“Miss Garrett” From “The Facts Of Life” Says She Felt “Less Than A Woman” When Husband Revealed Gay Secret!

That’s a foul thing to do that nice old lady… Facts Of Life Star Talks Her Husband Gay Secret Via RadarOnline Charlotte Rae – best known for playing affable Edna Garrett on Diff’rent Strokes and The Facts of Life, is revealing that her ex-husband of 25 years was secretly gay. The 86-year-old Emmy and Tony Award nominated actress – who’s shopping a memoir called The Facts of My Life – says her then husband, Grammy Award winning (Amadeus) composer John Strauss, dropped a bombshell on her shortly after they moved into a new home in Los Angeles in the 1970s. He confessed he was gay and that he had been unfaithful. “First came the shock of what he had done behind my back, then the sting of being deceived for years,” Rae writes. “All I could feel was the betrayal and, worse than that, my shame.” Rae and Strauss married in 1950, had two kids and divorced in 1975 after Strauss revealed his secret. He died in 2011 following a long battle with Parkinson’s disease. “John’s secret confirmed my feelings of inferiority,” Rae writes. “That I was less than a woman . . . That I didn’t deserve to be loved and valued.” Damn, that has to suck. Would you take it as a personal slight if your husband or significant other admitted that they were gay?? Image via YouTube

The Voice Results: Who Made the Final 3?

After four terrific performances Monday night, The Voice now has its final three. With NO idea how things would shake out, the four remaining singers were on pins and needles to learn if they would earn one of the coveted spots in the finals. As has been the case since the live shows began, the coaches have no sway; it’s all up to America now, and it’s every singer (not team) for himself or herself. So who’s out and who’s on to the finals? Let’s find out: The singer eliminated from The Voice tonight is … Trevin Hunte! Terry McDermott and Cassadee Pope of Team Blake were the first two finalists announced, followed by Nicholas David of Team Cee Lo in the closing moments. Those three are on to the finals next Monday night. Trevin, for all his talent, fell just a little bit short last night and ends his run on Season 3 in fourth place. Agree with America’s call? This result will likely be debated, as will which of the surviving stars has the best chance to win next week. Have it it below! Do you agree with The Voice results tonight?   Yes, America got this one right. No, Trevin got robbed! Ravi Shankar Dies; Music Veteran Was 92

Ravi Shankar, a legendary Indian sitar player and songwriter who was a major influence on The Beatles, has passed away. He was 92. Shankar’s manager, Earl Blackburn, emailed Bloomberg.com with the sad news, confirming that the musician died at a hospital near his residence in California. He underwent heart-valve replacement surgery on Thursday. Seen above with George Harrison, Shankar helped the iconic band member learn Eastern music, remaining a force in the industry for decades and being nominated for a 2013 Grammy Award for Best World Music Album for “The Living Room Sessions, Part 1.” Shankar is also the father of Norah Jones. He served in the Indian Parliament between 1986 and 1992 and last worked with Harrison in 1997; they collaborated on Shankar’s “Chants of India.”
