Fatherhood Quotes From Black Celebrity Dads

My name is Lilee and I live in Townsville, Australia. One thing…

My name is Lilee and I live in Townsville, Australia . One thing that really bothers me is that people instantly assume that I am ‘in love’ with Justin Bieber just because I am a fan of his, but for me this is not the case. I can honestly say that I simply just appreciate his music and nothing else. On December 9th, 2010 myself and my two friends Nicole (@thatnicolekidd) and Candace (@candiebritton) bought our VIP tickets through a pre-sale and were lucky enough to get second row center stage seats. Before this I had never cried over anything Bieber related but I think it was purely over the fact that we had prayed for these exact seats in the exact section and God had answered our prayers. I honestly mean that. Finally, April 22nd 2011 came and we flew from Townsville to Brisbane which was where the concert was. As we were waiting in the Brisbane Airport my friends and I were saying how this didn’t seem real when just at that moment this older couple were walking towards us. I couldn’t figure out who they were but I just knew that I knew their names. Suddenly it hit me that they were Justin’s Grandparents. His Grandmother walked past us and I said hello. She replied and I said I’d see her at the concert on Tuesday. She replied “Yes Tuesday. See you girls there!” She was absolutely friendly and more than happy to talk to us. So that night we went into Brisbane city and were walking near the Hilton hotel when these 3 guys walked passed us. I thought one of them was Scrappy but I wasn’t sure so I didn’t say anything. But then he started talking and I just knew it was him. About 20 minutes later we walked to McDonalds where we found Scrappy and a bunch of other guys sitting down. I worked up the courage to approach him later on out on the street and he was absolutely shocked that I recognised him . He introduced us to some of the other crew members as he conversed with us. They all made fun of my accent and I got about 10 photos with Scrappy and a random video. Before we left he told us he’d wave to us at the concert since he knew where we were sitting. The next day we went back into the city and met a bunch more people from the crew including Scrappy again. He told us that Justin had gotten stuck in Bali due to problems with his jet. I met Michael Vargas 3 times that day and night, Legaci, the other back up dancers , more stage crew members, Marcus (the One Less Lonely Boy) who is incredibly funny and we spoke to Scrappy again. The next day was April 26th – concert day. We basically spent all day getting ready. When we arrived at the Brisbane Entertainment Center everyone had to line up at security. My friends and I were at the front of the line and across from where we were you could see into the windows at the top of the venue. At one point, Ryan Good walked by and so did Justin. He opened the window and waved and was hoping up and down trying to tease us. Of course everyone went crazy. It was adorable. So when we got inside the venue to our seats Scrappy was doing his thing on stage and waved to us as promised. Several times girls kept screaming and pointing to backstage as if they’d seen something. I looked and I saw Justin’s head running away. This only got me more excited for the show. When DJ Tay James was on stage doing his thing Scooter walked on stage to talk to him and I managed to get a photo of Scooter looking directly at my camera. In the first song of the show I held up this tiny sign which read, ‘Hey Dan, @teamkanterAUS’ with an arrow pointing down at me. You see, I own that account and Dan Kanter follows me on it and has tweeted and rt’d me a few times. I literally held the sign up for 2 seconds when he saw it and pointed at me and mouthed ‘OMG, THAT’S YOU?!’ with a massive smile on his face. Of course I and my friends lost it. Dan threw his first guitar pick to me and I caught it. During the night he threw me another one so I have 2 of his guitar picks. He also kept throwing them at my friends and one of them was lucky enough to catch one. Dan was constantly smiling and waving to us all night. Legaci also recognised us and randomly waved which was awesome. At the beginning of ‘Baby’ Michael Vargas was standing directly in front of me when he randomly remembered me from the day before I guess, and so he pointed at me and waved. After the concert, we drove into the city. We randomly decided to walk down some random part of the mall when who do we see? Dan Kanter and Scrappy. They were at some bar with Allison Kaye, Scooter’s