Wendy Williams Files to Divorce Awful Husband

It is finally, thankfully, mercifully all over for Wendy Williams and Kevin Hunter. The talk show host has filed for divorce from her husband of 22 years, many years after rumors of his infidelity first surfaced and about two weeks after his mistress allegedly gave birth to his baby . As celebrity gossip followers likely know well, it’s been quite a past month or so for Williams. In mid-March, the star opened up to her viewing audience, explaining that she has been residing in a sober living facility because she suffered a relapse of some kind. (Williams did not specify at the time just what sort of substance she had used that prompted this decision. She did acknowledge, however, past use of cocaine and she was also reportedly hospitalized for drinking on the day Hunter’s mistress, Sharina Hudson, welcomed her child.) Multiple outlets have written about how Hunter’s ongoing affair has played a role in Wendy’s deterioting state, prompting her to hit the bottle or take drugs once again. A few hours prior to this divorce news was broken by Page Six, Williams hosted her program without her wedding ring on. Her makeup artist also shared a video – from which we grabbed the following image – that featured Williams flaunting her newly-bare digit: Previously on air, Williams had broadly addressed all the chatter about Hunter having had an affair. It was notable at the time that Wendy didn’t really deny this rumor; she simply said she was standing by her man no matter what. “I want to shout out to my husband. I’m still wearing my ring,” Williams said in this segment from earlier in the year on The Wendy Williams Show. She added back then: “Believe me you, when you’ve been with somebody for 28 years…married for 25 years…we know each other. He’s my best friend, he’s my lover, he’s all this and he’s all that. “I know what you’ve been seeing and I know what the streets have been talking about.” Hunter is actually also an executive producer on The Wendy Williams Show, which is the reason (according to some) why Williams had been so hesitant to pull the plug on her marriage … despite Hunter’s rather public infidelity. She was afraid of how the split might affect her on a professional level. But Wendy eventually had no choice, given the emotional toll Hunter’s cheating has been taking on her, along with all the negative headlines about her relationship over the past several weeks. “Anybody who’s been married for 5 minutes or 500 years, you know marriages have ebbs and flows,” Williams also said in the past, adding: “Marriages are not easy. Don’t ask me about mine until you see this [ring] gone and it ain’t going anywhere – not in this lifetime.” Alas, it is now gone. There has been a lot of divorce talk going around the Internet prior to Williams finally going through with her filing. Not even a $40,000 bribe by Hunter was able to change his scorned wife’s mind. It also doesn’t help that Hunter cheated on Williams back in 2001 as well, something the talk show host touched on in her memoir. “No woman deserves this,” she wrote. “I wanted to kill him. I mean really kill him. For real. I wanted to kill him more because I was in the process of breaking my Number One Rule: No Cheating.” We’ve never been huge fans of Williams as an on-air personality — but we applaud her for this divorce decision. Jinger Duggar Defies Parents, Announces Support For Trans Community

For years now, Jinger Duggar’s reputation as her family’s resident rebel has been well-established. But up to this point, the 25-year-old’s acts of defiance have been largely symbolic in nature. Jinger was the first of her sisters to wear pants in public, for example, defying her family’s long-standing tradition (some would say “dress code”) which held that women should wear floor-length skirts at all times. In recent months, however, Jinger has taken her rebellion to a new level. In fact, her apparent rejection of her parents’ tightly-held belief system has led to rumors of Jinger being disowned by Jim Bob and Michelle. The shift from mild rebellion to full-blown revolt began when Jinger announced she’ll be moving to Los Angeles so that her husband, Jeremy Vuolo, can attend divinity school. One would think that the idea of their daughter being married to a pastor would be deeply appealing to the ultra-pious Duggars. But Jeremy’s beliefs differ from those of his in-laws in several important ways, and insiders say Jim Bob and Michelle are appalled at the idea of their daughter taking up residence in a bastion of liberalism like LA. And it seems that Jinger’s ties to the Vuolo family are about to cause her parents even greater distress. You see, the Vuolos are a deeply religious lot, but they’re not nearly as conservative in their worldview. In fact, Jeremy’s brother, Charles Vuolo, makes slightly-left-of-center Jeremy look like freakin’ Pat Robertson. Charles is a Boston-based film director and producer. According to the always-reliable anti-Duggar Facebook account Life Is Not All Pickles and Hairspray, his latest project is a short film entitled Lupe , which tells the tale of “an immigrant struggling with their transgender identity.” Anyone who recalls Derick Dillard’s bullying of transgender teen Jazz Jennings will know that the Duggars consider transgender to be mentally ill abominations and affronts against God. It’s safe to say Jinger doesn’t share that belief, however, as she recently posted a highly favorable comment to an Instagram post about Charles’ film. “Wow. So amazing, bro,” Jinger allegedly wrote on a private post describing the project. Jinger may not be shouting her support for the trans community from the rooftops, but many believe it’s clear she does not share her family’s bigoted belief system. Ben Affleck & Lindsay Shookus: It’s Over! Again!

