Idris Elba Named Sexiest Man Alive! (But Is He Really?)

He may or may not be the next James Bond. But even if Idris Elba never lands the role of the planet’s most famous secret agent, at least he now has earned one distinction that can never be taken away… … he’s the Sexiest Man Alive for 2018! According to the editors at People Magazine! The 46-year old rose to stardom as a businessman/drug dealer on HBO’s The Wire and has since gone on to portray Norse God and Asgardian gatekeeper Heimdall in Marvel’s Thor franchise. He has a sizzling accent, a ripped body and a face that … well… just look at that face. There’s no way this honor could have been a surprise for Elba, right? Wrong, apparently. “I was like, ‘Come on, no way. Really?’” the actor tells People of the label, adding: “Looked in the mirror, I checked myself out. I was like, ‘Yeah, you are kind of sexy today.’ But to be honest, it was just a nice feeling. It was a nice surprise – an ego boost for sure.” Past Sexiest Men Alive (below) have included George Clooney, Blake Shelton Chris Hemsworth, Brad Pitt and Mel Gibson, among many others. In this case, the handsome reveal was made on Monday night’s episode of the Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. “It’s amazing! I’m really, really happy with that,” Elba said opposite the host. “Thank you so much People magazine for making me sexiest man in the world. My mum is going to be very, very proud.” On Twitter, meanwhile, Elba accepted the praise and the recognition, while also sending out an important message. “Who’d have thought it! Thank you @people & all the fans for naming me #SexiestManAlive,” he wrote in reply, concluding: “Don’t forget to grab your issue this week…  I’m honoured & thankful. What’s even more important is your vote in the midterm elections. As such, the Internet was rather thrilled with Elba’s victory, with one person resorting to all-caps to exclaim: “IDRIS ELBA IS FINALLY GETTING THE RECOGNITION HE DESERVES.” And others clearly feel the same way. Audrey Roloff is not a playa. She just crushes Jeremy Roloff a lot. How did this ex-Little People, Big World star land her sweet, religious and caring husband? Audrey would probably be the first person to say she got very lucky. Shannon Beador and Vicki Gunvalson Wake Up From Surgery on This Sneak Peek

In the aftermath of Shannon Beador flipping out and then apologizing to her fellow Housewives, the show needs some levity. In this The Real Housewives of Orange County sneak peek, Shannon and Vicki have both undergone surgery. When they come to, however, their experiences are very different. One of them is deeply hilarious. “In a perfect world, would I like to have my partner waiting for me when I get out of surgery?” Shannon asks. She asks if she would love to have such a partner “putting his arm around me, saying ‘I’m going to take care of you and everything’s going to be OK?’” She answers her own questions: “Absolutely.” Obviously, anyone wants emotional support, especially when they're just coming out of surgery. Since Shannon is currently single, however, she doesn't have that. Fortunately, Shannon knows how to keep things in perspective. “But you know what?” Shannon asks rhetorically. “I have a driver,” Shannon says. “And Sophie and the kids are waiting for me when I get home.” That's more than a lot of people have. Shannon concludes: “And that’s all I can ask for.” It's always good to focus on the positives in your life, rather than simply on what you don't have. We promised that there would be some levity in this clip, and there absolutely is. Vicki Gunvalson also went into the hospital to have some face-fillers removed. Her boyfriend, Steve Lodge, arrived to show her moral support — you know, the kind that Shannon would have liked. Vicki was still a little loopy, however, and immediately asks Steve some awkward questions. “Do you love me?” Vicki asks. “Am I pretty?” It sounds like Shannon might be better off. People aren't always at their best when they're under the influence. Vicki then tells Steve that she has “no panties on right now.” Earlier this year, Vicki explained why she intended to have her face fillers removed. “I had a lot of fillers in my face and I didn’t feel like it was me anymore,” Vicki said. “I had too many doctors, too many different times say ‘let’s do this, let’s do that, let’s fill here, let’s do Voluma, let’s do Sculptra,’” Vicki continues. You know, on the very first episode of The Real Housewives of Orange County that I ever saw, she was having a botox party. It seems that she's changed her tune. “And,” Vicki says. “By the time I was done I looked in the mirror and was like COMMA ‘I don’t even look like myself.’” Apparently, part of that has been Steve's supportive influence.  “I said to him the other day, ‘My boobies are a little bit lower. I want them higher up here,’” Vicki shares. Vicki says that Steve didn't agree: “He goes, ‘You promised me you wouldn’t do anything else,’” “No,” Vicki decides. “For right now I’m at peace.” Good for her! It's always easy to poke fun at women who undergo multiple cosmetic procedures on their faces and breasts. Of course, it starts to get considerably less funny once you think about the powerful social forces that demand that women look a certain way. These cultural pressures are compounded for women who are on television, for older women, and for women who are trying to date. Some would say that Vicki and Shannon almost had no choice but to go under the knife a time or two if they wanted to remain on television. That is a grim thought.

