Nicki Minaj will debut her “Moment 4 Life” video Thursday on MTV at 7:54 p.m. ET, and the Young Money megastar will answer questions live immediately following the premiere. Minaj will sit down with MTV News’ Sway and field questions from her Barbie army in an interview that will be broadcast on MTV, followed by a live stream on MTV.com. MTV News stopped by the Los Angeles video set and scored footage of Minaj filming in a palatial mansion alongside Drake — with whom she’s rumored to smooch in the clip. Rocking a draped aqua gown with a chunky jewel-encrusted bodice, a sparkly headpiece set atop a jet-black wig, and, of course, bubblegum-pink nails and lipstick, Minaj strolls into the expansive manor. Sporting an all-black ensemble, Drake clutches a martini as he looks over the balcony at his Young Money cohort. “To do something with Drake is the best, because this is really my friend,” Minaj told MTV News on set. The platinum-selling star added that she’s making the visual extra-special since she’s got Drizzy along for the ride. “So we put a couple things in there that we’re not gonna give away.” Drake also spoke to us about Minaj’s meteoric rise, recalling their humble beginnings as buzzy Lil Wayne signees trekking around the country with their Young Money family on tour. “To think of the girl that I used to ride the bus with — and that’s what she was to me: this girl that I rode the bus with,” he said. “I was like, ‘Female rap?’ And I’m being dead honest with you. [I thought,] ‘Man, it’s been a while since there’s been a female rapper, and I’m curious to see how this works.’ It’s not that I didn’t believe.