Folks, it’s our regrettable duty to inform you that love is well and truly dead. The concept of mutual romantic affection had a good run of about 200,000 years or so, but it left this mortal coil at exactly 2:54 on Thursday afternoon. That’s when People magazine reported that Ben Affleck and Lindsay Shookus have broken up . Again. Yes, it’s only been two months since Ben and Lindsay got back together, but it seems their love was simply too pure for this world. Either that or Ben started banging a 20-something Playboy model again. Tough to say, as details are pretty scarce at the moment. An insider says it was mostly distance that drove the lovebirds apart, which seems like BS, since Ben has unlimited resources for travel, and these two had already been doing the bicoastal thing for almost two years. “She has a kid and an ex-husband and a job in New York and Ben has his family and a job in L.A. and while they love and respect each other they just realized it wasn’t going to work,” a source tells People . “They really gave it another solid try.” We’re sure being separated by a few thousand miles wasn’t easy, but in all likelihood, it was a combination of factors that led Ben and Lindsay to call it quits. Affleck checked into rehab for the third time back in August, and he may have wisely decided that his focus needs to be on his family and his sobriety at this time. Then there’s Lindsay’s demanding work as an SNL producer. After all, it can’t be easy, week after week, to position Alec Baldwin’s Trump wig or ensure that Pete Davidson’s garish outfits won’t cause any seizures in Des Moines. And then there’s the issue of upbringing. Ben’s from Boston, and Lindsay as from Buffalo. Can any relationship endure such a heated — albeit one-sided — AFC East rivalry for very long? We think not. Anyway, we’ve poked occasional fun at Ben and Lindsay’s relationship, but that’s mainly just because SNL producer and retired Batman are hilarious job titles to us. At the end of the day, they both seem like decent folk, and we wish them both all the best going forward. Although, Ben, your football team can go ahead and start sucking any day now. Earl Thomas Conley Dies; Country Singer, Blake Shelton’s "Hero" Was 77

Sad news out of the world of country music today, as multiple sources have confirmed that beloved artist Earl Thomas Conley has passed away. He was 77 years old. Best known for such 1980s hits as “Holding Her and Loving You,” “What I’d Say” and “Once In a Blue Moon,” Conley reportedly died in Nashville on Wednesday morning. The singer’s passing was announced by his longtime friend and frequent collaborator, Blake Shelton. “My heart is absolutely destroyed today,” Shelton wrote on his social media accounts. “I’m sad to report that Earl Thomas Conley passed away very early this morning.” Shelton and Conley had been friends for over 20 years. The duo worked together writing Blake’s “All Over Me” along with Michael Pyle. “Earl was my all time favorite singer, hero and my friend. Prayers to his family,” Shelton continued. “We will all miss you deeply my brother. Now go rest…” Conley had been in hospice care for several months and had been suffering from a degenerative condition described as being “similar to dementia” for several years. Speaking with The Tennessean , Earl’s brother, Fred Conley, stated that the singer’s death had been a slow and heartbreaking process. “He just kept losing ground,” Fred stated. “I’m brokenhearted.” Earl’s 22-year-old daughter Erinn Scates, who is also a musician, sang her father’s praises to the newspaper: “He was a great dad, and he filled our lives with color,” she said. Shortly after signing with Warner Bros. in 1980, Conley recorded his first hit, “Dreamin’s All I Do,” which quickly reached the Billboard Top 40. From there, Conley produced several more hits and racked up multiple Grammy nominations. Over the course of his career, Conley recorded 10 albums over 30 of his singles listed on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs. While Shelton may have been his closest friend in the industry, several other country music A-listers have paid tribute to Conley in the hours since his passing. “I am so sad to hear this news. ETC you will be greatly missed,” Trisha Yearwood wrote on social media, “So sad to hear #EarlThomasConley passed away today,” wrote John Rich of Big & Rich. “He was a huge influence on my style and songwriting. I studied his records like textbooks and could play every note of every song. Truly one of the all time greats in country music.” The sentiment was echoed by Jason Aldean, who tweeted: “RIP ‘ETC’… Man what a voice this guy had. Spent many nights listening and playing his songs. Country Music lost a great one today guys. #EarlThomasConley #ETC”  Our thoughts go out to Conley’s loved ones during this difficult time. Lori Loughlin is Finally Realizing She May Be Screwed

