Jennifer Lopez, Chelsea Handler Honored At Glamour Event

Theophilus London joins Deborah Harry for performance during magazine’s ‘Women of the Year’ celebration at Carnegie Hall. By Jocelyn Vena Chelsea Handler Photo: Getty Images NEW YORK — On Monday night, some of the most prestigious and glamorous women in the world gathered at Carnegie Hall to celebrate the Women of the Year as chosen by Glamour magazine. Jennifer Lopez was the night’s top honoree, and props were also given to everyone from Laura, Barbara, and Jenna Bush to Chelsea Handler and “Glee” star Lea Michele. “I’m pretty excited,” Handler dished to MTV News on the red carpet. “I’m happy. It’s fun,” she added, before explaining what makes her feel glamorous. “Nice clothes make you feel glamorous; getting dressed up for the night. I’ve never really been one to care that much about clothing, if you haven’t been able to notice. I’m always about your mind and being and clever and smart, so it’s cool to kind of get dressed up and wear cool things.” One of the night’s performers, Theophilus London, was pretty stoked to be in the same room as some of the world’s most beautiful people. He even had the perfect outfit to wear when he hit the stage. “I woke up this morning [and] I kind of wanted to wear leather, but I want to wear something shiny and soft. I don’t want to be too hot in Carnegie, so I found something. Shout out to Lanvin. I feel very privileged because they’re very good designers,” he said. London also shared his opinions on who he thinks deserves Women of the Year honors. “I think Michelle Obama is pretty hot and sexy. Actually, I think Debbie Harry is really hot and sexy. I’m doing a duet with her tonight. I’m pretty privileged, but I think J.Lo deserves it. She’s from New York. She’s always reinventing herself. She’s hot and cute.” Fashion designer extraordinaire Marc Jacobs explained that true glamour comes from the inside. “I think self-confidence makes a woman glamorous,” he explained. “I think living by one’s own rules makes anyone glamorous; living life to the fullest, enjoying and appreciating all the things that life has to offer, enjoying one’s life,” he added. LaLa Vasquez had a similar take on the art of being glamorous. “I think it’s confidence. It’s all about how you feel on the inside,” she said. “If you feel confident, you can make anything look good, so definitely confidence.” Cobra Starship frontman Gabe Saporta later joked, “Obviously reading Glamour magazine makes women glamorous, but I think glamour is about a girl who understands herself and has her own sense of style.” Related Photos 21st Annual Glamour Women Of The Year Awards Related Artists Jennifer Lopez

‘Glee’-Cap: Newbie Rory Brings ‘Pot O’ Gold’

Damian McGinty stops by to critique our Gleek’s Irish folk song. By Jim Cantiello Damian McGinty and Heather Morris in “Glee” Photo: FOX In Tuesday night’s “Pot O’ Gold” episode of “Glee,” McKinley High welcomed a new foreign exchange student, Rory (Damian McGinty), which inspired MTV News’ resident Gleek to write an Irish folk song in his honor. The new guy was great, and “Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)” was a jolt of excitement, but in the end, did the oddball custody battle, distracting Congressional race and eyebrow-raising Puck/Shelby romance suggest that the third season might be hitting the same uneven patches that plagued season two? At the very least, viewers had next week’s steamy promo to drool over. Sing along to our latest musical “Glee”-cap! Family, friends and fellow Gleeks Come gather ’round for a story About a kind young Irish lad Who goes by the name of Rory He doesn’t fit in Despite being Under Finn’s wing But, boy, can he sing He’s good for a wish Wants Brittany to kiss His place of bliss Instead, he’s dismissed Mercedes recruits Santana the brute Who threatens the cute New Irish suit He ain’t so keen On being green And Brittany careens Into Shelby’s routines [Damian enters, coughs. The music stops] Damian : “Jim, that’s the worst Irish accent I’ve ever heard. It’s offensively bad. You know the Lucky Charms guy? It’s even worse than that.” Jim : “Um. I … Sorry.” Damian : “Thanks for making me feel welcome, you jerk.” Jim : “Say hi to Klaine for me!” [The song resumes.] How could I go this far without Singing about that promo For next week’s epic episode In which my favorite homos Finally do the deed, my friends? I want it NOW, not later But I could use these seven days To buy a defibrillator Raise your hand if you give a f— About Quinn or Shelby or Puck And keep it raised if you still care When Sue makes jokes about Schuester’s hair Yes, it’s great that Burt went and saved The school play from being extinct But the very last thing that “Glee” needs Is a political plotline that stinks Thank God for Klaine For keeping me sane Did you see when he grabbed his hip? I love that what keeps this show afloat Is actually a “ship” “Last Friday Night” Was oh so right A glorious sight Made me high as a kite Even though that Darren Was the one to sing Despite having been In Katy’s thing A stand-out scene You know what I mean The twirl was a dream Cute to the extreme Next week, our two boys Are gonna be poised To make some noise For us to enjoy [to the tune of “Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)”] Next Tuesday night, Klaine goes all the way. Coldplay’s ‘Paradise’ Video: Chris Martin Rides Unicycles

