While the sixth month of the year usually sheds a light on the artist, we went a little deeper and looked at the melanin queens that made history though musical visuals. We’re kicking it off with none other than Ola Ray from Michael Jackson’s Thriller . It’s been a minute since we’ve seen Hilary Swank on the big (or small) screen, but the Academy Award winner is back, and has taken her talents to Netflix. ‘I Am Mother’ is an intense thriller science fiction flick starring Ms. Swank, Clara Rugaard and Rose Byrne — who voices the character of Robot Mother. The movie tells the story of female robot in a bunker raising a teenager while giving the impression that the world above is not fit for human life. When a gunshot-wounded woman (played by Swank) arrives at the bunker door, she threatens that idea, calling into question everything the girl was told about the outside world. The girl then start to explore the robot’s nature and discovers the truth of Mother’s greater mission. We caught up with Hilary and Clara as they dished on all things digital, dark and deceptive. When asked about one thing they were taught as children that turned out to be a lie, Clara joked: “Well, the toothfairy! Santa Clause?” Hilary gave a more in depth response, adding: “I think both of our families are very liberal and open-minded, so they didn’t tell us…” Clara: “…Lies to make us unravel ourselves. But I think parents do things to protect their children.” Hilary: “I think both our parents are like ‘We’re all one people’, ‘Treat people how you want to be treated. When the family takes a trip to the countryside, he ends up getting schooled by Rooster played by Harrison Ford, a gruff farm dog who tries to cure the lovable pooch of his neuroses. Back at the Apartment building, Snowball, voiced by Kevin Hart goes on a mission with Daisy, voiced by Tiffany Haddish, who saw a baby tiger getting abused and she needs Captain Snowball to save the day. I sat down with Kevin Hart to discuss this role, his long terms plans and retirement as well as discovering his Secret Life. He knows absolutely nothing about how to work his house. “People know how I am but you don’t know how I am. If you could actually see me in my house it’s probably the funniest thing ever. I’m just the dad that don’t know nothing! I don’t know sh*t! Bay bay! Baby!! The theater thing went off. How I get it back on? Bay Bay!!” After my interview with Kevin, I sat down with Bobby Moynihan and Lake Bell to have some fun about pets and asked them If Goofy is a dog and if so why is Pluto a dog? Bobby summed it up very quickly saying “They both dogs!” Bobby and Lake also join on board to make a passionate call to get DMX to be in the third installment of Secret Life of Pets. The reason for which so many people are eager to attack her is no real mystery, but it seems that only Priyanka Chopra is willing to say it. The hate engine that constantly attacks Meghan? It’s fueled by racism. In an interview with The Sunday Times , Priyanka Chopra spoke about the absolute vitriol that has been directed at Meghan Markle. The most famous of Meghan’s haters, of course, are members of her own family. But even the media — especially British tabloids — have taken a hard line, blaming her for any and all societal ills. Priyanka understates that this cruel coverage is “really unfortunate.” “But,” she notes. “If there’s anyone who can handle it, it’s her.” When asked if she believes that the bizarre animosity is rooted in racism, Priyanka speaks the truth. “For sure, 100%,” Priyanka accurately replies. “Of course it has to do with racism.” So many people have tried to tiptoe around and avoid calling out famously racist British tabloids for their blatant racism. But not Priyanka. She explains that “it’s an obvious reason.” “But the beauty of Meg,” Priyanka praises. “Is that she’s been herself through all of this.” Priyanke then goes on to praise her friend’s authenticity — while also reminding the world that they were friends before Meghan was on any royal radar. “A lot of people got to know her after everything [once she started dating Harry],” Priyanka notes. “But I knew her before,” she adds. The people inventing claims that Meghan is the source of tension between the royal brothers have no excuse. The only non-racist explanation for the hate is a blind resentment because she’s American. S.K. and her friends are said to have regularly sent each other non-sexual videos described as “silly” in the spirit of friendly competition. When S.K. sent a 1-minute video of herself inhaling an eggplant emoji, her friends not only shared it in school, but went and told the police! During S.K.’s initial trial back in 2016 both the state and the special court of appeals agreed that the girl had violated the law. ‘The state has an indisputable interest in protecting minors from exploitation ‘as subjects in pornographic material’ . . . whether at the hands of others or by their own conduct,’ wrote the chief judge. The Maryland Court of Appeals will make the final decision later this year after the girl’s lawyer argued that S.K. was not victim of a crime as she sent the sexually explicit video voluntarily. ‘The statute is intended as a vehicle to protect, not prosecute, minors victimized and exploited in the production of sexually explicit videos,’ Claudia Cortese defending wrote. He Thinks The Dennis Hof Tried To Kill Him Source: Bobby Bank / Getty Lamar Odom thinks the late Dennis Hofman, former owner of The Bunny Ranch, in Nevada where he overdosed in 2015, tried to kill him. “There was an unholy concoction of cocaine, cognac and cannabis coursing through my veins,” he wrote in a snippet from his book. “My heart stopped twice. I had twelve seizures and six strokes. My lungs collapsed and my kidneys ruptured. I was on life support.” Odom claims, despite overdosing, he didn’t willfully take any drugs and would like to “clear his name.” Odom was found unconscious three days after checking into the famous brothel. “I think Dennis Hof… I don’t know what he had against me, but I didn’t do drugs that night, to be honest with you,” Odom said in a recent interview on The View. “So I don’t know if he tried to poison me, or … I don’t know what he had against me. He tried to kill me.” “He almost succeeded, though,” he said. “I didn’t [take drugs that night]. I’ve been at odds with my daughter [Destiny] about this. She’s like, ‘Leave it alone.’ I would like to clear my name.” He Dated Taraji P.