assistant and a bunch of other people from the crew. I didn’t even wave at Dan, he just recognised us, waved and then came straight over to us. I shook his hand and introduced myself. He wouldn’t stop thanking me for the account I made for him and he also told me that he had hoped to meet me on the Australian leg of the My World Tour. I died at that point. Haha. He is honestly the sweetest, most humble and genuine person I’ve ever met . We had a normal conversation with him for about 20 minutes, got photos etc and he told us that Justin and his crew are planning on coming back to Australia next year! That same night we also ran into Ryan Good, Scooter and Carin. The next morning we were sitting in the bar at the Sofitel when Dan walked in and came over to our table and was like ‘What’s up guys?’ I don’t think I’ve ever come across any ‘famous’ person in such a ‘normal’ way. He was just like anyone else. Before he left we spoke again. Ryan, Allison, Alfredo, Scooter, Kenny, PJ and Carin were also there. Kenny, Alfredo and PJ stayed behind while the others left for Sydney. We knew Justin was on bed rest so we bought $75 purple flowers and a card which his Grandpa so kindly took up to Justin for us. Candace and I had to fly back to Townsville that night and Nicole was staying for Chris Brown’s concert. Before I left we had a conversation with Alfredo and got photos. The next morning back in Townsville I check my twitter to find I have a mention from someone saying “So you’re one of the girls that gave Justin flowers. Did you get the note from his Grandma?” I freaked out and called Nicole and our other friend Anj (@anjieg) who were still in Brisbane. Long story short, Nicole ran into Justin’s Grandparents before they left for Sydney and we got our note. One of our friends Maddie didn’t get the chance to come to Brisbane for Justin’s concert so her and I spontaneously bought flights to Adelaide and left 2 days later without concert tickets. We knew God would provide for us so we went anyway. In Adelaide we met my friend Anj who was also going to the concert there. We had hoped to be one of the lucky ones who got given tickets by Scooter or Kenny but sadly they didn’t seem to come out. We waited outside the venue in 5 degree weather all night. I knew we couldn’t give up. Exactly half way through the show these 3 random girls came out and gave us their tickets!! We sprinted through the venue screaming, ran down the stairs and into the Auditorium where Justin was half way through performing ‘One Time’. Maddie lost it. She was so upset that all her friends had already seen Justin and she hadn’t but now there she was.. in the same room as Justin Bieber. We couldn’t believe how Good God had been to us. We travelled all the way from Northern Australia to the very bottom of the country with NO tickets to go to a SOLD OUT concert and we managed to get in. It’s all about faith. The next day we met Justin’s drummer in an Alley way where we just had a casual conversation about life and traveling. He was amazed we’d traveled so far with no tickets. After that I met Justin’s Grandparents again where I thanked them in person for holding onto our note in Brisbane. I met Ryan Good and Alfredo Flores again. I also met Dan again who recognised me and screamed “OMG HEY! DID YOU GO TO THE SHOW LAST NIGHT?!” I’ll never forget the people I met, the friends I made or how incredible both of Justin’s concerts were. I am forever grateful that he took the time to write myself, Anj, Nicole and Candace a thank you note and I am completely amazed at how lovely, friendly and genuine everyone on Bieber’s crew is. Team bieber forever. April 22nd-May 6th, 2011 Continue reading here: My name is Lilee and I live in Townsville, Australia. One thing…

It was the 20th of April (the concert was on the 23rd) and me,…

It was the 20th of April (the concert was on the 23rd) and me, my friend Sarah along with my mum were going to Jakarta (we live in Bali). A day before the concert, we made posters, but when we got to the arena, they took them away. Anyways, Sarah then said “Oh, dude check your emails”. When I did, there was one that said, ‘ CONGRATS BIEBER FAN!’   