When news first broke that Eva Mendes was pregnant with Ryan Gosling’s baby , the Internet reacted with a potent mix of rage and horror. Sure, a new baby is always cause for celebration, but the Baby Goose’s army of devoted female fans was less than thrilled to learn that he was officially off the market. But now, it looks as though the passage of time has accomplished what a million Eva voodoo dolls couldn’t, as Gosling and Mendes are reportedly soon to be dunzo. “It’s more than just run-of-the-mill stress that comes with having a newborn,” a source tells OK! magazine. “They’re barely talking. Eva has pushed him away.” Gosling has reportedly been spending much of his time shooting a movie in Atlanta. He apparently asked Mendes to join him, but she refused. Now the new dad is said to be jetting back and forth between coasts every weekend. Sources say Gosling was the perfect baby daddy while Eva was pregnant, but the couple has reportedly started bickering over the best way to raise their child. The 23-year old was set to marry Alex Lancaster, who Blandford met when the two attended college in Connecticut together in 2012, on August 15. However, Blandford got such cold feet prior to the big day that he pretended as if he had perpetually cold feet… by faking his own death! News UK, adding: “The man explained that they had been trying to send Tucker off to a psychiatric unit for help. But it was too late. I couldn’t breathe. But Lancaster than called her heretofore future in-laws and spoke to Tucker’s mom, who said her son was “absolutely fine” and also said she thought the couple had broken up. “She knew nothing about the wedding,” said Lancaster, adding that she quickly discovered her supposedly wedding venue did not actually have her a booking for her big day. Blandford now admits to his ruse and says he feels pretty badly about it. “I’m a terrible, awful person. I know I shouldn’t have told her I was dead, but I didn’t know what else to do,” the coward told The Daily Mail. “Alex is an amazing girl, but I got scared and wanted to get out of the relationship. Ryan Gosling cooked, cleaned and grocery shopped for Eva Mendes in the early months of her pregnancy, and now it seems there were reasons for his servitude that went beyond the fact that he’s a stand-up guy. The couple kept the news that Mendes is pregnant out of the tabloids for an astonishing seven months, and according to reports, having Ryan run all the errands was an important part of keeping Eva’s baby bump under wraps. “Their lives completely changed as soon as Eva got pregnant,” a source tells People magazine. “They used to travel all over the place together and go on hikes with their dogs.” As soon as Mendes began showing, however, she reportedly holed up in Gosling’s LA apartment and “barely left the house.” Ryan waited on Eva hand and foot during this difficult time and aside from a few suspicious instances (such as when Eva was a no-show at the Cannes Film Festival where her and Gosling’s film, Lost River , premiered) the couple seamlessly pulled off one of the great celeb cover-ups in recent memory.