According to multiple new reports, Lori Loughlin has been playing a figurative game of poker with the district attorney’s office over the past few weeks. And while the actress thought prosecutors were only holding a pair of 2s, it turned out that they’ve basically been holding… yes, you guessed it: A full house. Tremndous puns and segues aside, Loughlin appears to now be in dire trouble with the law because she previously didn’t believe she was in any real trouble at all. Yes, the veteran star was indicted back on March 12 along with dozens of other defendents, accused at the time of bribing officials at the University of Southern California with $500,000 in order to get her two daughters into this university. The scheme involved dressing up her two kids in fake high school crew team uniforms in order to pretend they were athletic recruits and, thereby, get their admission standards lowered. The scam worked; the teenagers were accepted into USC; and then it all came crashing down a month ago. Despite the seriousness of the charges against her, however, Loughlin allegedly didn’t think she’d ever see any jail time. Which makes sense, right? She’s rich and privileged and these traits are how she ended up in this mess to begin with. Due to her ignorant and entitled attitude, Loughlin did NOT align herself with fellow actress Felicity Huffman. She did not plead guilty a couple days ago and accept a plea bargain that will most likely lead to a sentencing of a few months in prison… at most. About 24 hours later, Loughlin and her husband, Mossimo Giannulli, were charged in a second superseding indictment on conspiring to commit fraud and money laundering. As such, the couple now faces a maximum sentence of 40 years in prison, two decades a piece for each charge. Sh-t is very much getting real now for Loughlin — and it’s finally sinking in, insiders confirm. “Lori still believed in the end she would just get a slap on the wrist,” a source tells Entertainment Tonight. “At this point she is getting complete clarity and she’s scared and in terrible shape.” Another informant echoes this sentiment, explaining to E! News of Loughlin: “She has been in complete denial and thought maybe she could skate by. She refused to accept any jail time and thought the DA was bluffing. She was adamant she wouldn’t do any jail time.” Loughlin and her oldest daughter, Olivia Jade, are pictured here: “The reality of this situation has finally hit her like a ton of bricks,” the ET source adds. “It wasn’t until she was faced with [the] additional [charge] that she saw the true ramifications.” It’s been rumored from the start that prosecutors were intent on making an example out of Loughlin and her co-defendents. But while this message was apparently made clear to Huffman and the others who agreed to a plea deal this week, Loughlin’s ears were deaf to the situation. Huffman apologized profusely for her role in this nationwide scandal, releasing the following statement: Can we ever expect the same from Loughlin? It appears far too late at this point. “Lori is finally realizing just how serious this is,” says the ET mole, noting the former child model is beating herself up for not accepting the initial deal and concluding: “She is seeing the light that she will do jail time and is freaking out.”

Tristan Thompson: DITCHING Baby True on Her First Birthday?!

Folks, we really didn’t think it was possible, but it looks as though Tristan Thompson may have just sunk to a new low. By now you’ve probably heard that Tristan was caught cheating on Khloe Kardashian twice, and both instances took place under appalling circumstances. The first time, Khloe was pregnant with Tristan’s child. The second time — after she had naively taken him back — Tristan cheated with Jordyn Woods , the best friend of Khloe’s younger sister, Kylie Jenner. How, you may be asking yourself, is it possible for Tristan to mess with Khloe’s life any more than he already has? Why, by being a deadbeat dad, of course! To be clear, no one is accusing Tristan of stiffing Khloe on child support. Though his team often looked more like a bunch of D-league rejects this season, the Cavs are still an NBA franchise, and Tristan makes a good salary playing for them. But it seems that Tristan is dropping the ball in a different way by failing to be present for the major milestones in baby True’s life. True will celebrate her first birthday this week, and it seems Tristan is planning to be MIA for the occasion. His basketball season is over, so Tristan can’t blame his absence on work. Instead, he’s chalking it up — and we can’t believe we’re about to say this — to his intense fear of his baby mama’s family. “Tristan does not want to set foot near Khloe’s family because he knows how much they all despise him right now,” a source close to the situation tells Radar Online. “Khloe doesn’t even want Tristan to see True, regardless of what she says.” So we guess the silver lining is that Khloe gets to enjoy the day with her daughter, and her douchey baby daddy won’t be there to spoil the memory. Still, it’s absurd that a grown-ass man is missing his daughter’s first birthday party because he’s worried about getting dirty looks from Kris Jenner. “Tristan does not want to be there for the party because he does not want to get reamed all over again,” says the source. “He’s going to do what he always does, which is try to make up for missing out by buying True expensive gifts.” And sadly, he’s probably establishing the pattern that he and True will follow for the remainder of their relationship as father and daughter. He’ll do something selfish or negligent; she’ll get angry; he’ll buy her off with expensive gifts, and the cycle will continue. Kim Kardashian Is Going Back To School … To Become A Lawyer