We didn’t even open the email and me and Sarah started to jump up and down and screaming! I can’t explain how EXCITED we were. But I did have some doubts. Doubts that we won’t meet Justin, because of the lame Indonesian promoters. I was so scared they’d get in the way! The day of the concert, wow! We were so excited. I went with course Sarah, my sister, a family friend and her mum, and another family friend. Even thought the concert was not until 8pm, we set off from my house at around 11 am. When we got there, I was ecstatic. Not only would I be meeting JUSTIN BIEBER in a few hours but I have never seen so much beliebers in my whole life. It was great! People did keep looking at Sarah & I, I think because we were like the only ones not in head to toe purple! When we got to the grounds, we decided to ask around for the Bieber meet & greets. We asked promoters, press, sponsors, EVERYONE. “No, I have no idea what you’re talking about. No. I don’t know. Go ask another person. No. No. NOOOOO.” I was getting frustrated how it was disorganized. Then I met Thia, a person I only met that morning on Twitter because she had won the contest too! Finally a person came out holding envelopes that consisted of the wristbands! We went in the venue and met these two other girls, Julia and Nanda. They too had won the contest. Nanda, being the extremely lucky one, saw Alfredo. DUDE I LOVE ALFREDO! When I went into the room, I wasn’t thinking, I was in awe. I smiled for the picture (I’m the tall one on the left) and watched the two oldies that had been in the picture go out. Moment of glory. Seeing his small, gorgeous, fair face and soft hair. I didn’t spaz or anything. I didn’t do anything. I was in SHOCK. Thank god i had the courage to ask him for a hug. I said thank you so much Justin, and he was like no problem. Did Justin Bieber really say that to me? Yes he did! We skipped out the room like maniacs, covering our mouths. As Sarah and I were waiting to go in the concert room, we couldn’t keep quiet. When we saw my sister, we couldn’t help but scream “WE HUGGED JUSTIN BIEBER!” Of course we got looks and attention from everyone. We watched the concert drooling over the OLLG performance. I was the OLLG btw. LOL JK. Sarah and I went home happy beliebers, believing that the cliche never say never is real. So guys, NEVER SAY NEVER! If you dream just big enough like me, things can happen. Even if it was just for 2 seconds. My dream came true. I had made a new years resolution list earlier in the year, one of the them being this. The one that seemed most impossible became possible. At 13, I achieved my life goal. See the rest here: It was the 20th of April (the concert was on the 23rd) and me,…

Nigerian One-Time Pops Freak Holding 32 Knocked Up Teens Hostage On Baby Farm, He Planned To Sell Their Newborns As Sex Slaves!!!

Jesus Take The Wheel! Slavery is still going on and its most innocent victims aren’t even born yet! Authorities in Nigeria revealed their recent bust of a “baby factory” located in the southern city of Aba, where the owner of a clinic known as The Cross Foundation was harboring pregnant girls with plans to sell their newborns into the country’s human trafficking and sex trade markets. According to Agence France-Presse, some of the girls (who ranged in age from 15 to 17-years-old) told police that the clinic’s owner Dr. Hyacinth Orikara forced them to sell their infants to him for less than $200 depending on the sex of the baby. The women were taken to the regional headquarters of an anti-trafficking organization. “We rescued 32 pregnant girls and arrested the proprietor who is undergoing interrogation over allegations that he normally sells the babies to people who may use them for rituals or other purposes,” police commissioner Bala Hassan said. Rituals??? These motherfu*kers are truly DERANGED!!! As wild as this may sound to us, baby factories/baby farms are reportedly common in western Africa, and according to UN numbers, human trafficking is the third most common crime in Nigeria after fraud and drug trafficking. In cases such as this, baby farms sell the newborns to the highest bidder and the children are used for work in factories and mines or as sex slaves. Dr. Orikara has denied the charges, telling Nigeria’s Daily Champion newspaper that the clinic simply cared for teenagers with unwanted pregnancies. Police say he could face up to 14 years in prison for selling babies. WHAT THEE F*CK!!! We live in a sick world people. Source

Death Cab For Cutie’s Guide To Seattle: Coffee And Drum Lessons From Dave Grohl

