Gloria James, mother of NBA superstar LeBron James, was arrested for assault last week after an altercation with a valet parking guy, Rockefeller Sorel. The police who busted her weren’t treated much better, according to the surveillance tape, obtained by WPLG in Miami, where the arrest went down. Video shows Gloria James held in a holding room at the Miami Beach police HQ. LeBron’s mom yells at cops, who at one point had to wipe her face. She also tried to break free of her handcuffs. Gloria James, the mother of Miami Heat star LeBron James, was arrested early this morning for allegedly assaulting a valet at the Fontainebleau Hotel. According to Miami Beach authorities, Gloria was partying at LIV nightclub with some of girlfriends last night, but got into an altercation upon leaving. Cops were called about an incident at 4:47 in which Gloria was accused of attacking a valet. She was arrested on suspicion of misdemeanor assault. It’s unclear at this time what sparked Gloria James’ altercation with a Miami parking attendant, or whether the misdemeanor charges against her will be pursued . The valet wasn’t arrested, and Gloria has been released from custody. A rep for the hotel confirmed the James incident, but had no further comment. LeBron, meanwhile, had a tough night in Miami as well. The Heat lost to the Bucks, a blow to their chances of clinching the #2 seed in the East. Weak. UPDATE : More details have emerged about Gloria’s rampage … The police report says Gloria hit the valet so hard in the face, she lost her balance and fell to the ground, then told a police officer “I don’t trust your kind.” The arresting officer says he tried to question 43-year-old Gloria James about the incident at the scene early, but he got “no response, just a stare.” After a while, she eventually admitted to having a “minor verbal altercation.” The cop says the valet explained that he retrieved James’ car and put it on the valet ramp in front of the hotel while Gloria and a female driver stood around talking to people for 30 minutes. Finally, the valet says he turned the car off. The valet, Rockfeller Sorel, says Gloria then approached him and stated, “Where are my f**king keys” and continued yelling profanities at the victim. LeBron James mother, Gloria James was arrested in Miami for misdemeanor assault. According to TMZ , Gloria was at the Fountainbleau hotel sometime late Wednesday night partying at LIV nightclub with some of her girlfriends, but when she tried to leave the hotel, she got into an altercation with one of the valet parking attendants. LeBron James sucks. There’s simply no other way to sum up the actions of a guy who held the NBA hostage during a self-glorifying free agency tour, only to really screw over Cleveland and join the Miami Heat in a gratuitous television “event” last night. Fortunately for James, the guy suing him claiming to be his dad is also getting flack today, from his own brother no less. Not surprisingly, his story has holes. The younger brother of Leicester Bryce Stovell , “Junior” Stovell, says “something’s a little fishy” about Leicester’s allegations that he fathered LeBron James. Leicester filed a lawsuit against LeBron and his mother Gloria James, claiming they tampered with DNA evidence that could prove he’s the NBA star’s daddy. What would this guy gain from being LeBron’s dad? It’s unclear . In any case, “Junior” says that his family has been “joking” about the situation ever since Leicester suggested he was the dad a few years ago, but notes that Leicester “believes in his own mind” that his story of impregnating Gloria is legitimate. As for why “Junior” thinks the story is fishy … he tells TMZ that “Leicester never mentioned anything about LeBron being his son until LeBron became the king.” Go figure. LeBron’s camp has strongly rejected Leicester’s claim, calling him a “money grubber” and saying his lawsuit was timed perfectly to steal attention from James.