Henry Levy: Demi Lovato Is Dating a Fellow Addict and Fans Are Concerned

As we reported earlier today, Demi Lovato is out of rehab , and she’s not allowing her sobriety to interfere with her social life. It looks as though Demi already has a new boyfriend, and while it’s nice to see her smile after such a difficult year, there may be cause for concern. Typically, those who are new to recovery are discouraged from embarking on new romantic relationships. But Demi’s new companion reportedly checks two boxes, as he’s both a source of emotional support and an expert on sobriety. His name is Henry Levy, and he’s a clothing designer who’s been to rehab several times, having first sought treatment when he was 15 years old. Now, that may sound like a recipe for disaster at first, as Demi’s latest relapse is so recent that she probably shouldn’t involve herself with another addict at the moment. But those who know Henry best say he’s been sober for over a year and may actually be a good influence on Demi His latest stint in rehab–where he reportedly re-connected with Demi–was apparently just a tune-up. Although it can’t be that long since Levy’s last relapse, as here he is pouring himself a glass of whiskey in 2016.  Sources close to the situation say Henry and Demi have been friends for years, but their romance is a recent development. Though not exactly a household name, Levy is no slouch in the fashion world, and his clothing has been worn by Sophie Turner, Kanye West, Sophia Richie and, of course, Demi. So Henry’s successful in his own right … but that doesn’t mean he’s stable. As head of Enfants Riches Deprimes (which translates to “rich depressed children”) Henry has stirred up a good deal of controversy over the years. “If I wasn’t Jewish I would kill myself. Because I wouldn’t be rich,” Levy wrote on Facebook last year, much to the chagrin of customers and employees. In the Complex  magazine interview that accompanied the whiskey photo, Levy said that one of his primary artistic motivations is the rage he feels toward his parents for sending him to rehab. Asked by the interviewer at that time if he was sober, Levy answered simply, “No.” Now, close friendships and romantic relationships are common among rehab patients, but experts generally caution against them for a number of reasons. Every addict and every recovery is different, but fans are already troubled by the fact that Demi left rehab months ahead of schedule. The fact that the new man in her life is relatively newly sober himself is likely to be greeted with even greater concern. After all, the stakes couldn’t be higher. Demi’s overdose in July nearly claimed her life. With the help of family, friends, fans, and an army of specialists, Demi recently celebrated 90 days of sobriety . Farrah Abraham: Replaced in Celebrity Boxing Match, Slammed by Hoopz

Farrah Abraham may be back in our lives far sooner than anyone is prepared for, as the ex-Teen Mom star has signed on to headline a new series . But Abraham is officially out of her celebrity boxing match. We previously reported that Farrah had canceled on the much-hyped event because she alleged the promoter and organizer (the latter of whom is named Samantha Goldberg) had renegged on their contract. According to Radar Online, Abraham believed she had been promised an abundance of airplane tickets and hotel rooms by those in charge of the November 10 fight in Atlantic City. When she learned almost none of these things would be paid for and that her guests would need to foot their own bills… Abraham bailed. The promoter in question, Damon Feldman, has denied that he legally agreed to any of Abraham’s requests, insisting he DID pay for Farrah and her daughter to be flown to the location in first class. Everything else, he says, is just Farrah acting like a diva and looking for an excuse to pull out of the match. But it’s okay, whatever, good riddance, he and Goldberg now say. Because they have found a replacement for Abraham. Mob Wives star Natalie DiDonato will climb into the squared circle on Saturday night to try and knockout Nicole “Hoopz” Alexander. The thing is, another Mob Wives star, Drita D’Avanzo, will be serving as the guest referee. Which sounds totally unfair, don’t you think? Just like MTV did with Teen Mom OG after producers fired Abraham in February, however, the main takeaway here is that it didn’t take long for someone to fill Farrah’s spot. We assume she’ll have some mean words shortly about how DiDonato isn’t qualified to hold her sports bra or something… … but until then, Hoopz has spoken out against her previously-scheduled opponent. “She’s using the promoter as a reason to back out,” the former Flavor of Love contestant wrote on Instagram, accusing Abraham of being scared and weak and adding: “The fight is happening with or without her. We agreed because of the cause not because of Farrah. See everyone November 10th.” Ah, yes, there is a cause attached to this event. As you can see in the above poster, it is being used to raise awareness for anti-bullying. Sounds a little vague, and a little ironic, to center an anti-bullying event around a bout between two people trying to knock each other out. But let’s also be real for a minute: It would be more than a little ironic for Farrah Abraham to be anywhere near anything that is trying to put an end to bullying. Catelynn Lowell and Tyler Baltierra Reflect on Adoption Nine Years Later