In part two of our ‘Seattle Sonics’ series, the band takes us to their Sip & Ship ‘nerve center’ and American Music shop. By James Montgomery Death Cab for Cutie’s Chris Walla and Jason McGerr Photo: MTV News SEATTLE — Chris Walla is a bit of a multitasker: That much is clear just by his rather prodigious output as a producer, solo musician and full-time member of Death Cab for Cutie . So it should probably come as no surprise that, for MTV News’ second edition of “Seattle Sonics,” Walla decided to take us to one of his favorite spots in Seatown: Sip & Ship, the kind of place that defines multitasking. See, S&S is the sort of place that seemingly only exists in Seattle: A communal, cozy combination shipping depot/coffee bar that also happens to be a gift shop. Oh, and they make a mean grilled cheese, too. Located in the city’s Ballard neighborhood — right down the block from a nefarious FedEx Office outpost — Walla first visited the shop six years ago (after a rather terrible experience at said FedEx), and in the time since, Sip & Ship has become the de facto home office for all things Death Cab. Merch, master tapes of albums, musical instruments and the occasional eBay purchase all pass through S&S. Walla has become close friends with the shop’s owners (one of them, Diana Naramore, even made a cameo in his “Sing Again” video ) and the coffee’s really great, too. “This place has become a communications and shipping and caffeine and calorie hub without which I don’t think Death Cab for Cutie would actually be able to do any business at all. This is one of the Seattle nerve centers of the band,” Walla explained. “We did a whole series of test-pressings for the new record, and we got four or five shipments of them here. We’d pick ’em up and then go home and listen to records.” Drummer Jason McGerr also chimed in: “It’s a far safer bet than my doorstep — which I don’t even step on all that often,” he said, laughing. And while Sip & Ship has been an important cog in the Death Cab machine for six years, there’s another spot nearby that’s been part of their lives for much longer: American Music, a Seattle institution since it first opened its doors in 1973 and the place where local bands (you know, like Nirvana, Soundgarden and Alice in Chains) went to get their gear. It’s not surprising that both Walla — who grew up nearby — and McGerr — who worked there in 1994, when he was 19 years old — chose it as the next place they took our cameras. “I traded all my paychecks for equipment, and I got to know a whole lot of local drummers,” McGerr said from his old post behind the American counter. “And there were times, 10 minutes before close, Dave Grohl would come in and sit down and just start blowing on drums and the front door would shut and we’d sit there and watch him. … There was always a scene happening within the store. If you played music and you got your supplies in Seattle, it was from American Music.” And American was also where you’d find Walla hanging out as a slightly awkward teenager, doing “double drummer stuff” with friend (and former Death Cab drummer) Nathan Good. And he did it mostly out of necessity, because back then, there weren’t many places 15-year-old music obsessives could hang out, due mostly to Seattle’s oppressive Teen Dance Ordinance , which made all-ages shows all but impossible to organize. And, really, to Walla, that’s what makes the place much more than a music store. It’s sort of his home away from home. “I got a lot of stuff here that was cast-off junk, but I still use it,” Walla said. “There are tons of music stores that are just enormous boxes, that are full of guitars and drums and cymbals and whatever, and they might have more stock than a place like American does, but American has the heart and soul of a music store that I want when I walk into a music store.” Death Cab for Cutie: Seattle Sonics continues all week on MTVNews.com. On Thursday, we’ll head to a vaunted (and now defunct) all-ages venue where DCFC learned how to be a band — and still made it home in time for curfew. Sean Kingston Expected To Make Full Recovery In Six Weeks

Singer reportedly suffered a broken jaw, fractured wrist, water in lungs in jet-ski crash. By Gil Kaufman Sean Kingston Photo: Getty After entering a hospital on Sunday with critical injuries from a personal watercraft crash, singer, Sean Kingston is now expected to make a full recovery from his injuries. CNN , citing two unnamed sources close to Kingston, reported that the injuries sustained in the crash should take around six weeks to heal. The sources told the news network that the “Beautiful Girls” singer suffered a broken jaw, a fractured wrist and water in his lungs. The last update from Kingston’s label, Epic Records, reported that he was in “critical but stable condition” in a Miami hospital on Tuesday. His rep also told MTV News that Kingston , 21, is “aware of what is going on around him” and that he was “sedated but fully conscious.” On Sunday, Kingston and a female passenger crashed his Sea Doo jet ski into the Palm Island Bridge