Kim Kardashian West has finally figured out what she wants to be when she grows up.  At the age of 38 and with three kids at home, the reality star is giving us a MAJOR plot twist. And by major — I mean Kim just actually declared one. During a cover interview for this month’s Vogue issue, Kim opened up about a surprising life announcement … she’s becoming a lawyer.  Legit. She will actually be opening up a book and studying to become a lawyer.  The soon-to-be mother of four said she decided last summer to begin a four-year apprenticeship with a law firm in San Francisco, with the goal of taking the bar in 2022.  The exam that is so notoriously hard — especially in the state of California, where it spans three days — even Hilary Clinton failed it the first time around. Of course, she obviously went on to still have an extremely successful legal career — so I guess anything is possible for the reality star.  “I had to think long and hard about this,” Kim said.  The choice came from the combination of “seeing a really good result” with Alice Marie Johnson’s case while simultaneously feeling like she needed to do more. “I never in a million years thought we would get to the point of getting laws passed,” she says. “That was really a turning point for me.” Still, she knew her celebrity superpowers weren’t enough and she needed more, hence her desire to educate herself.  “The White House called me to advise me to help change the system of clemency, and I’m sitting in the Roosevelt Room with, like, a judge who had sentence criminals and a lot of really powerful people,” she explained.  “And I just sat there, like, Oh, shit. I need to know more.” Kardashian West, 38, has been working with author and CNN commentator Van Jones and attorney Jessica Jackson for months, visiting prisons, petitioning governors, and attending meetings at the White House.  Husband Kanye West already has his foot in the door there anyway — so why not!  “I would say what I had to say, about the human side and why this is so unfair. But I had attorneys with me who could back that up with all the facts of the case,” she explained.  “It’s never one person who gets things done; it’s always a collective of people and I’ve always known my role, but I just feel like I wanted to be able to fight for people who have paid their dues to society.” “I just felt like the system could be so different, and I wanted to fight to fix it, and if I knew more, I could do more,” she reasoned.  The reality star also revealed that she’s had a long interest in the subject thanks to her late father, Robert Kardashian. Robert was a businessman and attorney, who became a household name while helping defend friend O.J. Simpson in his infamous 1994 murder trial.  “On the weekend they used our home as an office, with Johnnie Cochran and Bob Shapiro,” the middle Kardashian child recalls.  “My dad had a library, and when you pushed on this wall there was this whole hidden closet room, with all of his O.J. evidence books. “On weekends I would always snoop and look through. I was really nosy about the forensics.” Ok, well hopefully Kim can at least learn in law school that evidence is not to be tampered with.  Luckily for Kim, considering she never finished college, California offers another path to passing the bar by “reading the law” or apprenticing with a practicing lawyer or judge. And according to Vogue , sometime this summer she will be taking what is known as the “baby bar” administered by the state; if she passes, she will be given the okay to continue for three more years of study.  “The reading is what really gets me,” she admits.  “It’s so time-consuming. The concepts I grasp in two seconds.” And when asked about the negative feedback she will inevitably face? “I don’t pay attention to that anymore,” she says.  “I love to be put in a situation where I can have a conversation with someone who might not be inclined to think much of me because I can guarantee they will have a different opinion and understand what’s important to me after they’ve met me.” She also has full support from her popular family members!  Kourtney Kardashian, 39, tells Vogue she thinks her sister is definitely lawyerly. “She seems to have all the answers or something like she just kind of knows,”  Kourt says. Momager Kris Jenner is on the same page as us, admitting that she “did not see this one coming.” “What didn’t surprise me was the way she embraced Miss Alice and how she was so hopeful for that outcome,” she adds. “When you find something that you’re just that passionate about, it’s not difficult; you don’t have to think about it — it just happens.” I guess we will see how difficult it proves to be this summer. Brittany Cartwright: ALREADY Pregnant With Jax Taylor’s Baby?!