Despite the theories spun by Teen Mom fans, Tyler Batlierra is not leaving Catelynn Lowell . They have another baby on the way! They gave up their first child for adoption. In this new Teen Mom OG sneak peek, Tyler and Catelynn grapple with the bittersweet occassion that is their firstborn's birthday. “It's been almost a year since we've seen our daughter, Carly,” Catelynn says in a voiceover. “But today is her birthday,” Catelynn narrates. “It's usually a hard day for us, so we always try to celebrate it in a positive way.” There are a couple of awkward moments as they eat their salads before they speak on the phone to Dawn, their adoption counselor. They talk about Nova and her ability to understand that it's Carly's birthday. Nova, of course, is only three years old, so immediately asked when the party would be, and if they would have cake and ice cream. Dawn suggests that they send a Nova video to Carly, and Tyler says that it's already in the works. The conversation, which had so far been lighthearted, turns more serious. Dawn praises Catelynn and Tyler, telling them how proud she is of how they're taking this milestone in stride. Adoption can be a difficult process for everyone involved, even though no one questions that they made the right decision. And the two of them have really made great progress in handling the situation with a healthy perspective. As Tyler admits when Dawn comes over to speak to them in person, he and Catelynn weren't always so chill about it. “I think some of our old expectations were unrealistic,” Tyler admits. “Like, [we] signed our rights off,” he says, referring to signing away their parental rights nine years ago. “A couple of years ago,” Tyler confesses. “I was on the other side.” By which he means that he felt entitled to parental rights that he does not possess. Tyler gives an example: “I was like, ‘You wouldn’t be parents if it weren’t for me.’” “It’s acceptance of what role I really play in this child’s life and this family’s life,” Tyler says of his current perspective. Dawn, their adoption counselor, knows that Carly's birthday is a big deal. She walks them through how they might speak to Carly's parents. “If I can advise you in any way,” Dawn says. “I would say a soft landing would be a good thing.” Dawn suggests: “Maybe starting a conversation with, ‘What’s Carly doing today? How are things going with her at school?’” “You love to brag about Nova,” Dawn notes. “She’s gonna love to brag about Carly.” Dawn concludes: “I think that’s gonna be an easier entry into a conversation.” Tyler and Catelynn then speak about the various traumas that they have experienced. While most of Catelynn's PTSD arises from her childhood, as is most often the case, it's not the only source. The adoption that she and Tyler went through as teens was another trauma in her life. That is very understandable. Being conscious of that can be tremendously helpful. Catelynn's miscarriage, she says, was a trigger for a lot of that trauma to resurface in her mind. Catelynn and Tyler have demonstrated more personal and emotional growth than a lot of their co-stars. We're not going to pretend that either of them are perfect. If they didn't have flaws, they wouldn't work as reality stars. But they've really worked hard on themselves and on their relationship. That deserves some recognition.

Alaskan Bush People: Gabe Brown and Raquell Rose Are Getting Married!