Martin takes a unicycle trek through South Africa — dressed as an elephant — in giddy new clip. By James Montgomery Coldplay Photo: Capitol You can add another line to Coldplay frontman Chris Martin’s rather lengthy list of accomplishments: The man can ride a unicycle. This is the takeaway from Coldplay’s brand-new video for “Paradise” — a standout track on their upcoming Mylo Xyloto album — which premiered Wednesday (October 19) on the band’s site and features Martin, dressed in a plushy elephant costume, embarking on a unicycle trip in South Africa. Among other things, of course. The clip opens with sun-drenched shots of the South African plains, wildebeest silhouetted against the setting sun. We then cut to Martin (as an elephant) jailed against his will in a London zoo but planning an escape. When he finally busts out, he hops on the Tube, makes a beeline for Heathrow Airport and sneaks aboard a plane bound for Johannesburg, his home. After procuring a unicycle (some interpretive dance is involved), he rides through the countryside — at one point removing his elephant head to prove that, yes, it’s him aboard the unicycle — until he discovers his bandmates, who, of course, are also dressed as elephants. We then cut to some actual performance footage from the band’s South African concerts, where they bop and leap (while still wearing those elephant heads), much to the thrill of the audience. The video ends with a gleeful, slo-mo shot of the band sprinting across the plains, in full elephant regalia. And yes, it’s plenty silly. But such is the appeal of Coldplay, certainly one of the biggest bands on the planet and, yet, one unafraid to have a little fun from time to time. And, in a way, it plays perfectly into the “Paradise” lyrics, which are very much about a girl dreaming of escaping her dire situation and disappearing to her own personal heaven. Not to mention the fact that, much like the song’s blissed-out chorus, there is genuine joy in watching the band leaping about in plushy suits while the South African sun beats down upon them. Leave it to Coldplay to make a rather profound point — that we are all caged in some way, and we all long for escape — while still having a laugh too. And leave it to Chris Martin to prove that, even though he’s married to a movie star, has two children, does humanitarian work and fronts one of planet Earth’s hugest rock acts, he still found time to learn how to ride a unicycle. The man is truly capable of anything, it would seem. What do you think of the “Paradise” video? Share your reviews in the comments! Naya Rivera Sizzles in FHM

Naya Rivera plays the most scandalous, sexual character on Glee . So it should come as no surprise that the actress behind Santana is posing in a provocative manner on the cover of the latest FHM issue. But still. Yowza! It’s okay to stare, fellas. She plays a high school student, but she’s nearly 25… Is Rivera actually similar to the cheerleader she portrays on the Fox hit? “Ha! Not at all,” the actress tells the magazine. “I’m really easygoing nowadays. Mind you, when I was 17 things were a little different.” Rivera adds that she had “such a blast” during the shoot, as this outfit – plus a few more layers – are akin to how Naya relaxed on a typical day: “At home I can mostly be found wearing cute T-shirts and jeans,” she says.

Steak Out: Mischa Barton Sinks Teeth Into Bizarre Photo Shoot

Mischa Barton posed for a Tyler Shields photo shoot the other day, and, well, you know how that goes. If you don’t know how that goes, it goes … weird. The former OC actress and waif is the latest to pose for the controversial photographer, who loves his female celebrity muses to get “artistic” or something. After a Mischa fan club in Brazil (seriously, that exists) kept asking him to do a shoot with her, Shields says he reached out, and this is what resulted: Possibly nude, Mischa Barton sees food for the first time since April . “I randomly met her friend and we talked about it a few days later this happened,” he said. “She was amazing to work with. I cant wait to do it again.” Shields often features BFF Lindsay Lohan in his shoots, and recently landed in hot water over a series of photos showing a bound, battered Heather Morris . Here are some more of his recent Mischa Barton photos, which are historic – this is the closest interaction she’s had with steak in approximately 12 years … [Photos: Tyler Shields]

REVIEW: The Human Centipede II (Full Sequence) is Gruesome, Masturbatory Torture

Dutch director Tom Six struck a genre nerve (sliced clean through with cold, sterile precision, really) with his 2010 body-horror endurance test The Human Centipede (First Sequence) , in which a mad surgeon stitched together three poor souls, end to end to end to end, in the name of twisted science. In the very least, it seems Six has thought good and hard about the film’s success and why some of the most disturbed sights and ideas this side of Salo — his favorite film, naturally — titillated horror fans so. But in going meta with The Human Centipede II (Full Sequence) , in which a mentally challenged British fan of the first film plays copycat with a dozen more unfortunate “patients,” Six frequently falls parallel to his own villain, indulging in a depravity of his own design with a masturbatory glee that becomes taxing and torturous to anyone else.

Director Promises Footloose Remake Will Be Just Like The Original, But with More Sex

Watch out, all you anti-dancing stick-in-the-muds- there’s a new Footloose in town. The ’80s dance flick has been “re-imagined for a new generation” by director Craig Brewer ( Black Snake Moan, Hustle & Flow ), who justified the remake’s existence to The New York Times thusly: “I want it to really shake them up, and I know people will roll their eyes, but this ain’t ‘Glee.’ We’ve got a little more danger in this movie. We’ve got more sex and tense moments,” Brewer says. There’s just one problem: there’s no nudity in this flick. Dancing with the Stars ‘ Julianne Hough stars in her first acting role, and although she caused some tense moments in our trousers by stripping to her bra, donning tight jeans, and flashing her panties as she boogied down, she doesn’t quite show the skin that makes us feel like dancing. Hopefully next time Julianne will really cut loose… See more from hot hoofer Julianne Hough right here at MrSkin.com
