Oscar buzz is also circulating around the actress, who has been open in the past about her views on marriage. “It’s just not something that’s important to me,” Kunis said in December 2009. “I’m too selfish to have [children] now, but when I do, I don’t feel like I need to be married. I need to have a person in my life who will care for me and my children – nothing else.”

Mel Gibson claims Oksana Grigorieva tried to extort him, and despite what a shady character she is, proving that claim is proving difficult. The investigation of Gibson’s accusations that his former flame and the mother of his daughter tried to extort him is weak, reports indicate. “It’s looking more and more like no crime was committed by Ms. Grigorieva,” a well placed source with knowledge of the situation says. Is Oksana Grigorieva about to be let off the hook? The troubled actor is being investigated for domestic violence against Oksana Grigorieva , a separate investigation also nearing its end. Mel Gibson and his attorney, Blair Berk, met with officials to discuss what they believe was deliberate extortion on the part of Oksana. But it looks like actual evidence is thinner than Lindsay Lohan. “There is simply no smoking gun against Oksana,” the source said . “There are emails which Gibson’s camp say is clearly extortion.” But those emails can also be viewed in the context of an ongoing negotiation between Mel and Oksana regarding custody of Lucia. That makes it tougher to prove extortion, the sources say. Oksana was represented by a very well regarded lawyer, Eric George and walked away from the large settlement she tried to procure, said the well-placed source, noting complications in any potential criminal case against Oksana. Extortion is always hard to prove, especially if the person being accused was already repped by a lawyer and in a custody dispute. Unless you’re the idiot who tried to bilk David Letterman and make it beyond obvious, it’s very tough to make the charge stand up. The Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department hasn’t officially handed over the extortion case to the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office.