Back in August, Alaskan Bush People star Noah Brown married Rhain Alisha in a beautiful, low-key ceremony. Now it’s another member of the Brown family’s turn. This time, it’s Gabe Brown — who filed for a marriage license before anyone heard a word about an engagement! RadarOnline reports that Gabe Brown is either married already — or about to be. A clerk at the Marriage License Office in Okanogan, Washington says that Gabe and his girlfriend got their marriage papers last month. “Gabriel Brown and Raquell Pantilla filed for a marriage license in person on October 8,” the clerk confirms. Raquell is not unfamiliar to fans who follow the Brown family on social media. In fact, it was Gabe’s youngest sister Rain who revealed Gabe’s relationship with Raquell “Rose” Pantilla. Rain has joked about beinga  third wheel, but she and Raquell have described each other as the best of friends. A source close to the Brown family didn’t quite confirm Gabe’s marriage, but didn’t exactly deny it, either. “They have been spending a lot of time together,” the family source acknowledged. The insider affirmed that “really likes her.” We’ve all been able to tell that much just from watching them on social media. Just look at this photo that Gabe shared of his and Raquell’s hands forming a heart together. Now, as we were all so recently reminded with Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin, a marriage license can be a little ambiguous. We looked it up, and Washington state law says that a marriage license has a three-day waiting period. (That, folks, is to prevent people who are blitzed out of their minds from having impulsive weddings with someone they just met) After those three days are over, the couple has 60 days in which to have their wedding. After that, if they have not held a wedding, the marriage license becomes invalid. If our understanding that this gives Gabe and Raquell a total of 63 days in which to tie the knot is correct, they must hold their wedding by December 10. Just because Gabe and Raquell need to hold a wedding between October 11 and December 10 doesn’t mean that it has to be large. Noah’s wedding, after all, was a pretty small event. It is entirely possible that Gabe and Raquell have already had a wedding somewhere on the Brown family’s private, spacious homestead. If your dad buys 435 acres of land , we sure hope that there’s enough room for you to get married on it. If so, we hope that they’ll make an announcement about it soon. But they still have an entire month — and some change — to hold that wedding. Maybe it hasn’t happened yet. Gabe Brown has not always been so lucky in love. In late November of last year, Rain warned her fans and followers that an imposter was pretending to be Gabe Brown . This imposter was catfishing fans, some of whom developed real feelings for the fake Gabe. Months later, when fans learned of Gabe’s relationship with Raquel, some accused Gabe of seducing them — having ignored Rain’s warning. These fans may have seen Rain’s warning but refused to believe that they were being catfished. We’re glad that Gabe and Raquell were able to get past that. Still, Gabe and Raquell have only been dating for … possibly less than a year. Though Raquell has been getting along well with the Brown family — especially with Rain — some wonder if they’re rushing things. It’s always a little surprising when a couple goes from “dating” to “married” (or close enough) without any real engagement in between. But sometimes, couples just know. The Real Housewives of Atlanta Recap: To Love and to Cherish

The Real Housewives of Atlanta returned to Bravo on Sunday night, and things took a serious turn.  As we previously reported back in June, Gregg Leakes is battling cancer. With reality TV filmed months in advance, the hit reality series opened up with a lot of details about the diagnosis.  NeNe wasted no time in telling viewers all about the diagnosis, explaining that Gregg was taken to hospital in May and said he needed to get prepared for surgery straight away.  “His health these last couple of years has been a lot,” said NeNe.  “We were not prepared to hear that,” she continued, adding that she needed to be strong for her family. “‘I have put on a brave face, but I have had many moments in my car alone and if my car could talk it would probably say ”this b**** cries too much,'” Nene sobbed.  Gregg opened up about it when some of their friends and family showed up to wish him well.  “I guess the scariest part about all of this is when we got to the hospital and the doctor saying that we need to do surgery on you tonight or you ain’t going to make it,” said Gregg, adding: “I went over and prayed to God, and I told him If it’s time, let’s go,” the reality star added of learning he had cancer.  “I don’t fear death; I don’t want to go. If my work is finished here, take care of them, let’s go.” That’s when the season premiere turned into a somber affair. Gregg told everyone that he had written a letter for the doctor to give his wife if he did not pull through surgery.  “Writing that note was the hardest ever thing I did in my life, but you never know what is in you until you are at that door, I never thought I had it in me to beat cancer but know I’m going to beat cancer’s ass,” he said.  Despite the surgery being successful, both NeNe and Gregg recognized that it could return.  “You have been my light,” Gregg told NeNe. “I couldn’t do this without you. I couldn’t. I wouldn’t even try. So I want to thank you, baby.” Elsewhere, Porsha’s new boyfriend made a big impression on just about everyone, and Porsha seemed ready to move the relationship to the next stage.  “The power of the tongue is real. I said just at the beginning of this year I was going to meet the man I was going to marry, I’m going to get married this year,” she said. “And here I am completely in love and white is going to be my new color as I am going to be Mrs McKinley.” Porsha subsequently opened up about how her man was so rich.  “He does really, really well. America loves hot dogs, and these hot dogs are going to put a hell of a ring on my finger,” she gushed.  “I just never had this type of connection on this level,” she continued. “He told me he loved me the first day we met and I was like ”I love you too” it felt natural, and we just went with it.” Porsha later met up with NeNe, and the two chatted about their lives, with NeNe revealing why she was not going sit at home and wallow in despair.  “I’m the sort of person who would prefer to throw myself into work. I am not one to sit at home in a depression so I will continue to function,” NeNe told her. That’s when Porsha continued to refer to Dennis as a “friend” and NeNe was quick to point that out to the cameras.  “Porsha’s been telling me a lot about how she has a new friend, it’s a guy, okay. Porsha has puppy eyes, she’s really feeling somebody,” NeNe dished to the cameras.  Porsha later said she wanted to keep Dennis away from her castmates, presumably because she knows there’s always some drama.  “I am very protective over Dennis, I do not want other people in our little world right now,” she admitted. “It is important for us as our friends to show her that we are here for you as well as Gregg.” But Porsha may have gotten her wish by the end of the episode. Kenya Moore Welcomes First Child!