at approximately 6 p.m. ET. After being rescued by an off-duty Coast Guard employee, the pop star was taken to the trauma center at Jackson Memorial Hospital, but has since been moved to the intensive care unit. TMZ spoke to Kingston’s rescuer, who said that Sean was “puking up blood out of his mouth.” Another witness told the site he noticed a gash under Kingston’s chin after the crash. Cassandra Sanchez, 23, Sean’s friend and passenger on the jet ski at the time of the accident, has since been discharged from the hospital, Kingston’s rep confirmed. Sanchez told TMZ that Kingston tried to turn away from the bridge but was going “really fast” and couldn’t avoid the crash. Sanchez also said that as Kingston was maneuvering toward the bridge, she urged him to stop and screamed out, “We can’t fit under there! Are we going to try and go under there? Sean, stop!” Sanchez told TMZ on Tuesday that she had no plans to press charges against Kingston over the crash. “I know this whole thing was just an accident,” she said. “I won’t be pressing any type of charges or hiring a lawyer. Sean is a good guy.” CNN reported that Kingston had bought the jet ski just days before the accident, as he prepared to move into a new house in Miami. An eyewitness said Sean’s life vest fell off during the crash, which caused him to sink below the water. “They were calling us over, telling us, ‘He’s drowning, he’s drowning,’ ” witness Carmen Rivera told CNN. “We jumped in the water to help him keep his head above water,” friend Jimmy Vega added. “I pushed him up, and he was vomiting what seemed like water, and then there was some blood coming out,” Jonathan Rivera said. Rapper Trav, whose new song “Up and Down” features Kingston, told CNN he visited his friend in the hospital on Monday and said Sean was “very responsive.” Send your well wishes to Kingston by leaving a comment below. My name is Dayna and I’m 14 from Sydney, Australia (far left in pic). I just wanted to say that I love this site so much and I have been reading the stories for almost a year and never (oops) ever thought that I would one day be writing my own! It was always a dream but I didn’t think it would be a reality. NEVER SAY NEVER ! My friend Annie and I entered billions of competitions since forever. The one competition that changed our lives was on bieberfever.com. Here is the video we made if you want to see it. On Wednesday the 27th of april Annie got an email saying WE HAD WON MEET IN GREETS TO HIS CONCERT THE NEXT NIGHT . Annie rang me straight away and neither of us could talk, it was literally THE best moment of my entire life, like I swear I literally could not breath. On the 28th April we arrived at the Acer Arena and got special purple wristbands with his name. While in line to meet Justin, we met Dan Kanter, who was SO sweet and we saw Justin’s grandpa , HES SO CUTE! I was already so star struck! We then got called over and taken into the room! As soon as I walked in and locked eyes with Justin my heart literally skipped a beat, I could not believe it. We walked over and he said ‘Hey Girls’ in his sexy little voice. Annie was crying and Kenny put his arm on her shoulder and told her to stop crying really nicely and then Justin agreed! We all got into a photo and then were being pushed out but asked for a hug and he was really sweet and said ofcourse, you can or something! He is such an amazing hugger and I will never forget it, he smelt soo good as well! After I hugged him, I told him to please find the hat that we made him and told him it was the same as ours (we gave it to the people collecting the presents along with all the letters) and he said “Aww, yeh sure” and I said “Thank you so much Justin” and he said “My pleasure” in his little flirty voice. That was incredible. As I was walking out I felt his eyes on me and turned around and he was staring right at me, I could not believe it, I then said “I LOVE YOU JUSTIN” and he did the biggest smile and then I was out the door. I reached my aim to get him to smile!  I was literally so shocked when I met him I forgot everything else I planned to say! Everyone in that room experienced the most amazing thing. He was such a sweet and down to earth person and EVEN HOTTER IN PERSON!! I expected him to be all outgoing and confident but he actually appeared to be a little shy and just like a normal teenage boy which was incredibly cute and I really value that. Afterward, I could not stop crying, my biggest dream in life actually came true. I started crying the next day at school as well for ages because it actually hit me it was real. During the concert, he pointed and smiled RIGHT AT me and Annie because he saw us jumping up and down waving our hats. I almost fainted! At the concert I also met his main dancer and got a wave from Carin. I know I will remember this for my whole entire life and will always treasure it more than I can explain. I wanted to let you all know to NEVER SAY NEVER because clearly dreams DO come true, and you will all meet him one day and are all the best fans! ONE BIG HAPPY BELIEBER FAMILY. My name is Claudia and I have ALWAYS wanted to write my OWN…