At times, the current season of Vanderpump Rules has felt like the final episodes of a long-running high school drama. The characters we’ve watched party, cheat, fight, and generate endless drama for the past several years now appear much too old for such shenanigans, and the realization that it’s time for a change is bittersweet. Sure, it’s nice to see the cast finally grow up, especially since some of them are beginning to show physical signs of age, and dancing on a bar while guzzling tequila straight from the bottle is becoming a rather sad sight. (On high school dramas, this is a result of Hollywood’s tendency to cast 25-year-olds as freshmen. On Vanderpump , it’s a consequence of the fact that most of the cast was already in their thirties when the show premiered back in 2013.) But at the same time, we’re more than a little bummed that we’ll no longer be able to bear witness to all that debauchery. As they approach their middle years, the most enlightened grownups realize that if you cling to youth, the consolations of aging — wisdom, stability, a greater sense of self — are lost to you. And astonishingly, it seems no one in the Vanderpump cast is more aware of this fact than Mr. Jax Taylor. One of the recurring themes of this season is the notion that Taylor has changed his ways . And while we counted ourselves among the skeptics at first, it now looks as though Taylor may have been speaking the truth when he stated that his father’s death had caused him to see the light. For one thing, Jax is soon to marry Brittany Cartwright . The wedding will take place in June, and will be featured on the eighth season of Vanderpump . So fans have quite a wait ahead of them — and it seems many are convinced that Jax and Brittany were themselves unable to wait for their wedding night. There’s a widespread rumor on social media that Cartwright is already knocked up with Taylor’s baby. And ironically, comments the couple recently made to the contrary have only added fuel to the fire. “I’m definitely eager to have kids and Jax is eager to have kids. He’ll be 40 two weeks after [the wedding]. I’m 30, we’re ready. We’re buying a house,” Brittany recently told Us Weekly . “When it happens it happens. We’re not going to be very careful. We’re gonna let it come with God’s grace, and he’ll give us a baby when [it’s] ready.”  Jax echoed the sentiment saying he can’t wait to become a father. “We’ve been together for four years and my whole life has been a party, so I’ve done everything I wanted to do. Chris Marek: Scared to Marry Amy Roloff?

Little People, Big World star Amy Roloff was married to Matt Roloff for 27 years, but she seems excited to get hitched again. Or at least open to the idea. Boyfriend Chris Marek, however, seems a little … lukewarm at best when it comes to marriage. Last night on an all-new  Little People, Big World , Amy and Chris went on a camping trip with their friends Ron and Beth. Ron and Beth, Chris explains, got together around the same time, and “are trying to figure out what the future looks like.” “They’ve discussed marriage and living together, and they’re at that point where they’re trying to work that out.” Which is awkward for Chris. Because … Well, it’s been two and a half years of dating, and Amy is getting to the point where she’s interested in a long-term commitment. “I met Matt at a conference. I saw him four times, [then] we were married,” she says of her ex-husband, with whom she has four kids. “So dating Chris, I’m calling up my girlfriends and I’m like, ‘What is dating?! I don’t even know what the hell that is.” Chris, when asked about marriage? “I’ve seen a lot of failed marriages, a lot of divorces, in my family. All my siblings, my mother,” he says. “I mean, I saw a lot of examples of people that loved each other but could not live with each other.” “But I’m certainly not against marriage,” Marek adds. “I never thought I’d be this age and still single.” “I’m glad to see that you’re not against marriage, because that would be a problem,” Amy responded. [Crickets] Amy Roloff Fans Slam Chris Marek, Question His “Creepy” Motives “I’m certainly enjoying our journey,” Chris adds, but Amy wasn’t going to let it drop on that note, adding: “Marriage still works. It is an institution that does work … I’ve seen enough where it does give me hope.” Sounds like she’s dropping hints left and right. Later, Amy told the TLC reality show’s cameras that getting married is still “very, very important” to her. “Even though I’m divorced, I still value and will hold up high the whole concept, the reason, the purpose,” she said. “And if by chance I get to do that again, I would still put everything that I can, as best as I can, to make it work.” Nice to see one divorce hasn’t clouded her views on future relationships at what is clearly a different phase of life.