She’s here, folks! The 47-year old Real Housewives of Atlanta alum gave birth to a baby girl named Brooklyn Doris Daly at 9:39 a.m. ET on Sunday, Nov. 4, People Magazine has confirmed. The precious little daughter weighs 5 lbs. and 12 oz. This is the first child for both Moore and her husband, Marc Daly. What inspired this unique name? “Brooklyn because that’s where we met and fell in love, and Doris after my grandmother who passed away last year and who raised me,” Moore told People of the monkier’s basis and significance. Kenya announced the exciting news of her pregnancy on stage at The Real Housewives reunion back in April. “We will definitely be welcoming a boy or girl in late this year,” Moore said in response to a question from host Andy Cohen, adding at the time: “Oh my God, I said that! I don’t want to talk about the details because I’m still very nervous about everything so I want to get past a safe place.” At 47 years old, Moore suffered a few complications related to her age. (She is not old by regular standards, but she was considered a “geriatric” mother-to-be within the medical community.) According to People, the former Miss USA – who conceived through in vitro fertilizatio –  gave birth via emergency cesarean section after revealing on October 27 that she had tested positive for preeclampsia. Baby is fine but if they come back higher #babydaly will have to come same day. “Staying positive. To my pregnant sisters please go to your visits and tell the doctor of any drastic changes. Thank God I have great doctors.” On Saturday, meanwhile, Moore let fans on Instagram know that her daughter was on the way. She wrote on Instagram: “If you want to make God laugh have a plan… Won’t be long now. Pray for us #babydaly #weloveyou #prayers.” Moore and Daly, who met through a mutual friend started dating in December of 2016 and got married in St. Lucia in June of last year. We both want to start a family, and soon – like, right away. We both want a child,” she said at the time. Sadly, Bravo viewers will not get to see Moore’s pregnancy play out on television. Half-Naked Woman Crashes Through Cook Out Restaurant Ceiling

A 26-year-old woman burst through the ceiling and fell in a Tennessee fast food restaurant. What makes it extra strange is that she did so while half-naked. What makes this absolutely mind-boggling is that she did it twice . So, for context, Cook Out is a delicious fast food restaurant that offers burgers and barbeque. Earlier this week, a Cook Out employee called the police at about 10pm. (Cook Out generally stays open until 3am or 4am, which makes them a favored restaurant for partiers and night owls) According to the employee’s call, she saw a woman burstin through the ceiling tile. The woman was then able to pull herself up and retreat back into the ceiling. Officers responded to the call, and found some damage in the kitchen. Additionally, they found what appeared to be the ceiling woman’s wallet on the building’s roof. Police were still on the scene when the woman fell through the ceiling a second time. This time, she was unable to scramble back up, and attempted to exit the kitchen. Police apprehended the woman identified as Harley C. Morton. They also noticed that she was naked from the waste down. Morton was transported to jail and charged with criminal trespass, vandalism, and disorderly conduct. Most Cook Out locations do not have indoor dining areas. They rely upon drive-through and walk-up customers and may have picnic tables. This location did have a dining room, but there is tragically no known video of this woman’s bizarre emergence from the ceiling. “Fortunately,” a term that we use very loosely in this instance, this is not a unique phenomena. Wasn’t it just last September that a woman fell through the ceiling of a Mexican restaurant in California ? That fall through the ceiling was captured on video, and you can see that for yourself: So, the Cook Out incident probably looked something like this, but without the red ceiling. And instead of customers looking on in awe, you probably had Cook Out kitchen employees just an hour or two into their shift reacting. Some may have freaked out. Others almost certainly responded by thinking that it’s not the weirdest thing they’ve ever seen at Cook Out. In broad daylight, I once watched a man place his order at a walk-up window and then jog, while screaming repeatedly, around the building to access the bathroom facilities. He continued to scream, with short pauses, while in the bathroom. People go to Cook Out for the food and especially for their famous milkshakes, but seeing the absolute weirdest humans on Earth is part of the experience. We hope that this story provides entertainment and does not discourage anyone from visiting Cook Out. Their milkshakes are famous for a reason. Their food is also almost unbelievably cheap. Full disclosure, I did not even know that they had locations in Tennessee. (Also, I absolutely recommend their quesadillas) We hope that Ms. Morton is okay. There are still no indications of why she was in the ceiling. Hopefully, she is getting whatever help she needs. And hopefully Cook Out has already mended its ceiling and made their building a little less accessible.