My name is Claudia and I have ALWAYS wanted to write my OWN Bieber experience and I can’t believe I am saying this but, I did have MY BIEBER EXPERIENCE. It all began the day before the concert. Justin’s back up dancers Marvin and Nick were teaching a hip hop workshop that I went to. I had completely forgotten that the meet and greet e-mails would be sent, so in the middle of our break, luckily someone reminded me. As my e-mails were loading on my phone, I was talking to my friend saying “I don’t even know why im checking. I never win anything”. I then looked down and I saw “CONGRATULATIONS BIEBER FAN”. I didn’t know what to do, so I stormed out of the class with my phone and started to cry. I couldn’t believe this was happening to ME. After a night of no sleep, it was finally the day of the May 2nd Melbourne concert, the day I would meet my hero and inspiration. When we arrived to the arena a lady gave us special wristbands and we lined up back stage. Myself, my cousin and 2 other girls were the first group in line. A guy came out and said we could go in now. THIS WAS IT! The day that I have been waiting for three years had finally come. We walked into the room and at first I saw Nick. He was like “Hey I remember you from yesterday. Have fun”. Then next to Nick was ALFREDO! Alfredo tried to prank me but I just ended up being confused , it was sooo funny. Anyway the 2 girls who were with us had already walked over to Justin past the curtain so we quickly said goodbye to Alfredo and Nick and walked towards the curtain. My heart was beating so fast and I kept my promise that I wouldn’t scream or cry. I turned the corner and there I saw JUSTIN BIEBER! I swear he is the most amazing thing God has ever created. He looked and smiled at us and said ” Hey Ladies”. His voice gave me chills. We then joined onto the ends ready for the photo. After the photo was done I said thank you so many times. I expected Justin to be all out there but really he was completely different. When I walked past that curtain, I saw a boy just from Canada, it was as if he wasn’t famous at all. In actual fact he looked slightly shy and nervous, it was so cute. People expect Justin to be un-normal but really thats falsely evaluated, he is in fact normal like you and me. I witnessed it with my own eyes. Before we left, my cousin asked Justin if he could sing Happy Birthday to me but sadly he couldn’t because there was so many girls he had to greet. This is what he said “I would but I have so many girls to see so I can say it”. He then looked into my eyes and said HAPPY BIRTHDAY to me!  It was amazing. I then asked Justin for a hug and he said of course. Every time I think about that hug, it makes me cry. I wrapped my arms around his neck and then he put his arms around my waist. He smelt so nice so i just leaned my head on his shoulder. After a bit he pulled away because if it was up to me we would be standing there all day . I AM NEVER WASHING THAT SHIRT AGAIN. I said thank you one last time and then left. BUT, I saw KENNY and I hugged him. He is so cute.  I remember I kept on saying OMG OMG OMG and then I said to myself. Why am I saying ‘Oh My God”. I shouldn’t be cursing because God is the reason why a door opened for me to meet Justin. The concert was absolutely amazing. Justin is such a talented person and i wish him all the luck in the world for the future. Justin is truly an inspiration to all, through everything he has done he has shown that dreams do come true. I lived out that motto that day because my dream did come true. I Never said Never and because of that, I met my hero.  Monday May 2nd of 2011 was by far the best day of my life and I will NEVER (yes I just used never there) EVER forget it. Justin if you’re reading this, I promise to be there till the very end and support you 100% in every decision you make. Please never change , I wanted to tell you this so much when I met you but I just couldn’t get anything out. So please stay you. I love you. -@itsclaudiaahere Read more: My name is Claudia and I have ALWAYS wanted to write my OWN…
